We exchanged text messages beforehand where he explained how everything worked, what to expect, and what we needed to bring, which helped make us feel prepared and comfortable before even arriving. The process starts with a trial lesson, which costs less than the standard tuition and gives families an opportunity to see if the program is a good fit. They also offer Saturday time slots, which is a huge plus since the kids are in school during the week. The facility itself is very clean, organized, and unique compared to other swim schools we have looked at. They require everyone to rinse off before and after lessons, and the overall environment felt well maintained and professional. Most of the instructors appeared to be younger, likely college students, but every single one we interacted with was attentive, careful, and great with the kids. We chose HSC because we liked the idea of the float test. The kids work toward being thrown into…read morethe water with clothes on and floating on their back until they reach the edge. In reality, you just need to pay attention to whether or not your kid and their teacher are a good match. My son was with one teacher for almost year with very slow progress and no float test pass. I think it was due to the combo of teacher being more cautious type and my son being more scared type. He was a 4 almost 5 year old in a class with 3 years olds. Anyway, it was my fault for not paying more attention and switching him to another class sooner. He is did great with his new teacher and passed his float test (finally). We had to switch him again recently due to scheduling conflicts and I will be more attentive to his progress from now on.

They host birthday parties is well. Daughter just had a birthday party there recently and she had a blast! They provide lifeguards as well during these parties. You get out $100 off if you are member! Our children need to learn how to swim, that's a must. Most deaths under the age of 5yrs occur due to a pool/water related death. This is main reason why I started group lessons for my daughter at 3yr (they offer private lessons as well if that's more suitable). They even offer private lessons for adults. I need to undergo these classes, my child will be the one saving my life as of now! Ahhh!! ... Pool for the lessons is warm and used for the parties as well!
