We took our 3 month old for bath time babies class while we were visiting family in Houston for a month and he loved all six of his classes we were able to attend. The instructors are so wonderfully amazing and friendly and the facility is so clean! I love this place. My daughter started around 2 yr old and currently in level 10 at 6 yr old. She has been with several different instructors as she advanced but Ms. Diana made the biggest impact early on which motivated my daughter to push through when she was hesitating around age 3 and couldn't swim with a parent anymore. We have had several great instructors as well including Jasmine, Zyahra & now Alex. The front desk is always helpful and welcoming. I love how they know Liya by name and keep us updated on her progress with continuous progress cards. The coaches will give you feedback at the end of the 30 min lesson and give phone calls as well. Our son learns a lot in a couple months at each level, and whenever there are psychological issues (such as when he was afraid to go underwater at 1.5 yrs or when he was afraid to swim without a parent after 2 yrs) -- someone would step in to give him personalized attention and guidance, which worked like a charm. We started our son here when he was about 13 months old. He loved the class and his teacher. After over one year in the same level he was having a hard time moving forward. He started to become scared of the submersions and would cry for most of the class. We were about to give up but they were kind enough to come up with a personalized plan for him. We had a couple of private lessons with Ms. Edith and she worked magic on our son. He has now moved to the next level and of course Ms. Edith is his instructor. My daughter, Rebel, has been coming to this swim school for over a year. She's learned so much and gained so much confidence from not only the classes but also the staff. From the front desk all the way to her most recent instructor, Coach Diana. She adores her coach! She talks about her and "swim swim" all week. I appreciate how patient and firm they are with her. I believe the staff does a great job making everyone feel welcome and keeping the facilities clean. This is truly a horrible business. There was once blood on the floor in the pool area that no one bothered to clean up for the entire time we were in class. The rest of the facility is dirty. Their teacher put my son under water and pushed him causing him to be severely disoriented and afraid of the water now. I tried for several months to cancel my subscription. The only way you can do this apparently is through some app where they have to send you a link. I found this out after 2 months of trying to get a hold of someone, anyone, to cancel our subscription. All they ever told me was "we can't refund you because of our policy." Will never be back. Do not recommend anyone take their kids here. read more

This is really an exceptional place. Classes are 1-4 student per lane, so the coaches can give directed, special attention to each one. As the classes progress, I always see 2 or more managers walking the perimeter of the pool area, checking on safety. Emler also routinely holds safety weeks, where they practice skills for accidentally falling into water, falling out of a canoe, etc, even with full clothes on! The coaches have been universally caring and motivational, and they work hard to advance the kids' swimming education, so that they grow up as confident, experienced swimmers. The facility is clean, and a comfortable size, and accommodates changing needs for infants, up to showers for kids. Yes, it can be challenging to reach the front desk by phone at certain times... but swim days can be hectic with all the families, and the staff devote their attention to the enrolled families, as they should. Calling mid-day works. This location emphasizes safety, education, and *community* with frequent community outreach. It's exactly what we would hope. read more

I book this place for a private party for my son's 2nd birthday. I booked and paid up front with Candace who was very sweet and nice . She told us we could bring in any kind of decorations and floatation devices . She also mention I could add and additional hour for the party time later down the line . Three weeks before the party I tried to contact Elmer to make sure Everything was all set for my sons party . It was definitely hard trying to get in contact with anyone there , I finally spoke to a staff member who put my name down for updates on my party and to run my card for the additional hour for the party duration . I was not contacted prior to the event. I finally spoke to Parker the day before my event to make sure everything was in order for the party and to add the additional hour. Parker said he could not add the additional hour , he said there phones weren't working properly, which is why I probably wasn't able to Get in contact with anyone . He mentioned They couldn't find life guards to stay the extra hour or 30mins . He said my card wasn't charged anyways for the additional hour . So that was unfortunate! ! So On the day of the event , the staff told us we couldn't tape decorations on the wall , we had to put decorations on the window. Which was not mentioned by Candace , but we still made it work ! And the decorations came out nice !! Also we couldn't use floatation devices that had a cover on it . ( toddler floaters with sun top) . The major issue I had with ELMER SWIM SCHOOL , was the life vest they give to children that couldn't swim was to tight !! The life jacket left 3 kids from our party with a cut / burn in between the legs where it is strap at . My daughter had to go to the doctor for the cut and so did the others . It was due to the jacket being too tight, it was rubbing against their skin . Of course being in the water the children didn't feel it until the next day . I tried calling staff , no answer as usual. I HAVE DOCTORS DOCUMENTATION OF THE INCIDENTS. The lifeguards put the children on the life jackets and sized them. The facility pool is great and warm . The lifeguards was very nice and helpful. The Facility was clean . Just BEWARE of what is ALLOWED and make sure the LIFE JACKETS /VEST fits your CHILD and isn't too TIGHT.MAKE SURE THE LIFE GUARDS DOUBLE CHECKS SIZING WHEN PUTTING THE CHILDREN ON THE LIFE JACKETS. read more

My daughter was in Bathtime Babies soon after she turned 4 months. Bathtime babies enroll ages 3 months to 6 months for a 18 week class. We decided to pay for tuition since classes were 3 to 4 students per class. Once my daughter turned 6 months, we were told she could not continue in the class because of her age. This did not make sense to me, because she did not have the opportunity to complete the entire class. This is like telling a parent, "Your child is 19 years of age and even though they did not complete the course work, they are graduating.....what????" Again, makes no sense. This was the first red flag. My husband and I spoke to the manager and asked questions about the next class up. We were concerned about older kids in the class with our then 6 month old. The manager basically said to keep the classes going so our daughter can continue learning. My husband asked a good question, regarding the age. Once our daughter completes this class, she will not be old enough to continue to the next class. Parker said once she passes, she can continue. We began the next class semester and this instructor basically told my husband on the first day, she was a bit young for the class activities. Second red flag. If that was the case, why in the hell did the manager take our money and encouraged us to keep going. A few classes, I noticed there were over 4 kids in the class. I asked the lady with the beard (she was cold during every interaction), she made up an answer out of her a**. I informed her of what the school's policies were, she had no idea, so she made up an answer that made no sense. I had to explain what the company's website stated. Third red flag. Fast forward to week 17, the instructor left for a better opportunity and one of the deck managers substituted. We learned after attending class for 17 weeks, the previous instructor did not give accurate instructions on the "breath hold" activity. Are you kidding me, fourth red flag. Week 18, last class would you believe no one followed up with us, told us if our daughter graduated the class. We had to ask the front desk associate, the cold lady I prefer not talking to, and she said we will have to pay for more classes until our daughter is old enough to continue. Whaaattt??? My daughter take the same class again. I'm done!!!! I would take some of these reviews with a grain of salt, since the school was offering freebies for parents who left them reviews. My son had is 9th birthday party here and it was great! The pool was big enough for them to all play around but not be on top of each other! Had the pool buddy was great! My youngest just completed one season of lessons here. It's a nice facility with seating for parents both within and outside the heated pool area. The staff all seem to be well trained and supported with clear class lesson plans. My child had some teacher transitions mid-season as well as days where 1-2 kids needed extra attention during the class. Typically they have extra staff in the pool to help teachers in these situations but sometimes there were just more needs than trained hands! The staff was very proactive about working with me to make sure my child got time to learn all the skills planned for this semester. It is very crowded on the weekend. I can barely hear the coach. When I went to the orientation, the coach basically doesn't have time to check which class my child should enroll. By the way, they told me to bring my baby to the orientation to let them evaluate which class is good for her. In the end, I still don't know which class I should enroll. Totally waste of my time for communicating back and forth for the same issue. Too many parents were asking in the front desk. It was impossible for a mom with her kid to stand there to wait forever to ask a simple question. They are the most expensive swim school in Houston, and yet doesn't have the best service at all. I feel like they only want to earn parents' money because it's easy to earn. In addition, all the good other swim school are full right now, so they don't care about their quality. Our class instructor Justin is wonderful as he's patient, enthusiastic, and has shared a number of tips to ease our son into learning how to swim (our son didn't like submerging his head under water at first). I've been bringing my son to the Babies class for about a month now and this place is great! Before this class my son would scream at bath time but now he just sits quietly and doesn't seem to mind it at all and I really attribute that to this class helping him form a positive association with water. The babies class is 30 minutes which is about as much as a 3.5 month old can handle. You get in the water with them and there are songs and activities to help develop different swimming related skills. (E.g. kicking, blowing bubbles, etc...) It's adorable and actually a lot of fun. Dustin is a fantastic instructor and always has such an upbeat attitude. We will for sure be signing up for next semester! read more

I was on the waiting list for another swim school when someone in my mom group recommended Emler. I called them that day and was able to get into an introduction class that SAME day! Needless to say I went with Emler (That other school has yet to call me back)! The instructor calmly and thoroughly went through the class curriculum all while my baby cried because she wasn't used to her surroundings. We just got done with her third class and she is doing very well! They even have acclimation times (for free!) where you can come in before you class and get your baby acclimated to the water. There is a huge area where you can watch your child during their class. The place is always so clean! There are so many great things about this swim school, come see for yourself! The staff is great! Nice facility. You will feel it is an interesting place to learn swimming. However, the class is only 30mins and in one session, there is 2-4 children, each child actually has 7.5mins--15mins. So you pay for 30mins, but actually your child only get a few mins to learn. read more

1. They registered my son for the wrong class time. He ended up being accommodated, but had to have 3 different teachers. I appreciated the effort, but I don't think that's how swim lessons are designed to work - there was no continuity of instruction. I chalked it up to being a new location. 2. I wanted to resister my kids for weekly lessons (after they completed their daily lessons). I was told someone would call me the next day to let me know if they could create a morning class for my son's "swimmer" level. No one ever called. I called and spoke with someone at corporate a few days later who said that they would look into it and call me back the same day. She never called back. We have loved Emler Swim School for our son R. All the coaches have been exceptional but Mr. Elmer is by far amazing - he has been strict but gentle with our son and we have been so pleased. Also, with all the coronovirus chaos, the office has been so responsive and safe and we truly could not be more pleased. Let me just say how much I love love love the great job this location did on my daughter's birthday party here. They were helpful in set up and decor, they had so many staff members there to help which made my life super easy.. and then because there was so much staff there to keep eyes on the kids, I had no stress about the children's safety during the party. I didn't feel a need to keep such a close eyes on the kiddos so I could just enjoy myself. My daughter and her friends had the BEST time. And I loved that you get the entire place to yourself for the party. Amazing Job!!! It took me forever to get around to writing this review so the names below of the people who worked the party may or may not still work there but here you go. Tipahi was the lifeguard, Elmer was the swim buddy, Jada was the host, and Whitney was the 2nd lifeguard. They were amazing. I can't say enough how much I appreciated them. Oh my kid also takes classes here. They are wonderful at teaching her to swim too. I tried a different company in the past and I wasn't a fan, but this companies approach is way different and I like it a lot better. She likes swim class, always asks me to go to swim class, and is actually learning how to swim. I wish I could give Emler's 10 stars! This place is the best! Not only is it a beautiful facility, but the staff is over the top amazing and professional. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smile. All employees make the effort to remember kids names and make them feel welcome and safe. Both my daughters have been taking lessons here for about a month. Within 2 lessons they were both swimming!! My oldest daughter has a terrible fear of water. Her teacher, Mr. Elmer, has gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable, even arranging a complementary private lesson/"bonding lesson". His kindness and patience are so appreciated and he has instilled confidence in my daughter that was missing before. His passion for teaching is reflected in my daughters new found love of swimming. Just did our first swim lesson here this week. I was super impressed. The building was clean, the pool was crystal clear (also heated so it was very comfortable for my daughter to get in) the staff were all very friendly. My daughter is pretty reserved/shy around new people. Her Emler swim teacher was amazing!! Super warm, created a safe and happy environment, and knew to give her time to warm up. I was amazed that by the end of the 1/2 hour lesson my daughter was highfiving the teacher and talking to her--which for my quite little one is a big deal. The teachers really seam to know what they are doing and have clear objectives for each class. read more

We are so happy to finally have a high quality swim school in our area. Everyone here is very welcoming and the front staff, especially Julius, is friendly and professional. We had a few hiccups with schedules being moved and teachers changed but mainly because they are new and they were trying to get their schedule in order.
