I have visited this location two times. My first visit the food was better. It was well seasoned and more tasty. I really need to and plan to return to the original location in downtown Detroit. I just feel the chicken wings are more flavorful and my hummer ice cream cocktail is delicious at that location. Service has been good both times here. The waiters are pleasant. The ambiance is decent and it's a small bar with booths and tables. It's not fancy and more of a hole in the wall. The food is hit or miss. The chicken wings can be good and they can also be just ok. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty on this visit. This visit the wings were ok. The steak bites were good. I enjoyed the steak bites more than the signature wings. The steak bites were well seasoned with onions and mushrooms. The mushrooms were canned mushrooms though. Then with the A1 Sauce added it was a good. The drinks are STRONG. I can say this is a great thing. Overall an average visit. I probably will try another location and see if the hype is still there. read more

Went last Sunday night spur of the moment (10pm ish) cause the bridal shower I attended earlier only had pork in their food which I don't eat. I walk in, not very crowded but little groups here and there. Great food when you can get it. Usually any delivery gets canceled after three drivers time out. You can be the only table In the place and it's guaranteed to take 45 minutes. It's tough to get downtown, and parking sucks there, so I don't get them often. Happened to get some on the way back from Bedford a couple weeks ago. They were pretty good. So...Friday night Eric, Jake and I went to the new Eastpointe location instead of Detroit to check it out. It was a great experience, and here are the details. 1. Parking was easy, on site and free 2. The restaurant/bar was clean and welcoming. 3. Our waitress was efficient, attentive, funny, and managed to get Michigan/PSU wrestling on the big screen for us. 4. Prior to ordering, I spoke with the manager and let him know that we had planned to go to the D, but decided to try the Eastpointe spot. He told us that all recipes are exactly the same. "Don't worry man, you're gonna love it." 5. We all ordered wings, but I got the wings/rib tip combo. 6. All food was absolutely fantastic. Service was great, atmosphere was on-point. I even ordered wings/fries to go. 7. I ate the carry out today for lunch, tasted even better in the air fryer. Conclusion: It was so good. We can't wait to go back. If you've never had Sweetwater wings, they are different than most. They are marinated and then fried, then sauced. Just so good. I can't compliment them enough. I'll admit, the reviews didn't grab my attention and nearly deterred me from making a visit. Don't let it. The wings and fries, their staple, are just as mouth watering as those served up in Detroit. Freshly opened! We were there about a week ago and they had plenty of staff, tables, bar space, tvs, and food. Actually, they were out of a couple things when we were in in a Sunday, but there was lots of others to choose from. I got chicken tenders, coleslaw, and a side of the Mac and cheese - that Mac and cheese was delicious. You could tell that the beer battered chicken was fresh, not from frozen.
