We've been coming here a long time because we love the wings. We continued to go and dealt with all the covid era BS (prices doubled and cash only, etc.) Now a days the place has gone way downhill. The last four times my son and I went the wings were cold and chewy. The first time, maybe an off day but it just keeps happening and now we are done. The place reeeeeks of weed. (no judgement!) But, Maaaan it was painfully overwhelming. They are now including 20% gratuity automatically with no warning. This used to be in our top 5 for wings but no longer. No reason to go back. I've been here a few times and it's either hit or miss. The first time I came for a burger and it was good. Not great but good. Service was friendly and I had no issues. Next visit my friend and I decided to try their wings since they claim they have the best wings in the area They were as small as my thumbnail and cooked to almost burnt black. I ordered my wings plain and it came doused in hot sauce which I'm not a fan of. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she said well that's all the wings we have because we sell out fast. Fine no problem. I paid my bill, got a to-go box and gave it to the homeless gentleman on the corner of Dequindre. Hopefully he enjoyed them more than I did. Also want point out that depending on what night you go the clientele greatly varies. On the night with the wings it was a pretty rough crowd inside and when we were leaving someone sideswiped my friend's car. To his credit he did stop and apologized but said he had no insurance and took off. There wasn't any major damage and my friend was able to buff out most of the scratches. Then when we got up to get our tabs, the food and beverages were mixed up on our bills and a gratuity was already added to the total. visting detroit was in the mood for some wings but not just any wings. i wanted them to be legit. I was raised in the south so i know what good wings are. and these wings were on point. They were seasoned great with a little hint of lemon pepper. That surprised me and made me enjoy it more. They were the perfect size wings and not inflated like Wingstop wings. Visited Bugsy's on a Saturday Night for food and drinks. The food was great and they had a very fun Karaoke going. In addition they have a great outdoor patio where you can drink and smoke if you are interested. I loved all the waitresses and bartenders. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend. read more

Thankfully, we figured out the happy hour deal ourselves since the waitress did not mention it. Once three o'clock hit, we loaded up on the five dollar appetizers, which helped because without that, our bill would have been closer to one hundred dollars. The food itself is nothing special, mostly fried options like fries, cheese sticks, and other bar food. It is definitely not worth the high prices. I also felt bad for our waitress. She seemed stressed and unhappy, just doing her job without much engagement. She was fine, so this rating is not about her but strictly about the food prices. Started working close to Bugsy's 2 years ago and decided to stop by one night with my roommate. So glad we did. The wings are so fricken good. They taste like your family's backyard BBQ. We get house wings with ranch and split a BLT w/ cheese. 10/10. Amber, Sam & Jaz are the icon trio of bartenders we fell in love with. But honestly all of the afternoon staff is super chill. Sometimes it's crazy busy and sometimes it's quiet and more intimate. They don't rob you for drinks, it's worth a stop. Cute spot to watch a game! Bugsy's is very low-key and giving dive bar prices (very budget friendly) but definitely a step up and doesn't feel as grimey as a dive (I was comfortable eating out their kitchen lol!). Speaking of kitchen, the wings are so good! Note that you can only get 1 flavor when ordering 10 wings but can get up to 2 flavors when ordering 20 wings. Garlic Parmesan and House Mild Buffalo were the best of the 3 flavors (Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ is the 3rd flavor), but I did wish there was truly a HOT flavor. The wings were good though and rather small in size so I easily ate a 10 piece and wasn't overly stuffed; if you have a larger appetite then you may wanna order a 20 piece minimum. Also, if you like saucier wings then pay the additional $0.50 for them to be double dipped. Cajun fries were the perfect pairing but pass on the Cole Slaw (I was trying to be balanced & healthy but it wasn't good). Plenty of TVs all over the place along with large tables perfect for groups & plenty of bar seating so perfect to watch a game. There's a parking lot on the side of building with free parking too. There was only 1 bartender working who managed both the bar and tables, and she did a very efficient time making sure all guests were tended too in a timely manner. Oh and did I mention they have a board with a long list of daily drink specials that will pique your interest (on Mondays you can get Liquid Marijuana for $6!). Out of the five years I've been coming here I can say I've definitely seen a downward slope. They lost one of the best server/bartenders, ever since then the service has not been the same. The wings are always consistently good, don't count on having them on happy hour. It always fluctuates when you can get a good deal on them or not so there's no consistency there. My most recent visit I brought my child who's been in the facility at least six other times and we were told we had to leave because the owner doesn't want to hear kids there anymore, which is fine I totally get it. Was just trying to grab dinner and leave with my family and friends we would have been out of the facility by 7. Fortunately for us being kicked out brought us to a bar down the street called Coaches. I have to say the food was better quality by far, the facility was way cleaner and not so dark like this place, and the service was amazing. It was a very pleasant turn of events! I highly recommend Coaches bar and Grill one mile down the road. read more

When I came here it was not very busy. I came during the day and it was very dark in the inside. It was a bit too dark. I ordered 10 chicken wings with buffalo sauce and a side a fries. I could not taste the buffalo I asked for buffalo sauce. The food was good. read more

As I pull up I notice the sign that states "Best wings in North America." That's a bold statement, so I pull over immediately and give them a try. I open the door and it is very very dark in here. At 12:30pm on a friday they are packed and with only two waitresses working the bar as well as the tables, it's a little slow, however they are busting their butts and going as fast as they can. Bravo on the effort! Looking at the menu, the prices are GREAT! Only $9.50 for 20 wings and $3 for a 22 oz. Beer. Great place to watch sports as they have no shortage of TVs. It's a dive bar and I'm always down to find hidden gems like this. After receiving food: The wings are smaller than I expected. I understand now why they're low on the price. However, this is a plus in ways as they probably use organic chickens, which I prefer. Flavor: good flavor, but on the saltier side. The mild sauce wasnt weaker than a broken wrist and I had to add Frank's red hot to even taste some spice. Ranch is 5/5. Great ranch. However for the wings, far from the throne for best wings. I live right next to this place and pass by the sign stating best wings ever on the billboard all the time. Finally stopped in and it is a really cozy bar and waitstaff was really nice and quick. Wings, best ever... not sure about that. As a measurement you HAVE to be better than BW3 in my opinion and I think they are. Bad news is they only have 3 sauces, yes 3... they were good but best ever, not going to agree with that. Will I be back to have more wings, you bet! The 3rd time's the charm so she hurriedly took the order. 20 garlic and 20 buffalo, celery, ranch, and extra ranch. When I got there I stood at the end of the bar for a while waiting to cash out. Not very friendly, frazzled, and understaffed, so plan ahead. These wings are smaller than I think I've ever seen, and were a bit dry. I placed an order for pick up. The order was very simple 10 bbq wings and loaded fries. I was quoted $36. She claimed she fixed. It's now $25. When I arrived, she explained what was on the internet was incorrect. I handed her my card. Well, the order was wrong when I told her I ordered 10 wings not 20. Her response was 20 is better for you because 10 wings is $12. No, what's better is that my order is what I asked for. I was disappointed with the entire order. The fries were nasty didn't have any onions as advertised. And the wings, were just average. They have gone down in the quality of food and definitely in customer service. Pretty cool dive bar that is well known in the area. The sunken bar is a little different and I sometimes myself feeling like I was sitting at the kids table on Thanksgiving. Lots of tvs and a good place to watch a game. The sign says "best wings you will ever have" so you know I took that challenge! Wings were good, but were the tiniest wings I've ever seen. This is one of those local bars you won't forget. Well why you ask? for one, the sunken bar and the second reason has got to be world famous chicken wings. For those two reasons alone I don't think I'll ever forget bugsy. Yeah the wings are kind of skimpy so maybe saying that they are world famous is a little bit of a stretch but they're pretty good. And I'm sure you'll remember scarfing down these little bad boys, They're tasty fried just right and all the sauces we're good on the wings and you can get 20 of them suckers for under ten bucks, try to do that at Hooters. Yeah the place is full of locals and most of them are pretty damn grumpy, yelling back and forth across the bar, making this place feel a little unpleasant. But at the same time if your one of the locals or you enjoy that kind of stuff then you'll probably go five stars. But for me it was more like 3 or 3 1/2 I'm sure I'll be back one time or another, I got to go back for the wings, or maybe try some other stuff on the menu.
