We hadn't been to Firehouse Pub in a few years, so we were curious to stop back in on a Sunday and see how it was. We had a Clipp offer for $30 worth of food for $15, which gave us a good excuse to revisit. We ordered the Bash Burger and the Chicken Caesar Wrap. Before ordering the Caesar wrap, I asked our server what she thought of it, and I really appreciated her honesty. She said that, personally, she finds the chicken a little dry, although she doesn't usually get complaints about it. We decided to order it anyway since we like trying and comparing Caesar wraps from different local places. She thoughtfully brought a side of Caesar dressing with it to help with the dryness. The dressing is the oil based ceasar, not the creamy. The wrap was good, but she was definitely right about the chicken being dry. There was a lot of chicken and not much lettuce, so I think a better balance of the two would improve it, especially with dry chicken. I did really like that the wrap itself was toasted. The garlic parmesan fries were great. I especially loved that they use thick crinkle-cut fries. The Bash Burger was the standout. It was awesome and cooked exactly as ordered. We ordered it without the BBQ sauce. The pork belly was a little lacking, and the two jalapeño slices were so thick that I would have preferred several thinner slices spread throughout the burger. But the smoked Gouda was fantastic, and the house-battered haystack onions were especially good. I did find that the burger needed a little salt, but once I added some, all of the flavors really popped. I would absolutely come back for this burger. I also really like their regular crinkle-cut fries. Our server was friendly, attentive and genuinely nice to chat with. We appreciated her honesty about the food and that she checked in with us to make sure everything was good and see if we needed anything else. The atmosphere is still fun, too. We love the firefighter and sports theme, especially since both run in our family. On Sundays they have a Bloody Mary bar, which we didn't partake in this time, and there was also a live guitarist/singer while we were there who was great. They have a great selection of drinks. Overall, it was a really enjoyable return visit after being away for a few years. There are a couple things I'd tweak with the food, but the Bash Burger, fries, friendly service and Sunday atmosphere definitely gave us reasons to come back. read more

Went here for a Dad's night out with my two friends. Server was absolutely awful, rude and inconsiderate. My two buddies enjoyed their food but I got nachos with beef and the beef was flavorless, obviously grease was not drained or taken out and i got food poisoning! Will never go here again! read more

Went here for brunch the other day on a Sunday. Happy to say it was the right place to go! All you can drink mimosa and Bloody Mary bar with amazing bloody fixings to include shrimp and of course, bacon. Got the chance to try the fried PBandJ with strawberry! Another place I ended up twice at in one weekend. First for dinner and drinks in Friday with my husband and second for brunch on Sunday with my friends. Both visits were excellent! They have a great menu and an even better brunch menu! I also love all the Detroit and fire house memorabilia on the walls. One point to mention though, if you are still COVID-wary, there does not seem to be any social distancing. Tables were packed and close together. read more

I really hate giving local establishments low scores. But I would be remiss not to let Yelp viewers know my experience. Went for lunch, only a few patrons. Ordered lunch special. Hamburger and fries. $8.99, they charged $ 0.25 for one piece wilted lettuces, $0.25 for a few slivers of onions and another $0.25 slice tomato. I requested medium rare, and was served medium well. Although few diners, the waitress was slow to check in us. When I showed her the hamburger, she offered to replace it....but I did not have time to wait another 15 minutes for a 2nd attempt at cooking as requested occurred. There was no reduction to my tab, either. My guest ordered 1/2 slab of ribs. Big disappointment. While the ribs fell off the bones, the meat was dried out and tasteless, relying solely on the bbq sauce served on top. read more

Some chick was blocking the door wearing a backpack, wouldn't even move after saying excuse me. I never bash or leave bad reviews due to understaffing or other in house issues but to day I ordered a Reuben sandwich today the menu on line I looked at before going to the restaurant, it said wigglys corned beef so I had my order in my head before I even went there, I ordered sweet potato fries as a up charge that were dried out and overcooked but the Reuben meat was dried out stringy meat? An important point to make at the start is that we did not eat or watch sports or do anything other than visit the 3 on the Sponge Rock and Roll Pub Crawl this past weekend. I am reviewing the atmosphere of Firehouse and how it is as place to see a band play. The 90's band Sponge hosted a Rock and Roll Pub Crawl and the last place they played, their third stop, was Firehouse. We had already been here once because this is where the Pub Crawl started, however the band didn't play here. We all hopped buses to the first place that they played and worked our way back. The atmosphere is really cool and lots of cool firefighter stuff, but not overpowering. It doesn't feel like you are in some hoarder's basement. It has just enough to make it feel right. This is a place that I would like to visit and watch a game or enjoy something off of the food menu. The beer selection was great and the food that I saw others eating looked good. Sponge played a solid one hour set, interacted with the fans and the bands that were also playing there at night and took some requests. I recommend Firehouse Bar and Grill as a place to see live bands, if they are playing there and hopefully will be able to visit another time and enjoy the bar and grill itself. read more

We live in the area and most importantly have been here before! We went here on a Saturday night so we knew it would be busy, no problem waiting to be seen for a table. I was here for a ladies night out this week and thought it was a nice place. Our waitress was super attentive for such a spread out group, and kept our tabs through the event before efficiently and accurately wrapping it all up as the event ended. We also had appetizers which were tasty. I especially liked the fried green beans and the fried mushrooms. With ranch dressing, obvs. The wings looked good, but I didn't want to make a mess. What a cool pub. We went unbeknownst to us on their grand opening and we were wowed. We lucked out on a table for 2 when we entered as there was a long line but no 2somes. Started with the pretzels and beer cheese dip. Yummmmy. I ordered a pizza with pep.saus, and onions. The pizza was top notch with a nice airy dough and plenty of toppings. My friend ordered the Reuben made with Wigleys corn beef and just as yummy served with parmesan cheese fries. Our server, Jessica, was as nice as could be. Attentive and fun to be around. This was our first visit and it probably will be our last. We went for some drinks and appetizers during happy hour. The service was good. The place only had about six people in the whole place while we were there. My husband asked for a recommendation for a good wheat beer. The waitress checked with the bartender who made a recommendation and she provided a sample. My husband liked the sample and asked for a pour. When our waitress brought back the pour it was very cloudy. I had never seen a beer look like that and it's not what the sample had looked like. When we questioned it, we were told the sample was a different beer. What? Why? They did replace the beer with something else when we asked them to. I had ordered one of the house speciality drinks called Shot of Love. It was tasty, but when I ordered a second one, the waitress told me they had run out of strawberry pucker and would it be okay to substitute mixed berry pucker? I said yes and then noticed it originally should have been made with raspberry pucker! How do you let yourself run out of an ingredient in one of your signature drinks?? Apps were $5 each during happy hour. We ordered wings, Mac and cheese, and soft pretzels. The best part was the pretzels but they serve them with canned cheese and a subpar mustard. Went here on a whim for some beers and wings and was very surprised at how good they were. Baked then fried (no batter), which really made a difference. Get the sauces they offer on the side. Faygo BBQ was terrific. Have been back two more times with same good results, so it's no fluke and they might just be the best wings on the Eastside. Very surprising to see some bad reviews on here, considering our visits have been good. Nice waitstaff which seems to keep up with everything. Wanna start positive by saying the aesthetic is very nice, and gives a nice vibe. However the service and food was HORRIBLE. I ordered "mozzarella logs" (their take on cheesy sticks pretty much) they came out looking like a half fried stick of butter wasn't even edible, Philly cheese steak tasted like Rubber and cheese, and the burger I asked to be well done an come with no bacon an some other toppings removed.
