Said it would be better than to change the whole heater core. Called me back that evening with a diagnosis that a new heater core is needed to fix this issue. Flushing the system did not ratify the issue. Priced me $1,100. l let him do the repair. Heat was better but not as warm as it should've been. By spring season heat was back to the same when we originally brought the car in. Called to let him know. He said to bring it back in and we did. Pulled the car in, within no more than 5 minutes he came to me in the waiting area, said it's the heater core that's plugged again.. How can that be? It's a new heater core and he said he flushed it and it's still under warranty. He said he would do it through the warranty . But then Phil said l would have to give him another $180.00 to flush the system. So with any common sense one would know this would be included for this kind of repair.. Paid in full $1,100. SHAME on you to want another $180.00 for what l already paid you for saying it was fixed. This is not warranty. Bottom line you ripped us off for $1,100 . We will not bring our car back to this shop as this shop is not qualified for these types of issues. Phil is not to be trusted. Phil's feedback on these reviews, he is one who will candy coat them with lies to try to cover up what he does to people. 100% would not recommend this CROOK to anyone! When I started the car I noticed the check engine light was on. I called the shop first thing when they opened on the Monday and explained what happened and asked if it was ok to come in and have them take a quick look to make sure nothing was loose or out of place possibly or something else? I was told to come down it was no problem at all! All the work under the hood was checked and all was well and the car was then hooked up to the diagnostic machine and it was an error P2401(gas cap!!!!!) No charge to hook up and diagnose It either!! This was so nice and showed great customer care and I really appreciated it!!!!

I had an incident recently where a crack developed in my windshield within an hour of leaving after my service completion. It started at the bottom in the same area they were accessing the cabin filter where the cover tabs need to be pried off. Of course the worker was having trouble enough for the manager to go over to help and put in a new peg that was damaged. Thought nothing of it. So after getting to the car wash noticed a crack starting so I go back and it gets longer and eventually stops. Talked to manager, he said its not possible that it was from their work that a stone hit it. This was not possible because the crack started underneath the cover they needed to take off. Needless to say, I'll be driving with a cracked windshield until I can afford the $500 to replace it. Needless to say, I'm never going back and neither my circle of friends.

To make matters worse I had forgotten my wallet and did not have any change in my truck. Trying to think off who might be able to help I visited Car Nation first where I had purchased a Mustang only months earlier and nobody was able to help. Dom at Car Nation suggested I go to Unique and see if they could assist. When I arrived 3 sales staff were working, 2 women and 1 gentleman. The ladies ( and I wish I could remember their names but they know who they are) were very friendly and went to work to see how they might help. When she came back it was a group decision they were going to "Pay it Forward" with $20 to assist me. Needless to say, I was ecstatic and very relieved. They handed me a $20 bill and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving Day of which I returned the same. I would like to thank the staff on that day for their kindness and it restored my faith in humanity that in Ontario there are still good people whom have compassion because my experience since I moved back from Alberta that that has not been the case because of the pace of life in this sea of humanity. He said Boyd Auto would no longer deal with extended warranties. Is this a new company policy? I emailed Stu Boyd (owner) and did not receive a reply. I have been going to Boyd Auto since 2003 and now must leave to a full service garage.
