They chalked it up to a faulty part from a repair they did six months ago and fixed it again free of charge! I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I trust them and that says a lot. It's not always easy to find a shop to work on a Porsche to do any work. Too expensive, too far away, too snobbish. don't answer e-mails. Well, stop searching get over to Black Forest. From my first e-mail to Jason Dale set the tone and he was back to me in seemingly minutes. Got my quote and dropped off my car for the work to be done. Done on time and exactly at the quote which was great. I had contacted 3 other shops by e-mail, none answered!! I guess their business is so good, they don't need more. If six stars was an option, I'd have put six. In short, if you have a euro vehicle they specialize in, this is the only place you should ever bring it. I've had them service both my 2001 Porsche Boxster and 2003 Audi A4 3.0 - and each time I get a thorough and detailed estimate, and the work is done quickly and professionally. You get to talk with Jason (the owner) each time and he truly knows these vehicles. He's honest, thorough, and lets you know everything his team is doing and why. And if he finds parts that are wearing out while he's in working on something else, he lets you know (and doesn't charge labor if the part was having to be removed anyway). Prices run about 1/3 of the dealer prices, and the work is flawless with a fully detailed invoice. There's no reason to take your euro car anywhere else. Great service. Went in for an oil leak and got an honest and reasonable estimate of when my car would be diagnosed. Oil leaks can be tricky, you never know if a seal is having an issue or if the issue is simple. Thankfully, there was only an aftermarket drain plug installed that was creating a slow leak from an old service shop (that I won't name). I'm glad that Black Forest was straightforward and solved the issue so easily, and that they were so honest. They use better than OEM parts of that's possible -- for instance on a brake pad replacement not only do they use the original equipment specified but an upgraded version with less dust output. I'm confident in their opinion given their interest in not just street cars but enhanced race cars too. These guys love European cars. They know what they're doing, and they're trustworthy. Will be taking all of our cars here for years to come. Can't recommend highly enough. read more

Only time will tell if this goes to a 5 star. Hit a huge hole in Buffalo whilst on work. Saw the two other reviews and decided to try them. I knew something was wrong with the parts of the rear suspension. Jason had it up and diagnosed and they had to go a bit deeper on some tests. Got a straight answer and good advice on the repair. You know these guys are doing it right when they just quote the Arnott right off the bat. The rear driver had totally gone, and the passenger rear probably would soon enuff. I had the two fronts redone driver 2 years ago and the pax 1 year ago. Anyway... that was the right advice and a good call by Jason. 16 year old S-500 - its heavy car and those parts to get 14-15 years from suspension parts. That is alot, so I knew that the other was at risk. And instead of thinking its an up charge - NO. To get the car up, the time, the labor, my time, the call is do both struts. The guy is a pro. He clearly has Mercedes experience, but way more important a certain love for the brand that goes a long way to wanting to always get it right. And here is the best part - I am NOT from Buffalo. I was there doing some sales and some training. The guy could have jerked me around. Overcharged me. Made bogus repair recs. NO. He saw that I was from out of town and actually made that a priority. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more
