They are truly service-oriented from the moment you reach out to them, and it starts with Dan. He's friendly, responsive and provides detailed estimates immediately for whatever work is needed. We have a 5-zone sprinkler system with a combination of drip lines and sprinklers in the front and backyard. It's a funky arrangement that needed a serious upgrade. His crew (Marvin and Jose) are miracle workers! They are real problem solvers who managed to reroute some existing sprinkler lines, fix several hidden leaks and provide more water coverage in several zones. Marvin and Jose are a joy to watch. They really enjoy their work and it shows. Marvin will even sing while he's putting in new drip lines or tying off others, and nothing seems to faze him. Both men are polite, courteous and appreciative of drinks and snacks while they work. They say "Thank you, so much" every time. After spending the entire day at our home, we tested the system and everything worked well, but there were a few dry spots I noticed the next day. Dan came by today to collect payment and I showed him the areas where water wasn't quite reaching and he said, "No problem." Marvin and Jose will come back to make a few adjustments -- at no extra charge. Best of all, the new parts they install are guaranteed for 5 years instead of one. Who does that? All in all, this was a terrific experience and I wish I had hired this company 13 years ago when we landscaped our yard. I'm so impressed with them and you will be, too.

I'll say I didn't realize how good the yard could look until after they did the cleanup. Was thoroughly impressed with the work and results. Last winter, I had thought we had a leak, however, when we turned the sprinklers back on for the summer, it didn't seem like there was really a leak. Well, there was! I turned off the sprinklers last night and the water was still pooling today, and it looked like it had a steady source of water. I wasn't sure if it was an actual emergency, however, I figured I should reach out to someone in case we needed to turn the water off (especially since it looked like the leak detector was moving on the water meter). I contacted Emma on Nextdoor and Angie's List and she reached out right away. Brian came over within 45 minutes. It wasn't a true emergency, however, he stayed to fix the entire situation while he was there. While working on replacing the valve, he also fixed some wiring that a previous sprinkler company had messed up, and he adjusted a few settings with our sprinklers. We probably interrupted Brian's day-off at home for something that wasn't a true emergency, however, he spent almost an hour with us helping out. I asked him random other questions about the lawn, a random wire against my house, and other things and he was so helpful. He had so much great advice that you could tell is based off of years of experience. This local company truly made my day and I know I will be reaching out to them in the future for backflow testing, sprinkler maintenance, sprinkler upgrades and repairs, and even some plant-related work! I did quite a bit of research and had five different contractors come out to provide estimates. The pricing was all over the place, but NW Quality Construction & Hardscape immediately stood out. Jesus was able to come out within an hour to take a look at the project, and he gave me a rough estimate on the spot that ended up being within a few hundred dollars of the final proposal. That gave me a lot of confidence because it showed he understood the market, knew his craft, and came prepared. Once the project started, their attention to detail really impressed me. Before any work began, they carefully marked everything out and double-checked with me to make sure it matched the plan exactly. Throughout the project, they kept the worksite clean and organized. Since they were using the driveway and part of the street to stage rocks and mulch, they made a point to sweep everything up at the end of each day before heading home. Now that the backyard is finally finished, it honestly feels like we just moved into the house again. I realized I needed help after several hours in the hot sun. After getting bids from three other gardening providers on Yelp, I ended up choosing Joseph. And am I glad I did! He came out and after walking through my overgrown pollinator garden, he gave me a quote which was pretty much consistent with the others. Big difference? He communicates well, he is ethical, he shows up on time, works hard, cleans up afterward. He is also a nice man who cares about the quality of what he does. Joseph is knowledgeable about many plants and trees. To his credit, when he encountered one he wasn't familiar with, he set about educating himself so he would do things right. He pruned my Mock Orange, Oregon Grapes, my Japanese Maple, a wildly out of control espaliered Apple tree, thinned out some fading seasonals, and pulled up a dying azalea I'd tried, but failed, to bring back. Then pulled out the overgrown weeds from my curb and sidewalk to make it all look more tidy. I'll be calling Joseph again, absolutely. You should, too.
