I had a HORRIBLE experience with Swim and Tri. It was a terrible disappointment. I wish I could attach images. The claim is that I approved the "Proof". What I approved was the original mockup and that was the only image I saw. The final product is a complete mismatch and is an embarrassing gift that I was excited about. My multiple emails, beginning with initial interest, repeatedly stated SEA RANCH. They sent SEARANCH. BE CAREFUL if you're working with KATIE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND They refused to take accountability for the bait and switch, which is incredibly frustrating. Additionally, a delay in delivery was not aligned to the commitment made by the person I worked with. DO NOT RECOMMEND Their own lack of internal communication is what I attribute the failure to. This is from the person that sent me the mock up that shows the customization as two separate words. "Firstly, please let me apologize for the delay in your order. We do work incredibly hard to ensure that orders are shipped within 2 weeks of purchase. We did experience a delay with the custom twill for the back of the parka and unfortunately, this was just communicated with me when I inquired about your parka. Unless you want to receive a custom printed swimsuit in the wrong colors and then be gas-lit when you try to get it resolved, don't order from this company!! I ordered 2 swimsuits (because boys grow fast at 14) with school logo and one came printed in the correct colors and the second had a green hue. It took 3 weeks to receive the items and called right away. I had to keep calling and sending emails to get a response. Then they claimed it was a result of the fabric and not their fault. That is an absolute lie because after 2.5 months of back and forth emailing, and sending the item back, they were able to produce it in the correct colors on the exact same suit. But guess what, they didn't contact me with this as a solution, just did it, and guess what, the boy has grown in 4 months since September and can't wear it. It is despicable the way they run their business and take no ownership of their mistake. They could have saved themselves from this bad review had they admitted the item was printed in the wrong colors back in September. Buyer beware!! read more

Ran in to get my son a Speedo Teamster 2.0 bag this afternoon but as cashier swiped by card I realized I just paid $25 more than Amazon. The owner rudely told me all sales are final - see the sign. The woman helping me told her I was not rung up there and didn't see the sign. I was rudely dismissed and waited 10 minutes for her to come back up front to talk with me. First thing she said was "my answer won't change"! I politely told I did not want to return the bag but she needed to know how belittling and dismissive she was to a customer. Instead of an apology I was treated to a 5 minute attack by her telling me I belittled her and her staff by saying Amazon. And she was so tried of people talking about Amazon and their prices. I was polite and said I appreciate small businesses but her treatment was terrible to a customer. I stood in shock as she turned and walked away. When the employees look embarrassed by the way their boss treats a customer something is wrong. Just know their bags are marked up and don't say Amazon while you are in the store. read more

Horrible customer service. I'm not sure I have dealt with a company more incompetent. I placed an order with them and they assured me that they had everything in stock. Got proofs from them and gave them sizes. Weeks go by and not a peep from them. I sent 4-5 emails and left 3-4 voicemails over a two week period and no one got back to me. I was finally able to get a hold of the person I was working with and they said they tried contacting me but had the wrong email address. Which is complete BS because we had been communicating for weeks and send multiple emails back and forth. The order never got placed, they never let me know, didn't return my emails and phone calls for weeks, and now my swim team doesn't have their warm ups for our first meet. read more

I'm always hesitant to place orders online from businesses that don't have any reviews yet because you never who is legit and you want to support stores that treat customers right. Plus it's hard to break out of the habit of ordering from amazon, but my loyalty to amazon has waned in the past year for various reasons. So I've been looking to branch out and go out on a limb. I've been looking for a men's Speedo Aquablade brief and found Swim and Tri to have the best price: $34. I thought, "There must be a catch, right? They'll probably make up the difference in their shipping charges." Afterall, a lot of online retailers have a minimum shipping charge of $5 and even one online site charged $15 as the cheapest option of sending just one Speedo! Insane. But Swim and Tri has a multitude of shipping options (14!) ranging from $1.90 for US Postal First Class Flat to $92.88 for UPS Next Day Air Early AM. Talk about selection! I wasn't in any hurry so I went for the cheapest delivery option and expected to get it in a week since I live in San Francisco, CA and Swim and Tri is in Knoxville, TN. After placing my order, I received an email confirmation of my order. Shortly after that email, I received another one... saying it was shipped! So from the time I pressed "Submit Order" to when it was shipped, it was probably 20 minutes, tops! Talk about speedy service. That was last Thursday 9/6 and guess when I received my Speedo? Two days later! Let me get this right... I paid $1.90 to have a swim brief sent from Knoxville to San Francisco in two days? Unbelievable. Swim and Tri may not have the best designed website out there, but it's functional and reliable. Overall, I was impressed with their speedy customer service, wide selection of sizes and colors in stock, and shipping options. For exchanges, you would have to pay for shipping both ways and they have a 15% restocking fee if you return select items. Fortunately, my Speedo fits perfectly. Amazon still has the best, easiest, and most generous return/exchange policy, but if you really know your size and what you want, I'd recommend you give Swim and Tri a try! ;-) read more

I am disappointed to have to write this review as I have used this retailer for online orders for over three years with no problem. I called to ask about an order that was made two and a half weeks ago. Patrice stated that she had made an error in ordering from her supplier and the items still had not shipped. When I informed her that this was the third time I have called on this order and that apologies were not what I needed, she started screaming at me using expletives... I told her what I needed was shipment verification or notification that they were unable to fill my order so I could order elsewhere. She then said she would just cancel my order and hung up on me. This business is in trouble if this is how the owner deals with customers. :( read more

2 absolutely awful experiences with Swim & Tri. Unfortunately, my daughter's swim team's suits needed to be purchased through them. For my first order I paid for express 2 day shipping. Nowhere on the website or the order confirmation did it note the suit was not in stock and it would be shipped 2 days after they got the suit from the supplier. The order arrived more than a week later. I tried to reach by phone several times to get a shipping charge credit, but no answer. I e-mailed, and it took them 2 WEEKS to respond!! Ultimately, they gave me a slight credit on my shipping but not the full amount- I still paid quite a bit more than standard shipping to get something shipped in standard shipping time. (Note - I only live about 6 hours away) Meanwhile, the suit that arrived seemed to fit smaller than the sample I tried on (not saying this is S&T's fault) so I ordered a second suit. 9 days later, I still hadn't received a shipping notification. I just called to check. The customer service reps weren't exactly rude but they were NOT polite or helpful. They were indifferent and only offered excuses: They were having problems with the supplier, they didn't have the suit in stock, they got some in the day before but not the one I ordered, they don't make that one anymore, etc. I don't doubt that they had a supplier issue, but Swim & Tri apparently knew of this issue when I ordered. Nothing was noted on the order page or in the confirmation e-mail. No e-mail updates on status or discontinuation of my suit were provided. If I hadn't called - would I have ever known the suite wasn't coming? They did have our teams suit with different straps in the size I needed. I said great and asked them to send it overnight at their expense since it was their delay. They refused as it being against policy and again cited the supplier issues. I told them it's their supplier so the supplier's issue is their issue - they need to do what it takes to timely fill their customer's orders- and communicate in doing so. The rep agreed with me and gave a laundry lists of things she wished they did better. Swim & tri should listen to her. I cancelled my order - let's see how that goes! I will certainly ask my daughter's large swim team to use a different company next year. If you don't have to order from them - don't. If you do- stay on top of them and don't expect much. read more

Swim and Tri provides customer service that is often absent from many online retailers. My son is new to swimming and we were not certain the cut of the swimsuit that would be best for his size. I called and spoke with Swim and Tri and they were able to help me find the best suit for my son. I ordered the suit and it fit my son perfectly. A few weeks later my daughter was in need of a swimsuit and we had found several on Swim and Tri's website, but wanted to make sure the swimsuits would work best. So, I called Swim and Tri and they provided the same excellent customer service as before. My overall experience with Swim and Tri was excellent and I have been happy to support a small business and not the big box store. Excellent company with wonderful customer service. A man named Paul spoke to my mother, sister and I in a very condescending tone and talked down to us. We were not difficult and we understood that he does not own arena so he could not take care of our defect, but when he was mansplaining to us, it was extremely rude and condescending. On June 11th, 2015 I ordered 3 Speedo LZR Elite technical suits for my daughter. The three suits arrived unboxed, in baggies. I called to inquire and spoke to the owner, who was very rude. He told me that the boxes were crushed moving the suits from meet to meet, My concern was that the suits were not new (tech suit can only be worn for one meet due to how much it stretches out after putting on the first time). I took his word for it, foolishly believing all was well. My daughter wore the first two suits without issue. At New England Senior Championships she went to put on the third and realized the suit was not the same as the others. The material and the cut was different from the LZR Elite suit she had worn on numerous occasions. She immediately took it off and ended up wearing an old tech suit as a back up. When we returned home from the meet, I called Swim and Tri. The woman I spoke with incredibly rude and refused to help. She told me the returned period had passed and they would not do anything to help me. Over and over I explained the situation. I told her that I was not looking for my money back, just another LZR Elite. She said it was on clearance and claimed they had no others in my daughters size. I told her that according to the web site they did. She said it did not matter, and refused to exchange it. I begged her to help me, to no avail. As a result, I am out the $185 and have a suit that will never be used. My suggestion is to be VERY careful with this company. They are deceitful and as far as I am concerned, they are thieves. read more

Please heed the advice in this review. My 17 year old daughter ordered a bag from this company and it came to her with a rip in it. It was also custom embroidered. My daughter didn't like the embroidery and there was a rip in the mesh part of the bag and when she sent an email to Patrice asking that the bag be replaced because of the defect Patrice attacked my daughters integrity by saying how much of a coincidence it was that a hole "appeared" in the bag when she wasn't happy with the embroidery. While I do understand that custom orders cannot be returned, this was a case of a defective item. When I contacted Patrice to discuss the accusations she made as well as how she was going to handle the defective bag she said and I quote " I'm not going to do a goddam thing because that bag didn't leave here with a hole" I said to her "so now I'm also a liar?" I can't repeat what she said in this forum, I can't tell you what kind of names we were called, she shouted at the top of her lungs at me and then hung up on me. I did remain calm as I feel you can't get honey with vinegar so I politely stated that now I understood why the reviews were poor on this forum and on others and that I should've checked that first before letting my daughter order from her company and Patrice said "yes you should've because then I wouldn't have to deal with an idiot like you." My daughter works part time after school earning $10/hr and works 6.5 hours per week and this swim bag cost her $134CDN and its ripped. I'm taking it to a local embroidery company today to see if we can't get the mesh repaired and the embroidery covered up. A cost I will cover. The sad thing about this whole experience is that my daughter cried so hard because Patrice attacked her integrity by calling her a liar about the tear in the mesh. Patrice did acknowledge in the beginning of an exchange in emails that the bag could be repaired and she would cover the cost. Since I have called Patrice and asked her how she could treat someone like she did I have no recourse now as she has rescinded that offer. Here is the final email from her to my daughter...... "Unfortunately, I gave you our best offer. It seems to me that your more upset about your selection of embroidery, which you selected and the font you selected was pictured on our website. You selected curlz embroidery and a sample of curlz embroidery was on our website. Then, ironically, later you "discovered" a hole in the mesh part of the bag, which did not exist when we shipped you the bag, as each item is inspected prior to embroidery and shipment to customers. Thus, I believe we are being more than fair to compensate you at all. The bag is discontinued as stated previously; there was no hole when it left our store, and a hole "appeared" after your further inspection because of your dissatisfaction with your selection of embroidery. I would recommend that you do not buy gift cards if you're shopping over the internet. They will not honor their free shipping statement on the top of their website, stock is not available as listed, and then manager Patrice calls you "mean" when you complain about having to change your order to accommodate their website errors. Further, even though they didn't activate the gift card correctly, it wouldn't register in their system & I had to have 3 conversations with them to place my order...I was the problem for being irritated that despite my items being full price they would not honor their "free shipping" statement on the website. This company is a scam! I have had TWO instances with them. One, they overcharged me for an item and would not refund me (their error)! The second issue came when trying to use the store credit...the free shipping is not valid, despite receiving an invoice with free shipping. Again, their error and I have to pay $11 for it. Purchased wetsuit and one week later no shipping update. Called store and very rude woman said item was discontinued. I asked why the website did not reflect this she said "we are a small business and can't pay someone $80000/year to keep website up to date." Then you don't need to have a site. I told her I would never buy from them again and she said ok and hung up. This seems to be a recurring problem (see older posts). Do yourself a favor and buy from swimoutlet or trisports like I did and will continue to do. Swim and Tri was one of two online retailers that still had stock of the discontinued Speedo Small Pro backpack. I wanted this particular bag for my four year old daughter. I am always reluctant to try new online retailers, but I gave Swim and Tri a shot. They did not disappoint. I ordered the bag in pink, and the next day they sent me an email apologizing that they no longer had the pink in stock and weren't sure why the website still showed that they did. No problem...I like the size of the bag so much that I decided to order the yellow. The website was immediately updated to reflect that the bag was only available in yellow and black (my guess is that this particular bag is ordered so infrequently that it was just an oversight...no biggie). They emailed me when the bag shipped, and I received the bag quickly. Thank you!! This bag is absolutely perfect for my little one, and now she can carry her swim bag and be like her idol - her competition swimmer big sister. Can't wait to give it to her for Christmas!
