The pool is murky and questionable, the bathrooms are dirty, and overall cleanliness has clearly declined- a serious concern for a facility working with children. Management is nearly impossible to reach by phone, and communication is handled almost entirely by text. Jessica, in particular, has been rude and dismissive, providing misleading information instead of real solutions. Long-term staff are leaving at an alarming rate, which raises serious concerns about the new management. The staff is now mostly new and inexperienced. My children went from structured, effective lessons to watching instructors who don't seem to know what they're doing. At this point, I could teach the lesson myself just from observing. After over a year here, it's sad and concerning to see what was once a trusted, high-quality program turn into a poorly managed operation. Parents should be aware before enrolling.

I didn't need to get in the pool. Rich was an excellent coach. He had unending patience with my child (can I borrow some of that?!) and by the end of the swim lesson she had made a lot of progress. She trusted him quickly and laughed a lot. When we left she said 'I loved it!' Can't wait to go back. Shower facilities were excellent. They have a machine that fast dries your swim suit. We are obviously not competitive swimmers, but the technology available there is impressive. Even as an outsider, I can understand the benefits of having video monitors to replay your stroke and compare it to that of other swimmers while your coach talks you through it. I don't know of any other swim facilities like this in Montgomery County, MD.

The Aqua tots class has made her feel comfortable about the pool and helped her submerge into the water naturally. I highly recommend Coach Kya. She took the time to explain the steps and what the parent needs to do in each move in order for the child to complete the desired action. We had other coaches before her and we found ourselves confused and we just followed what other parents were doing in each move. Coach Kya was the first one to tell us we were doing it wrong and patiently guided us to execute the steps correctly. The facility is new and clean. There are changing rooms, family restrooms with showers. They also have lollipops and stickers at the front desk for the students which is a nice touch. They are tech friendly, you can download the app and schedule make up classes easily. They also track the students' progress in the app, including the moves they learnt each class and the coach's feedback on when the student can move to the next level. Price is comparable to other big swimming chains such as Goldfish, Big Blue. Class ratio is 1:4 but if you get lucky, you can get 1:1 when other students cancel the group class. Will recommend!

Country Glen has a swim team with 200+ kids ranging from ages 4 to 18, they can fit up to 8 lanes for swimming meets. They also have a dive team with 45+ people ranging from the same ages as swim team.

One section is good for kids and the second section is good for swimming and doing laps. The third section is for diving. They also have a grilling area with picnic tables and a kids play area. They host regular happy hours with food and drinks. They also have tennis courts next to the pool. The ONLY negative are the restrooms and showers. There need a serious upgrade! He started getting lessons from the teenagers (who always have adult supervision) with his two older sisters. Eventually he and his sisters became the teenagers giving lessons. It was rewarding experience for allmof them. I have watched over the past 13 years parents leaving for RMSC or NCAP and my son never wanted to go. He very much enjoys the flexible practice schedule and is swimming better than he ever has. We have no regrets and cannot thank Joe and his staff enough. I really don't understand these 1 star reviews and I would ignore them and give JFD a try.

New students get a goldfish bag and t-shirt for free. The tshirt, i use for what my kid changes into after class and the bag if to keep all my kids swim stuff. They have plenty of individual changing rooms so you aren't in a bathroom changing with everyone and their mom. The changing rooms are clean, spacious, has a bench, hooks and a lock. They have individual family bathrooms. They have showers in the pool area to rinse off after class. They have mirrors and hair dryers. They have a spacious waiting area with enough seats. They have cubbies, a fish tank, a play area/book nook/photo booth and coloring pages for kids waiting, and sell swim supplies. The location is always clean, staff super friendly and helpful, and when you call you can reach a person. As far as the classes, the teachers are super great and informative about progress. They give you skill updates after every class. I've seen my kid progress in a month. They are kind and friendly to the kids and I haven't noticed as much turn over as thr other locations. Making up a missed class is made easy in comparison to other locations. My favorite part... they have an app!! Everything about your kids progress, class, the location and even payments is found in the app. It makes it soooo easy. Super user friendly. I'm very happy with this swim school and will definitely keep my kid here.

Each lane had about 3-4 students assigned and they take turns doing laps. At the end of practice, the instructor provides feedback to the child's chaperone. The school has thought of everything. They have a communal shower to rinse off by the pool, changing rooms, blow dryer station, seating area and reading material for adults, and merchandise for sale.
