I wish I had found Lori SO MUCH sooner. Our kids are 8,6&3.5 and all were not able to swim. Lori is…read moreso incredible with each one of them. She makes everything into a game & the kids are having so much fun when it's their turn. She is so incredible with the kids - she is fun & silly & also challenges them the perfect amount. They can't wait to come back & my 3.5 year old cries when we leave. As someone with a background in education, I can tell how much skill & experience she has (she has 50 yrs of teaching experience) in everything she does with them that looks so natural but she's doing everything for a specific reason to get them closer to being proficient swimmers. We had previously only done a local ISR 2 week class with our oldest when they were very little but it was very traumatic for me & I didn't want to go back. I'm so thankful they can learn now in such a fun & effective way! I'm telling all my friends -- run don't walk to these swim lessons!!

I had been looking for a one-on-one lesson. Kilmers Swim Time, taught by Lori Kilmer sounded just like what I had been searching for. I called her and booked lesson throughout the next 2.5 months to start. My son, who's about to turn 4 yr old has had 5, 30 minute swim lessons now. He started off shy and quiet. Not sure of this new place and person. But with each lesson he has opened up more and learned SO much! Lori has toys on the side of the pool she uses to keep the kids interested and focused in their lesson. She's so good with kids! Her style of teaching has my easily distracted kiddo focused and engaged the WHOLE lesson. It's impressive! Having my son, who is comfortable in water, but did not know how to swim, have one-on-one lessons is so much less stressful. With group lessons with a different company last year I was so paranoid of him going under the water and no one noticing, since they'd be working with a different kid and have their back to the kids who were waiting for their turn. I highly recommend you talk to Lori and give Kilmer's Swim Time a chance! She's very knowledgeable and has decades of experience!

Unfortunately, we have noticed that staff members, including one of our favorite instructors have left and are planning on leaving their employment at this location. I have learned that this is not because of the job itself, but because of the conduct and behavior of the owner whom I shall refer to as "B" "B" does not seem to value his staff in the way we, the customers, do. It is my understanding that he is often rude, dismissive, abrupt, and insensitive to staff. I have also learned that there is hardly a staff member at the school that has not been brought to tears by the words of 'B" I have personally observed some of his interactions with staff, and was horrified that they would be spoken to in the manner that he did. This type of business relies on their staff, specifically their teachers. Without them, there is no business. I am quite concerned that there will be a continued turnover, which will have a direct negative impact on the students at the school, including my son. I know that this is a family owned and operated business. I have great respect for the Callan family. Unfortunately "B" is risking their good reputation, and I truly hope someone in the family business can step in and change the course such that the staff be treated as they deserve. I know that many families, mine included, will follow our child's instructor if they should leave this location. This 5 star rating is only because of the employees.

Just six months later, she's swimming unassisted across the pool. It's been truly remarkable to watch her progress, and her instructor, Miss Isabella, has made every lesson fun, encouraging, and safe from day one. The lessons are short, which seems typical for this age group, but if you stay consistent, the progress happens quickly. The staff is also very open to feedback and always responsive whenever we've had questions or concerns about a lesson. Going into this summer, I feel confident she'll be able to swim independently, and I'm so grateful she's developed a genuine love for the water.

We cannot recommend Coach Dave from Shark Swim Lessons enough!…read more When my son first started, he had very little swimming experience. In just 8 sessions, Coach Dave helped him learn the foundations of swimming with so much patience, encouragement, and professionalism. We continued lessons with him, and 6 months later Archer is now like a little fish in the water What really stands out is Coach Dave's dedication and ability to connect with kids. He makes lessons fun while still building strong technique, confidence, and water safety skills. You can genuinely tell he cares about every child's progress.

I could do fine in water - could easily swim, as in not die when thrown in deep water. But I wanted to learn to swim laps/distance for triathlons and exercise and just could not figure it out. And I just could not find the right swim instructor or class for this. There's brand-new-to-water classes that teach you not to die in the water. And then there are classes that teach you to improve your technique in certain strokes. I was stuck in the middle - just could not figure out how to do the freestyle breathing right to even start swimming laps. I tried a couple different instructors, both of whom were probably good college swimmers, and they just had no real insight or experience with struggling to breathe. Enter Dave. In one session, he'd taught me 3x as much as multiple sessions with previous instructors and solo practice had taken me. By session 2, was up to being able to at least swim some short back-and-forths. Things got easier each session, and I left the initial package of lessons I bought feeling comfortable in the pool. Have since made a lot of progress, including some long open-water swims in the ocean. All thanks to Dave's great instruction.

Our experience with this organization has been among the worst we have had with any business in…read moremore than ten years. The fundamental problem is that homeowners are required to pay dues whether or not they are permitted to use the facilities. Although the young reception staff have generally been friendly, our interactions with the administrative office have often felt dismissive, inflexible, and unnecessarily rude. Even the entrance, with its locked metal gates and restrictive atmosphere, feels unwelcoming for what is supposed to be a neighborhood recreational facility. For more than a year, I have tried to resolve a dispute involving outstanding dues for invoices and notices I did not receive. Because we were not using the facility, I had no reason to know that charges were continuing to accumulate. Once I became aware of the issue, I proposed a reasonable solution: allow me to begin paying the current dues while we worked out a fair arrangement for the disputed past balance. Instead of treating this as a genuine effort to resolve the matter, the office responded with a rigid, collection-focused attitude and refused to consider a practical compromise. We were expected to pay everything immediately while still being denied access to the facilities. A community association should make a reasonable effort to communicate with homeowners, provide clear and timely notices, and work constructively with residents who are actively trying to resolve a dispute. It should not use mandatory dues and denial of access as leverage while refusing to discuss a fair payment arrangement. We were not asking to avoid our responsibilities. We were asking for transparency, basic courtesy, and a reasonable path toward resolution. Unfortunately, our experience has reflected none of those things.
