If you can pass a swim test and are 48" tall, there is a great water slide that is a part of the couple of bucks you'll spend on admission and you have access to the diving board. I love that they open nearly the entire pool to open swim when it's open swim time, so you don't have to deal with lanes. The staff are always so nice and they do a good job of being consistent with their rules.

An update is long overdue...and it's 3 stars. Before Premier Aquatics, there were plenty of chairs and lounge chairs in the shade, the pool was open during the summer 7 days a week, 12-5, and every Friday night was 'Family Nights' from 6-8. The lifeguards brought out a huge obstacle course and all the kids loved it. Not anymore. The pool is open less hours for recreational swim. M-Th 12-3. F-Su 12-5. There are way less chairs, and no more 'Family Nights'. It's pretty obvious why the rec hours are limited...Premier Aquatics makes more money off swim lessons than they do with recreational swim. They offer more pool passes at different price points, but none of them are through the City of San Marcos. You're buying it straight through Premier Aquatics. My kids still enjoy it, but....meh. 3 stars.

Overall: If you're going to come to the Murrieta hot springs with someone, my best recommendation…read moreis to book a room and stay overnight. This allows for access to more pools/ spas , complementary bathrobe during stay, and the best "bang for your buck" when it comes to cost-for-use (day pass price and spa availability vs. hotel guest price and spa availability). I would give 5 stars for the staff, namely Katie and Anthony at the front desk. They were exceptionally helpful. Katie, in particular, genuinely enjoys working here and did everything in her power to ensure my party had the best stay. I would give 1.5- 2 stars for the lack of a code of conduct or the enforcement thereof. There were so many couples who struggled with keeping their "physical passion for one another" to themselves. Many different couples were spanking each other LOUDLY in various areas of the resort. There were some couples who were getting a little too comfortable with one another in different soaking tubs, some who were getting "handsy" at the clay cove, and some who were just doing questionable behavior regardless where they were. I am a young adult and I've been around couples who have had public passion for each other- like making out at amusement parks- you know, the usual. BUT this behavior was on another level; this was out of the bounds of public decency. On the note of public decency, there were a few guests whose swimwear exposed more than it covered (if you're picking up what I'm throwing down). There was, also, one man in particular who was smoking/ taking a fat rip of his vape in front of CHILDREN. All that being said, I could NOT, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone accompanied by very young humans as a child-friendly/ family- friendly resort. Aside from those concerns, everything else met my standards. Hotel room (Stone Lodge) was clean. Towels were stocked at the pools. The temperatures were good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would not return as a day pass user (since my party and I are not locals), BUT we would come back as hotel guests.

Full size fridge with freezer though lacking ice cube trays. They provided charcoal and fire wood which I did not expect and was a nice surprise. Very quite and peaceful while we were there (Wednesday-Thursday). The community room was retro decorated and the bathrooms were very clean. My only complaint about the pool was the temp of the water. It did not seem heated even though they advertised as a heated pool.

We stayed in September and it definitely was very hot. I wish that all of the trailers had AC. I was disappointed to learn that the trailers don't lock from the outside. They tell you to keep your valuables in your car. A. This is inconvenient, B. I am not sure if the spartan locked from the inside either. I feel like the locks are something that they should definitely invest in fixing. The spartan also has a very small water heater. I think that they told us 2 gallons when we called. I couldn't even get through a shower without it running out. We called because we thought maybe it could be fixed but they let us know the water heater is small but they have public showers available. Since it was hot I toughed it out. My brother stayed in the mansion and it had a bad smell in it. It bothered his girlfriend a lot. They did have AC and their hot water was fine. Their trailer also did not lock from the outside. The trailers are cute, and we liked the vintage decor but they need some work done. I feel like their trailers have a lot of potential if they would just invest in them a bit. My husband and I stayed at another location that had vintage trailers. They were definitely nicer. AC, hot water, new linoleum, locks and keys, and did not have a bad smell. I hope that pinecrest can improve their vintage trailers. I think that if they improved them they would have a lot more return business.
