My review seems 'old' now so I thought I would update saying everything still rings true today. Now my oldest has graduated from Level 5, and is considered to be water safe by their standards, and my son is in lessons! We still love the staff. Still love the facility. LOVEEEE the policies. Actually, now I love them more since my daughter is older and is in more activities, I appreciate Swimhaus WAY MORE, and see red when every other place says that an 'annual fee' is just standard practice, and necessary. So, that to say, THANK YOU for not being annoying, and actually putting families first. it does not go unnoticed. I love swimhaus, my son, 6 years old, started in August he didnt know to do nothing and now he knows to float and swimming. He passed the level in a month or month in a half but we never lost any lesson and the instructor is so nice, patient and kind with the kids. I'm so happy to see how much my son learn in short time and how he enjoys every lesson. The environment is nice, with music, clean and they have a book stand for kids to bring home read it and return, my son likes to take one every time to practice reading at home, they have a little surprise for the birthdays days, a bucket with lolipops and a treasure box when the kids pass the level. Hey hey! I recommend this swim school to all my mama friends! No hidden shady costs or contracts, you pay by the month and you can do makeup classes if your kid misses a class. I chose Swimhaus bc it was fairy new, super clean and the instructors wore masks. A must since it was late 2020 when my kids started there and roro was still on the rampage. Good seating area to watch your kids, private changing rooms, open changing area if the private rooms are full, blow dryers and bathrooms. I also liked how friendly the teachers, Sammy and staff are. My now 7 year old took lessons for the first time in San Diego when he was 3 and was traumatized bc they dunked his head under water right away. Swimhaus won't do that. They have their own techniques but they won't force your child to do anything they don't want to. The instructors are very supportive. So I enrolled my son when he was 5 and he did great. As one of those moms who struggles to let the first little one go, Swim Haus was tremendously helpful and encouraging to both my daughter and I while she went here. Her instructor was so patient with her as she was really scared even though she loves to swim at home. They provided helpful tips for both my children in how to practice at home without a pool and I even got to sit with the owner our first day and chat with him about why he started the company. ( I'm a sucker for a small family business) I give four stars only because there was a disconnect with my little one socially and we couldn't overcome it and I chose to pull her from classes. If it were just for the staff, facilities, and lesson, I'd give this place 5 stars! We did a free trial lesson today, and Sam was so helpful and kind, and Abby was an awesome instructor for the infants. Loved the lesson! The facilities were beautiful, clean, and well done. The pool was heated to keep the kids comfortable. The systems in place were very organized, and the staff was so friendly and willing to help and show us around as it was our first day! The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is for the discomfort I felt with the atmosphere: as one of the only solo moms there (my husband works during the day and couldn't attend our lesson time) and with most other patrons being couples there to watch their kiddos swim, I definitely felt out of place and like other people were giving me a funny, if not unfriendly, look, enough for me to feel a bit uncomfortable. I didn't feel like it was a place I could go and be friendly and comfortable with other parents as our kids are learning swim skills together; I felt like I was being looked at as the odd one out! Maybe just my experience ‍ Not Swimhaus's fault, I get it. I found this place by taking a delivery here one day back when I worked for jimmy johns. I took a brochure and signed my child up! She is learning how to swim so fast, the staff is very personable and friendly. This place was rated best in the valley in 2020 and 2021 by phoenix magazine! The owner takes pride on how clean the air and air cleaning system is in the building, I remember them telling me that when I toured. They have a family changing area so you don't have to go into a bathroom to change your child back into clothes from swimwear after classes. They offer showers to rinse off when you're done, and blow dryers for wet hair!( and feet, haha, my daughter likes her feet blown because the heat is warm. The family changing area is really helpful if you come with both parents or have multiple children. They offer a few makeup classes if you miss and don't call ahead but they also let you reschedule any class you can't make in as long as you give a 5 minute + notice. It's very helpful. Love it here. Since covid my family and I rarely leave the house but we felt that it was important to have our little one have some type of socialization and learn something too. We were recommended to go to Swimhaus by a friend and are very thankful for it. All the staff has been great! With all our worries about covid I really feel good here since I see that they do a great job with cleaning and sanitizing. I see them cleaning all the waiting and changing rooms asap. All the staff and customers wear their masks too. My husband and I had a couple minor concerns and switched some classes around thanks to the help of the owner. Can't say enough amazing things about SwimHaus. I wish they would have been here for my older 2, but we lucked out for our last one! They really helped build her confidence in the pool. SwimHaus is amazing. My 2 boys have been at SwimHaus for almost 2 years and they love it. The teachers know them by name even many staff who haven't taught them. The staff is so patient with my high energy 4 year old who is more of a "do now, think later" kind of kid (hence the push on water safety for him). I love how they push him to do the right thing while also remaining kind and patient. My older son (almost 8) has progressed to level 6 and works so hard. He enjoys what he's learning and works really hard to learn new skills. He adores his swim teachers. The facility is clean. The large changing rooms are so nice when we all need to fit in and get the boys dried up and changed. Of course, My kids look forward to the sucker after classes. lol! I forgot to mention that my youngest cried his entire first lesson and a second instructor came and comforted him between his turns for the entire lesson. It's great to go to when it's not summer time. You're treated as another number when they are busy. The instructor, Charlie was fantastic and professional. My child was always safe with her. We were forced to cancel because they were too busy to schedule make up classes. We have been coming here since January and never had to call out. Let them know a week before we went on vacation and they can only schedule make ups 4 days out. They can only get you in for a make up class if someone else cancels and that's if you call them. They do not assist in getting the make up rescheduled if there is a cancellation. Due to the busy summer schedules, it feels impossible to get in for a make up around your same normal time slot and you are out that prepaid session. Def would come back if the system changed. read more

Disappointed. I paid for 4 classes and we only used 3 because we went on vacation. I gave a courtesy call to let them know my son could not attend for the 4th session, and they assured me I could use the last session when we came back because they "never expire." Coming back from vacation I called to schedule the 4th class, and I was told I had to pay an ADDITIONAL month in order to use the class I already paid for. Why can I not use what I already paid for?? My two year old went in for a trial. First, the children need a swim diaper a non disposable diaper just in case. Which is great to know there is a far less chance of accidents. The facility walking in doesn't smell like chlorine, which was a good sign to me! The have really accommodating locker rooms for all age. There is a little play area for littles to stay entertained while they wait. The class was a semi private with one instructor and two children. Abby was the instructor and she was so good with the kids!!! We are definitely going back. The pricing for semi private is hard to even compete with combine with the facility and the amazing instructor. It's a no brained. read more
