Having worked with her for about three months, I am able to get in the water and feel comfortable swimming. By no means am I a professional just yet, seeing that I could only work with her for about three months because I am currently experiencing a challenging pregnancy and have had to postpone my lessons until after I deliver, but I am confident her skills, patience, and instruction will eventually get me there once I continue on with my lessons post-delivery. Overall I would highly recommend Nancy to anybody because of her experience and expertise. She is the only person I trust. My son has been taking swimming lessons with her as well, and is able to dive right into a pool and swim without any hesitation. He loves swimming!

Nancy aka "Miss Mermaid" has been helping train our daughter in competitive swimming for the past…read moreseveral years. Her speed and technique are improving in every stroke with every lesson, and we're seeing the results in her times at meets. She evaluates at each lesson, then focuses on what she sees as an area for improvement which can improve time and/or efficiency. She's also very good about making recommendations for cardio and resistance training exercises, and which muscle groups on which to focus effort, in order to directly benefit swimming, and which local swim teams could be a good fit for further improvement. If your child/pre-teen/teen, or you as a competitive adult in Ironman or other training, want a top-class, no-nonsense instructor with the experience and active involvement in the sports, you need look no further. She will be straight forward with your swimmer on what they need to do to improve, but doesn't push it past the point of being "over the top" like some of the instructors we tried tend to do. She knows how to be tough, and nice about it. She's inspirational rather than threatening. We did try the rest, and have been very fortunate to find Nancy.

We tried multiple times to register for swim lessons and had an incredibly frustrating experience…read more After calling three times, I finally spoke with the director, John, who admitted the pre-registration links on their newly redesigned website are broken and that this was a known issue. Unfortunately, the staff I spoke with prior to John were dismissive and unhelpful, simply directing me back to a website that doesn't work. It's discouraging to see so many positive reviews when new customers are unable to register at all. If you collect contact information and even credit card details but have no functional way to complete registration, it undermines trust and credibility. A business that cannot prioritize basic customer service and onboarding--especially when parents are trying to ensure safety and instruction for their children--misses the mark entirely. Very disappointing

Both of our boys are on the spectrum, and while my younger son was having some difficulty focusing in the water (which is to be expected given how much he loves it), the instructor's reaction was completely inappropriate. During the last session, the instructor was visibly upset--rolling his eyes and even looking up at the ceiling in frustration. No parent should ever have to witness that kind of behavior directed at their child, especially a child on the spectrum who needs patience and support. To make matters worse, when we called to cancel and withdraw our kids from the program, the staff member we spoke with didn't even ask why we were leaving or show any concern at all. That lack of care and understanding was just as disappointing as what we saw during lessons. Parents of children with autism, please think twice before enrolling your kids here. We all want an environment that offers patience, care, and encouragement, and unfortunately EVO did not provide that for our family. We will not be returning.

It was solid, personable, and coaches actually enjoyed and cared for the kids growth. Fast forward to now, our oldest (8), middle child (4), and our youngest (2) have been loyal to this company for a long time. The facility was OK, we stayed because of the young coaches that taught our kids, also we don't like change in general . Since it was bought out from SafeSplash, we saw a decline in students, the vibes are off from the coaches, the parents/kids. The management cares more about the tasks not actually care of each kid. The new swim curriculum is weird and I don't see any improvement from my 2 and 4 year old boys compared to my 8 year old when he started with aqua Safe's curriculum. Finally, I don't recommend it this place anymore. It used to be awesome for the kids but now they're more focus on making money vs kids growth in swim. We're currently at Swimhaus Swim School and it's been amazing. Family local owned, which is huge plus for us!!

She has an incredible ability to make children feel comfortable in the water while building their confidence one step at a time. What truly sets her apart is the way she meets each child where they are. She celebrates every milestone, no matter how small, and encourages them through challenges with kindness and positivity. Learning to swim can be intimidating, but Coach Em creates an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Her professionalism, knowledge, and passion for teaching are evident in every lesson. She doesn't simply teach swimming techniques--she helps children develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong respect for the water. Those are skills that extend far beyond the pool. Coach Em is also an outstanding representative of Sunsational. She embodies the qualities every parent hopes for in an instructor: compassionate, dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each child's success. We couldn't recommend her more highly and are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she continues to have on the children she teaches.

Facility is very clean and obviously kid friendly. The reception area is nice with some other fun activities for kids to get into while their sibling or other family member is taking a swim class. 2. Instructors are pretty decent. The instructors we've had so far for my 7 month old's class have been quite impressive and really know how to handle babies and how to make the class fun but also progress in their pool safety training. My son really enjoys his class with his Coach Ethan. That kid definitely knows how to make a class fun and inviting for toddlers. 3. Classes are very intimate as they don't go over 3 kids per class. My son has had mostly private classes lately as other kids have not really joined his time slot, which is wonderful in my opinion so he gets that 1x1 coaching. 4. The ease of scheduling via their app and their text messaging system. Very responsive!

Stumbled upon Big Blue Gilbert; and signed up for a bunch of trial classes. Loved their infrastructure, facilities, large pools and the serious passion across all teachers to teach young kids to be comfortable and safe in water. My son initially was very nervous to get into the pool without parents but the staff and teachers here are beyond amazing and made him comfortable. He's loving it after 4 classes. Special shoutout to Ms. Jamie! My son's favorite teacher and he keeps taking her name beyond the classes too. I'd strongly recommend those in the valley to try these folks! Also Austin who's the Manager is amazing as well, and has been very patient to answer all our questions and concerns.

I just think she needs to work on confidence since she still doesn't like to swim in the deep end of our pool. The facility is clean and the goldfish theme is cute, they even have a fish tank that my kids like to see. The lil table with books and crayons is a nice touch. There are good amenities - lots of changing rooms, a changing table, hair dryers and dryers for your swimsuits. I've never had issues with rescheduling classes if needed. Just keep in mind if you decide to stop with lessons but you still have a class or two to reschedule, they won't allow it. You must still be active. There is also a sibling discount if you have more than one child taking lessons here.

Also they have temperature controlled pool and the accommodations in the bathroom are great (shampoo, conditioner, etc). Made it easier to get her cleaned up before she goes home. We will get our younger daughter signed up soon! Thanks again!

We came to Aspire Kids from another gym because my son didn't like that there were no other boys in his classes. My son started in the Mighty Mites program at age 5, and after a year moved into competitive gymnastics. He has competed for 3 years now with the Junior SunDevils, and we couldn't be more pleased with his training and coaches. During COVID lockdowns, we were offered free Zoom training, and we were able to schedule virtual private lessons for my son to continue to progress. Switching to training in the day group this past year has improved my son's training and competition experience and outcome even more. The one aspect I have enjoyed as a parent with Jr SunDevils is the rapport and support among athletes and families. I have heard of a lot of drama in other sports or gyms, and not having to deal with that has been great. Parent support is great, and I have enjoyed getting to know other team families. I'm a big fan of Aspire Kids, and the boys' team. I can't speak for the girls' program or others, but we spend a lot of hours there, and my kid is happy to be there. I'm grateful to be a part of Aspire Kids Sports!
