Cheenee is awesome! She is gentle and kind. I am a swimmer myself, but I didn't know how to teach proper technique with my kids 5/7/9 years old. Cheenee knows how to teach, and she know how to teach efficiently. What took my kids to learn 5 months at the YMCA, my kids learned in 1 month. She is private and expensive, but worth the $ as my kids get one on one time, instead of 5 kids in a group to 1 teacher as in the YMCA. So my kids learned how to swim much faster and this makes a difference in the summer when you want to take vacations and not have anxiety about your kids not being able to swim. I am so grateful for Cheenee. My 6 year old daughter was absolutely terrified to put her face in the water. My goal for my daughter was just to be able to put her face in the water and be comfortable in the pool. But Cheenee was incredible and taught my daughter to straight up swim after a couple of lessons! My jaw would drop watching my daughter at each swim lesson, from being able to fully submerge in the water to swimming without a kick board. So much progress was made, it was unbelievable. Cheenee is an amazing swim instructor! My 5 year old son was scared to put his head underwater when she started with him, even after lessons at water wings and other places. She was patient and kind and made the lessons fun (I always heard lots of laughing during their lessons!). On day 1, he went under the water, and after 2 1/2 weeks of daily lessons, he was swimming the width of the pool on his own and wants nothing to do with the floaties he was so attached to before. Cheenee is the best teacher! My daughter started when she was 9 and was so afraid to put her head in the water. Cheenee is a truly gifted teacher and a very caring person, too! I am a mom who always knew how to swim in water, but never learned proper form and breathing or official swim strokes either. Suddenly I found myself needing to pass a swim test to accompany my daughter on a field trip to Catalina, and within one hour Cheenee was able to coach me to swimming 75 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke effectively. She took a great stress off me and I'm super grateful for her help. Cheenee is a fantastic swim instructor. Although our daughter is already a capable swimmer, we wanted her to improve her strokes. By the end of the first lesson, we already saw a huge change, and our daughter has continued to make great improvements with Cheenee's help.
