The bar/café was great too -- friendly staff, they gave my buddy a free birthday drink and clearly explained the menu. The cart girl was a sweetheart and told us the course wasn't busy. That said, the green fee ($120) is a joke given the endless sponsorship signs on nearly every hole -- you'd think that would help keep rates reasonable. The course was a bit dry in spots, and there was a bulldozer working on the Desert course that drove over where one of our shots would have landed, forcing us to stop and re-hit.The marshal was the worst part. We were keeping a reasonable pace (about 10 minutes per hole) with groups in front and behind, but he kept pressuring us to hurry even while the cart girl confirmed it wasn't busy. When the group behind asked to play through, he was abrupt and basically told us "everyone pays the same" and to move faster. To catch up we skipped two holes while he watched from the top of the 7th near a sponsored bench. I should've noted his name -- he seemed unconcerned. Oddly, there was a hole sponsored by a roofing company and the club had closed the front entrance because of a roofing leak -- seemed like something that should've been handled faster. Between the price, course condition, equipment on the fairway, and the marshal's attitude, we decided not to join the club despite a friend who lives nearby. Staff in the shop and café were the bright spots, but overall the experience didn't justify the cost.

Hopefully you'll have someone to help coordinate the parking so they'll be enough room to park cars and also exit. The event space is big, the wedding was able to fit around 200 people. They have a dance area, a bar and a covered area so you can put food there. There also no bathroom here unless you bring a Potter potty or a bathroom trailer which they had here.

The structural issues are real. Hosting two weddings simultaneously means you're hearing the other event's music bleeding through. The layout creates a bottleneck in the bride's prep room; one entrance, constant traffic of makeup artists, hair people, bridesmaids moving in and out. It's constraining and chaotic. But the bigger problem is Elena's management style. She's charming with clients but treats other vendors like subordinates. A day before her "due date," she called me demanding insurance documentation, not to collaborate, just to tell me what she needed. I already had it prepared and I told her so. She refused to look at it. Instead: "I'm emailing you my requirements. You check those first. Only then will I look at your documentation." Everything at her pace, on her terms, zero cooperation. And it turn out my insurance documents were correct. She micromanages everything. She literally assigned me a specific parking spot in her dirt lot -- see attached photo to understand how ridiculous that is. She's so controlling and with this gives couples a false sense of security and so they end up relying entirely on her instead of hiring a coordinator. But this leaves vendors scrambling because she runs the venue, not the event. And her self-promotion overshadows the couple; more media presence by the venue than by the bride and groom. I have worked weddings for almost 15 years, and only here at Blomgren Ranch with Elena, did I feel I must leave a review to warn people, I have never met anyone as abhorrent as Elena. Bottom line: you're not renting a venue. You're entering someone's home under her strict terms, where she's the authority and everyone else answers to her and her level of care is only equal to the amount of money she can get out of you. This is a nice banquet facility to host a large event or party. There are 4 separate rooms varying…read morein size. It is owned and staffed by the City of Santa Clarita. I have been to parties at this location and recently hosted my husband's retirement party here. I found the venue to be clean and the staff will set up the room to your specifications. They supply tables, chairs, podium, dance floor, audio visual equipment, p.a. system and have some other items available. You bring your own linens, decorations, food, music, beverages. Unless you hire someone, be prepared to include set up time and clean-up time in the cost of room rental. You are allowed to have alcohol at the venue but you will have to provide insurance and security which will cost extra. I found the staff member that dealt with my reservation/deposit to be efficient but not overly friendly or helpful when I had questions about the room. The staff working the front counter of the facility do your room set up and are assigned to be at the facility during your event. These employees were way more helpful and knowledgeable about the equipment and the room then the reservation person. Unless you have access to a neighborhood club house, I am not aware that there are many other options like it in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Instead of calling us liars maybe you should of contacted us to ask how we were affected by those who you chose to associate with. Secondly, regardless if you had access to the home owner or not the facts remain that the vendor you hired did not pick up their merchandise as instructed and at the end of the day it was your company that did the clean up the following day after numerous calls and texts. Clean up that could of happened day of the party or even night of, but again did not happen until we told you we would once again handle and remove the property from the home. Again, completely unacceptable. Finally, your approach of blaming the victim, instead of taking ownership and responsibility for those you hire or partner with is again a clear indication of your lack of professionalism and experience. To be so dismissing of someone's experience is not okay. We wrote a fair and honest review of our experience with your company and those you associate with.
