That's so important to someone like me who is passionate about getting the most longevity with my body mechanics. It's not a show you once and then just push you to do it faster kind of place. It's a do it smart do it right. That alone deserves so much respect. The work outs are fun, the music is great, and not so loud I can't hear the instructor. Most impressively I feel my back muscles getting stronger like nothing has ever worked them before. I felt gains in my stamina and core strength within the first few classes. Lucky for me, the other studio didn't call me back until after I booked 3 privates at Fusion. After my first session, I signed up for 2 more, for a total of 5 privates while I was in town. I've had a lot of private training and private pilates classes, and Amy is one of the best. Amy is compassionate, knowledgeable and a true teacher. She was mindful of my issues and gave me so many take-aways for me to use on my own. She also used some amazing heated props that helped loosen muscles and bring awareness to specific areas. My husband teased me that I would move to Asheville to continue working with Amy. Everyone should have this kind of training.

They have instructors who are really good at encouraging you when you're new at Pilates, and instructors who will give you the kick in the pants you need to get to the next level. They have a lot of different group classes at various times of the day. Everyone there is great about asking how you're feeling and helping you adapt to any injuries or problems you have. Good form and not getting injured is a big focus for them, which I really appreciate. I sometimes do pilates in other cities when I travel, and it always reminds me how lucky we are to have Pure in Asheville.

The staff here is friendly, everything is super clean, and like most PFs, there is a ton of equipment. Aside from one thing! They only have four Smith machines. When I arrived, they were all taken. When one opened up, a couple hopped on it in an instant. If you're strength training, you need Smith machines and dumbbells. The dumbbell area is also a little smaller than most. Despite all that, this is still a great gym and highly recommended. And if you're just looking to maintain and stay fit and do cardio, you will love it.
