Clearly unlicensed. Has no idea what they're doing. Ruined my hair. Thanks a lot. Never coming back here ever. $12 for a haircut. You get what you pay for. I went in and the guy who cut my hair clearly didn't understand me even though I tried to clarify extensively. It was pretty simple anywayI asked for a three. The guy gave me a one and messed up the buzzer around my ears and just clearly was never taught how to use scissors to cut hair. He also just shaved my neck line way too high up. The owner blamed it on me and said my neck line is too low. She insisted that I pay her the $12. Can't believe I actually did. This is actually the worst haircut I have ever had. I went across the street to Rudy's and got it fixed for another $25. They couldn't bring back the length but at least it wasn't totally lopsided and ridiculous looking. Next time I'll go there or literally anywhere else. I gave myself better haircuts during the pandemic with clippers I bought at rite aid. read more

Best hair wash of your life. The chair is fully reclined so there is no strain on your neck. You're laying flat while you get an amazing hair wash. It's a double wash with conditioner. This is a great salon where the stylists know their stuff. I went in once to go from natural black to a dark brown (135+tip) and again recently to go full blonde (280+tip). Each time I went the stylists advised me on what would be best for my hair in terms of style, cut, and color. The color service always come with wash, cut, and blowdry. They also massage your scalp and shoulders when you do the wash. My hair feels extra silky and bouncy after. Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The regular hair cuts for men and women are pretty affordable too. Shoutout to James and Sally for always doing an excellent job, my hair especially being long and extremely thick is a lot of work. I'm a guy who always went to a barbershop that had tv's on ESPN and serious bro-vibes. I get the attraction. I started to get tired of my barber being high and taking 30 minutes to cut my hair, constantly distracted by the convos. I also paid WAY too much. At Swing Time, you don't get tv's or distracted, stoned barbers. James, my preferred guy could teach a master class to these buddy boy barber types. He is a technician. The cost for a cut is $14. Walked in just before noon on a Sunday and was taken to the shampoo chair in like 30 seconds. Usually, I don't like getting my hair washed at the salon because the person will be too rough or it'll put a strain on my neck. But that's not an issue here. The lady was careful and gave me a massage on my neck that I really needed! What a nice treat. I had waist-length hair and got a wash cut blowdry for less than $50 in just under an hour. I also really liked that they didn't try to sell me anything extra. Normally, my past stylists would comment on my grays unprompted and try to get me to color it or do some treatment, etc. They didn't do none of that. This place needs to be shut down immediately. I came in to get my roots done, very simple. I had healthy platinum blonde hair that I treat very well. I left with chunks of hair FALLING OUT OF MY HEAD. My hair started falling out when they were leaving in the bleach too long. I asked to wash the bleach out and was told no. They SAW the chunks of hair falling out and only said "don't worry don't worry". Not only that!!! But the lady with the dark brown hair literally tried to put a BRUSH through my WET bleached hair and I had to physically stop her. Now my hair is utterly destroyed and more than half of it has fallen out. I left this salon sobbing. MANY years of healthy hair care destroyed in 3 hours with these people. I didn't catch anyone's names but the women with light-ashy-brown hair did my highlights and it came out gorgeous (no yellow, beautiful white, even better than I asked for). I took my son here to get his hair cut. He has longish surfer-guy type hair. He needed to just get a trim and some layers cut in so he didn't look like me circa 1976 bowl cut. I told this to the stylist and he said ok. He then proceeded to butcher my son's hair, cutting about half the length off. He didn't so much put some layers into his hair as take out uneven chunks such that my son's haircut looked like he had a losing fight with a weed whacker. I'm not sure if this was because the stylist didn't have the English skills to understand what I was asking for, or if he was just incompetent, but what I am sure of is that I have a pissed off young boy with a bad haircut and nothing good to say about this place. So I decided to try my haircut here and was very happy with the result. And finding such a bargain within walking distance from my home really freed me up to give well deserved tips to both the stylist and the shampoo lady (who also gave me a head and neck massage!) True that it's not the fanciest salon in the world, but don't let that deter you. The stylists are friendly and the (ten minute!) pre-style shampoo/head massage is, in itself, worth the entire cost of service. While I have not gotten a cut here yet, I do come in frequently for a shampoo/style and Swing Time consistently delivers beautiful work. They do not scrimp on the details even when there is a line out the door. I have not seen a single person leave the salon with an ugly or dated 'do. They cut my hair so perfectly and even take the time to flat-iron it or blow dry it perfectly for me. I've also gotten my hair layered here for a great price. It is also good to note that they will dye your hair for you if you supply the box of hair dye! I haven't done this yet but I may in the future. They also have a "rewards card" type of thing where you get a stamp on a card for every time you come, and when it's filled up you get a hot oil treatment! Yes there is a bit of a language barrier.
