The employee there took away the dead grass sods but the owner on the phone instructed casher that they don't do refund, which means you're out of luck as buyers if they sell you dead plants & grasses & flowers! I find it hard to believe that this local business can get away by ripping customers because trumbull/monroe is a very good community! Please do yourself a favor and save any potential headache by going to other nurseries in the area! unbelievable terrible customer services!

Back in April I went to Wakemans to purchase 3 white hydrangea plants. They only had two in stock, but promised they would order the last one for me. Excited, I purchased the two places to for $90 each and planted them. The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable but did scold an employee in front of me, which was very awkward. A couple weeks later I called to follow up on the other plants and she hadn't ordered it. I called again, once a week, for the next couple weeks and the owner called me back, great right! Well he told me they no longer could get the plant from the grower, well no shit it's been weeks now, but told me he would call to see what he could do. I NEVER heard back from him after reaching out multiple times. Like really?! I'm a new home owner with a big gardening project and I would have bought more plants in the future. But wait.. there's more here. So my hydrangeas bloomed and guess what, one isn't the right plant! It's a pink flower. I texted this information to the owner and yet again, no response. No I have 2 of the 3 plants I wanted, one isn't even the right plant, and they have done NOTHING to reconcile my experience. I hate to be the person to go on Facebook and leave a review, but without a method of actually talking to this establishment I figured this was the only way for other people to be aware of the lack organization and follow up with their customers, especially after I paid a premium for the wrong plant. Lastly I was referred to this place being told they had great plants, great employees, etc. I'm sad I didn't have that experience because if it went differently I would have been a lifelong customer.
