why do companies post notices that they have services available and then change their story? Saw an add from this company that they had new machinery for spray mulching. "Call for a quote" the add said. When I called I was put on hold and then told that they did not actually do the work but "contract it out" to some other place. What?? So called the number they gave me and could not even get voicemail or an answering service. Finally reached the guy and was told of course "he would swing by and give me a quote". Knew by the tone of his voice he was just bs'ing and of course never showed up. Job is already done by someone else. Have been buying mulch here for over 10 years and they have great service and fair prices. They also removed my in ground oil tank and replaced it with an above ground tank. About a week later some of the dirt sank and left a sink hole. Called them up , told them what happen and they were there the next day and brought in more dirt. Problem solved. Last Friday I had 6 yards of mulch dropped. Turned out i needed 7 yards. So I went down there this am to buy another 1 yard, there is a 3 yard min. Unprofessional, surly and interested only in job completion. They were subcontracted to remove an old fuel oil tank and install a new tank. A request to move their truck from the driveway to permit room to move fuel tanks in and out of the garage was met with questions. A request to comply with contact conditions to re-route the intake and fuel vent line to comply with code was met with the response that " this was not necessary" and was only resolved by multiple telephone conversations. The old fuel supply line was buried in the basement cement floor which was to be "capped" and replaced with an overhead supply line. One end of the old supply line was capped and cemented over, the other end was left open resulting in an open "hole" The overhead supply line was installed in an unprofessional "sandbox" style without thought. The D.R.Charles people left without purging the supply line, this required multiple service calls to our fuel oil supply company to restore the heating system to working order. read more
