Husband has been bugged me to try the Swiss chalet in Canada, as this is his favorite place for rotisserie chicken. We walked in today on our way to Ann Arbor for lunch, i ordered their chicken spring roll and kale salad. All very good, especially the spring roll, like authentic Chinese spring roll. And good price too.. 2 plate of spring roll for 8 dollars on promotion, regular is 7.99 for one. Can't believe it. I also tried rotisserie chicken from husband's plate, very good, and better than Costco or Sam's! read more

I had supper this evening at Swiss Chalet. I was hungry as I hadn't eaten since breakfast and ordered a half chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. The chicken was good as was the dipping sauce. Placed an online order at 1pm for pickup at 5:25pm. Showed up at 5:30pm and was told the order wasn't quite ready yet. Today is Mother's Day, so some delay is understandable. After waiting for 40 minutes and seeing people walk in, place fresh orders, and leave with their orders, I walked to the counter and was told my order was nowhere to be seen and had to place my order a second time. Waited another 20 minutes for my order and was offered no compensation. Obviously Mother's Day is extremely busy, but having to wait an hour past the pick up time for an order that had been placed 4 1/2 hours prior is unacceptable, especially when people were walking in and out with fresh orders before receiving mine. read more

First, the bad. The young man that brings you to your seat always looks mad that you showed up, been there many times and he is always the same. The food here is always good. I like my chicken well done and same with my fries and they never disappoint. The waitresses pretty much all have a great personality. They need to change the person that seats you, as it's a very bad first impression. I have never seen him with a good attitude. read more

Absolutely awful. Normally when you go into a Swiss Chalet, or are ordering take-out even, you know what you are getting. This is not the case with this location. I don't know why, or what's wrong but the food is extremely greasy (like WAY more then normal). I noticed this on everything I have ordered from this location from 1/4 chicken to Ribs. The service in the restaurant is among the absolute worst in the city. Waiting nearly 20 minutes for a waitress to take a drink order is just not acceptable in any restaurant during any 'busy' time of day. Inside the restaurant is very dated and the decore leaves much to be desired. I know that Swiss Chalet is far from a 'gourmet' place to eat, but I feel that my $40 meal was terribly over-priced. Typical Swiss Chalet. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. Food took a little longer than expected, especially since there were not that many people there at the time. But when the food did get there, it was very good except for one of our guest's whose children's chicken was dry. read more

Three or so years ago, the wait times were horrendous. It has been recently renovated, featuring nice modern decor. It also must have new management as the wait times are now normal. The food is good, and the chicken great (never tried their ribs). Our family comes here once in a while or for special occasions. I no longer have any problems with this place, and rather like it. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch travelling back to Toronto. Ordered a double leg with fries. Food came out fairly quickly (15 mins or so) and was decent, standard swiss chalet. Our server was attentive, and came by to check on us a number of times, restaurant looked about as busy as you would assume it to be for a Monday lunch. read more

What a horrible meal. I was in phone for 20 min or more placing the order. Then 40 min later food arrived. It was a tiny piece of chicken, a cold dried out potatoe and a cold bun. Horrible disappointment when your hungry. I can say this is the 3rd time this has happened and will never order again. Done with Swiss Chalet forever. CRAP FOOD AND SERVICE. My family and I went to this location for dinner this past weekend, or at least we tried too. There was 6 adults and 2 kids in our party. We arrived during dinner time, without a reservation. When we were greeted and told the person (missed her name), about our party size, she looked flustered. She asked another co-worker about our party size and where to put us. She then told us they didn't have space, at all. Not if you could wait x number of minutes we would make you a space (which is what i expected going during dinner time, party size and no reservation). We were told we don't have space for you at all. So we left and went to another restaurant in the area who was able to accommodate our needs, without a wait too. read more

Okay wow one word to describe my lunch here, DISGUSTING! Firstly, the lemon that came with my water had a BLACK HAIR ON IT!!! Aren't employees required to wear hairnets while preparing food? So he took the water back and got me a new one thank jesus! Then I got a chicken wrap with Caesar salad and michelle got a BBQ wrap but with garden salad because you know #healthy and they put my wrap with her salad and vise-versa. So we told him that it was wrong and he had the smartest idea to try and pick up my wrap and michelle's wrap with his BARE HANDS to switch them around. like who in the right mind does that? so the big momma bear told him to go fix it in the kitchen professionally. yes michelle did indeed get a bit feisty but honestly he had the audacity to touch my dank chicken with his bare hands? nu uh hunni! so he came back with Hanna's meal and yup you guessed it, he got her order wrong too! that hoe shoulda never of been hired! so he brought hanna back her proper order but everything was hella nasty so we payed for god knows what was on the wrap and left. thank god the mall was right there to get something worth my money. and if you were wondering I got vege sushi and boy was that ever good. but not raw fish cuz that is gross. read more
