    Boiled potatoes

While in Zurich we dined at this cute restaurant . We wanted to have authentic fondue. We each ordered a pot. One had ham and mushrooms the other had 4 cheeses. It came with a basket of cut up bread and we got a bag of boiled mini potatoes . Delicious to the end of the pot which actually was the best part, gooey crunchy cheese at the bottom of the pot. It went perfectly with a glass of beer. Service was good and our waiter spoke English . Ambiance was quite charming with several cuckoo clocks displayed .

When in switzerland you have to get fondue!!! This place was great. It was our first night of the trip so we all wanted to try some swiss fondue. While it doesnt smell the best, the taste makes up for it. The cheese and chocolate fondues were nice and warm and tasty. Service here was also fast and friendly! We also tried a cheesey pasta dish which was awesome! Great spot in zurich for fondue!

We came to eat traditional cheese fondue and that's what we got. The satisfaction of their options of cheese fondue and what you can have is endless. We were served and attend to greatly. We sat outside in a touristy area and the inside as well was beautiful designed. The food itself was so good. I left fulfilled and portion size was everything we needed. I could have not asked for a better food experience.

Nice size restaurant with seating inside and out. The service was great from start to finish. The onion soup is a do not miss. Both the chicken and sausage were cooked just right. The brown gravy is outstanding. They are pretty busy so it might be a good idea for a reservation.

Swiss Chuchi is one of the most recommended fondu restaurants in Zurich. We had fondu and raclette. This was one of the meals that I was looking forward to the most but it was a little disappointing. The service was friendly but not super helpful since there wasn't too much instruction on how to eat. Since you are eating with a burner, it does get quite hot inside and I think it would've been preferable to eat outside. Overall, I think it's a little overhyped and I wouldn't have gone out of the way to eat here.

We are so glad our hotel concierge recommended this fondue restaurant in Old Town Zurich. We had a lovely dining experience! There was no waiting in line - that's a bonus! Started off with Aperol Spritz of course, delicious onion soup, cheese fondue with ham, mushroom and white wine, added strips of beef, also shared braised beef shoulder with homemade spaetzli. OMg what a fantastic dinner - everything tasted yummy - my husband and I had a lovely time, service was friendly and location so nice for people-watching. Highly recommended!

I felt like I had to do fondue while in Switzerland. The restaurant was quite busy. I made a reservation beforehand and had to use a credit card to hold it. We were seated in the corner, which worked out well for us. I went with the Adler's special cheese fondue. It was quite overpriced at 36.5 CHF and it only comes with bread. I guess I should've ordered sides to go with it (potatoes, chicken, beef). Honestly, I felt like it was a waste of money since I ate less than half of it. I also ordered the liver dish as I wasn't going to get full off bread and cheese. It came with a side dish and I went with rosti. I enjoyed the liver, but thought the portion was small. The rosti was a bit greasy. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

This place is touristy but still absolutely wonderful!! We had the traditional cheese fondue and had a side of veggies. We also had the chocolate fondue although I would have preferred different dippers for the chocolate fondue. The waiter was great and attentive. He also did the typical trick where they fold up the bottom of the fondue pot for the crunchy part. I would definitely come back here. I do suggest a reservation though. It seemed like typical time to come here was 7pm and it was full around the time. People were definitely waiting

Classic swiss fondue. Stick with the fondue, the raclette was not as tasty and didn't have as much cheese.

This spot in old town had a super long line and the reviews looked promising so we got in line as well. Service is quick and friendly and they've got tables both indoors and outdoors. Food was fairly mid. We got the fondue with mushrooms and ham expecting to be able to eat the mushrooms and ham as well, but they were chopped so small that we could neither pick them out nor did they stick to the food we got to dip in the fondue. The beef bites to accompany the fondue were very dry and tough, while the vegetables appeared to be steamed or boiled with no other seasoning. Curry ragout was overall tasty but the chicken was dry as well and the fruit pairing didn't add much to the dish.

So chaotic. We had reservations, and the guy was barking at me like I was a dog " down, down, down" even though his colleague told us to go up and that we would be seated. Prices are ridiculous and fondue only comes with bread. The cheese tasted fine and most of the wait staff were really nice. We also got the fondue with cubed meat and hot oil. It splashed over me and was really stressful and I did not enjoy the experience.

Best Fondu in town according to Google review. Very good vibe and traditional interior inside. The service was friendly and professional. The fondu was delicious and satisfying though a bit strong. The price was amazingly below my expectation. Very affordable. This is a must visit!

    Roast and Boiled Potatoes

Adler's Swiss Chuchi was an absolute delight! I ordered the short rib roast with boiled potatoes, and the roast was incredibly tender--melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The potatoes were simple and good, though you may want to add a little table salt to bring out the flavor. For dessert, I had the apple strudel, and let me tell you... it was perfect. Warm, comforting, and the ideal sweet ending to the meal. The walk from Zurich HB to Old Town is absolutely worth it for this experience. I highly recommend making reservations. However, if you're feeling adventurous and your party is no larger than two, standing in line can actually be fun--great people-watching! A cozy, authentic Swiss experience that I would happily return to. Highly recommend!

Love, love, love the Raclette Factory…read more Really wanted to have another Raclette experience while in Switzerland. The first was in Lucerne and we loved it! Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Lamine Yamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! Thank you to Flavio who really made our experience at the Raclette Factory a highlight of our visit to Zurich. Service was amazing and he gave us great recommendations. Definitely a night to remember.

Raclette is a dish of melted cheese over potatoes or bread. Which is very good, just extremely rich! I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm all about cheese, but this was a lot! The prices are very high for what you are actually eating, and we almost order the 'all you can eat" option, because it seemed like a good deal. So glad we didn't, because I would have had a tough time trying to eat another pile of melted cheese! We did order the "world best" garlic bread, which was good, but only average... not the world's best!

The raclette comes with tiny white potatoes and gerkins. The raclette was plenty even though we did not order the all you can eat. While I enjoyed the raclette, I enjoyed the Truffle Butter Fondue even more. It was served with pieces of baguette bread and the fondue was so creamy and flavorful. It definitely had a strong truffle flavor which I really enjoyed. Just as enjoyable as the food was the ambiance. Chasalp is located on a hill overlooking Zurich so you have a nice view of the city as you walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available but with how beautiful the scenery was, we definitely had to sit outside. Cows roam around the lush green grass as you enjoy your meal and everything feels so peaceful and serene. Our servers were very friendly and helpful and checked on us often to make sure everything was okay. While we didn't have any kids with us, the outdoor space also looked to be kid-friendly with a nearby swing set for children to use along with crayons and drawing sheets at the table to keeps kids occupied. I had such a wonderful and relaxing experience and definitely recommend it if you're in Zurich and looking for a delicious fondue option.
