Removery Tattoo Removal & Fading

I genuinely hate having to leave this review because, overall, I love Removery as a company and…read morehave had great results with my tattoo removal journey. However, this particular location has become a major source of frustration for me, and unfortunately, the issue centers around my experiences with one nurse, Cidney. For context, I purchased a large tattoo removal package during the Black Friday sale in November 2024 and spent roughly $3,800. I had been coming to this location regularly for treatments. Later, I wanted to add additional tattoos that were not included in my original package. Because I am a content creator and had already been documenting my tattoo removal journey online, I reached out to Removery's social media team. We ended up establishing a partnership in which I would receive treatment on additional tattoos in exchange for content. That is where the issues began. Despite knowing that capturing content is part of my partnership obligations, Cidney consistently makes the process uncomfortable. I completely understand that not everyone enjoys being on camera, and I have always respected that. I never film her face--only her hands during treatment. Even with those accommodations, her demeanor noticeably changes whenever content is involved. She becomes visibly tense, the energy in the room shifts, and it creates an environment where I no longer feel comfortable doing the job I agreed to do. In fact, during my last several appointments, I have not captured any content at all. I intentionally stopped bringing my camera because I wanted to avoid making her uncomfortable. The problem is that this prevents me from fulfilling the obligations of a partnership that both I and Removery agreed to. Beyond that, appointments with Cidney consistently feel rushed despite moving very slowly. I only realized how significant the difference was after being treated at another Removery location. At the other location, the nurse prepares in advance so that when I arrive, treatment begins smoothly and efficiently. With Cidney, a significant portion of the appointment often feels spent on tasks that could have been completed beforehand. As a result, we almost never finish treating all the tattoos I come in for, even when many of them are very small. The appointment eventually reaches its time limit, and I am told there is no time left to complete the remaining tattoos. Today's appointment was the final straw. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 PM. I arrived at 2:55 PM and waited while Cidney finished another client. I understand delays happen, and I was not upset about that. However, my appointment did not begin until approximately 3:09 PM. As we discussed the tattoos I wanted treated, Cidney told me we would need to limit what we did because we only had until 3:30 PM. That was frustrating because the shortened time was the result of the previous appointment running over--not because I arrived late. I explained that I should not lose treatment time because another appointment exceeded its scheduled slot. After I pushed back, she agreed to proceed with the full appointment. Wanting to maximize the time we had, I even told her not to worry about using ice packs between tattoos because many of the tattoos are already fading and the discomfort has become much more manageable. I was actively trying to help speed up the process so we could complete everything on my list. Despite that, the appointment still moved slowly, and once again we were unable to treat everything. At the end of the appointment, when Cidney attempted to schedule my next visit, I politely declined. I want to be clear that this review is not about Removery as a company. I have had positive experiences elsewhere and have seen excellent results from my treatments. My frustration is specific to the repeated experiences I have had at this location. I am actually urging Removery to repair the cooling machine at the Valencia location because I would happily make that my permanent location. The only reason I have continued coming here is because the Valencia machine has been out of service, and the treatments there are much harder to tolerate without the cold air system. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews especially when it comes to businesses I actually support, but after repeatedly experiencing the same issues over multiple appointments, I felt it was important to share my experience.

Even though the first session can be painful, they really helped me get through it. They explained all the aftercare steps patiently and even gave me an aftercare kit to use at home. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service. If you have a tattoo you don't love anymore, I definitely recommend coming here to get it removed.

There are ongoing legal claims against LaserAway (2025) about deceptive sales practices, where…read morecustomers say they were misled into buying extra treatments without clear consent. I had a very concerning experience with LaserAway that people should know about. The sales tactics are aggressive--they keep pushing you to sign up for more treatments, and it becomes really confusing what you're actually agreeing to. In August 2025, I had just lost my job and was focused on paying off existing balances, which is reflected in the ~$6,300 payment I made to Comenity that same month. I was trying to eliminate debt--not take on more. Around that time, I reached out to LaserAway asking for the lender information so I could pay everything off. During that interaction, something shifted. They started reviewing my account, saying I had "value" or "credits," and that they could "update" or "take care of it." I was sent something digitally, and if anything was signed, it was done quickly and under stress, without it being clearly explained that THIS WAS A NEW $5,155 FINANCING AGREEMENT FOR 6 TREATMENTS. My mindset was that I was closing things out--not signing up for more. However, I was signed up for 6 additional treatments without my clear understanding. Then in March 2026, I went back just to ask if I had any leftover credits--completely unaware there was a $5,155 balance. They told me I did and encouraged me to use them, which made everything seem normal. Then in April 2026, Comenity/Alphaeon started calling my dad (who has nothing to do with this account) saying I was overdue and adding late fees. That's when I realized what happened. The financing was done through Alphaeon/Comenity, and I was not clearly told I was opening a credit account or taking on a new balance. I only realized this 7-8 months later, and by then I was told it was too late to dispute. Another major concern is that neither LaserAway nor Alphaeon/Comenity have provided a signed contract showing I knowingly agreed to this $5,155 balance--only a receipt and generic confirmation, which does not prove informed consent. Also, this charge was processed through the Glendale location, even though I consistently go to Woodland Hills and Calabasas, and almost all my prior receipts are from those locations--not Glendale. In the past, I've also been told I was receiving complimentary facials or lotions, but was later charged without my knowledge. When I called it out, I was told the assistant involved was no longer there, which shows a pattern of unclear or unauthorized charges. It's extremely difficult to get help--calls go unanswered, and in person they refused a full refund. From my experience, you go in to manage your account, but instead get digital forms via text/email that lead to more charges without clear explanation, and by the time you realize it, they say it's too late to dispute. If this happens to you, read everything carefully and don't sign anything unless you fully understand it. You can also file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/ CONTACT THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE A SETUP WHERE LASERAWAY HITS YOU WITH HIDDEN CHARGES AND COMENITY/ALPHAEON GIVES YOU A SHORT WINDOW TO DISPUTE, LEAVING YOU STUCK WITH THE BILL.

While I don't want to share all my secrets, it's important to let everyone know about a small,…read morewoman-owned business that is doing everything right! Mary is the Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and owner of Epitome Med Spa and I've been very happy with every interaction we've had! From early emails asking about gift cards and price, to exchanging Yelp Messages to schedule an initial appointment, and the two times I've been in the spa, she has been wonderful! When talking about neurotoxins, she gave me the rundown of what she has (all of them), how some people prefer one type over the other, what she uses on herself, etc. Once we decided, then it was about how much and we took a moderate approach, as you can always get more if needed, but you can't really undo it if it's too much. After 2 weeks, I called for a follow-up appointment, as a couple areas needed a little touch up. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! But, before I left, I was able to get a quick and inexpensive quote for some milia diathermy, which I will schedule after my vacation. As many have said, Mary doesn't try to upsell you on other products, even though I'm sure her expert opinion has some other procedures in mind for all the faces she sees, lol! There is an easy-to-miss narrow turn to go into the parking lot right after the spa (which is immediately next door to Casalena). There are also meters in front that offer 2-hour parking. If you're looking for non-surgical intervention for your skin, go see Mary!

5 Stars times 4!…read more Doctor Weitzbach has treated my wife, daughter, son and me... all with kindness, compassion, exceptional medical expertise and diligent follow-up. In the last few years, Doctor Weitzbach's annual skin cancer checks have found 2 cancers (one requiring radiation and one Mohs surgery) and numerous pre-cancers requiring freezing. The two most serious cancers were caught so early that second opinions from plastic surgeons verified Dr. Weitzbach's early detection saved us from potentially disfiguring surgery that would have been required if the tumors had been allowed to grow. His and his team's treatment of our children has been equally exceptional. Whether treating severe adolescent acne with Accutane, strategies for Psoriasis or simple acne facials, we could not have asked for more or better treatment. Did I mention that they have a pharmacy on the premises so you don't have to go running to the drugstore after your doctors visit? Convenience and competence... We could not ask for more and strongly recommend Dr. Weitzbach.
