Within 3 minutes of her stating that, she said "we have no lease with you" therefore we can not allow you access to the unit you have been paying on for 6 years. Approximately $5400 that they have taken from me. So IF you have no lease with me, then why wasn't I notified long before now???? Marcy was given every document she needed when we found out my husband was terminally ill 6 years ago. And she claims that she does not know who Marcy is. Really??? I keep getting phone calls to this very day from Marcy from this company! More games on their end. Very very rude young lady. And I am sending the pictures I took of the open gates on 2 separate days out as well to let the public know there stuff is not secure. I also am putting in a complaint in with OSHA for a few of the workers and Jessica herself walking besides a working crane with sewer pipe hanging and having no vest and no hard hats on. Congrats on scamming us hard working people that have been your clients for over 15 years. Run and find another storage facility! These people are NOT to be trusted!

I stopped in today to look at storage for my business. I was met with an older gentleman (sorry…read moredidn't get a name) who showed us a model of a unit. There was tape on the floor that "mapped out" sizes of units. He stood on the first tape and said "this is a 10x10". I've worked with storage units before and I knew their measurements were off. So I asked for a tape measure and after measuring the taped out 10x10, they were shorting people about 14". It barely came to 9ft. When I asked the gentleman about it he seemed to brush it off. I even said, as we were leaving "you should get someone to change that tape" and he responded "ya, I guess." I also asked to see the units and where the elevator and entrance was. The gentleman said "well they all look like this (the model)" to which I further said "yes I know that. I want to know where in the building the units are located." He seemed put off by that, but still took me around. While the place was clean, the entrance to the secured building was not enclosed, and the carts they offer couldn't hold more than 2 boxes. I'm giving this place 2 stars for cleanliness and overall look, but truthfully, I didn't rent from them because of the gentleman who helped me. I was clearly bothering him by being there.

Steve is a great manager and he knows how to run a business. He is very professional and makes sure you have the information needed to make a good decision. I have had 2 different size units at this location and both have been great. In fact, I had to get a larger unit and he walked me around to the different units, because I am more of a visual person. I had locked my unit, but I did not do the extra step and Steve called me to let me know that it was not correctly locked. If you need a storage unit, this is the place to store your possessions.

They rent on a month by month basis but there was an option to pay for an entire year. While the website says the types of payments they accept does not include CC the manager said they can but they charge the customer the CC fee they would be charged and they let you know that up front. The price is reasonable and it was stated that it only goes up yearly. So as of now I am quite satisfied with the place and a bonus it that it is only a mile a way. Despite what Yelp says about where I am located, I really do live in Aurora, IL

I have been using this facility since it opened, so about 3 years now. I rent an indoor storage…read moreunit and also park my company truck in the outdoor storage area because of HOA regulations where I live. I have a couple of complaints the way CubeSmart operates their business. When you complain about it to the management at the facility, they simply tell you that their district manager makes the decisions and they have no control, so I will share with you why I am unhappy. 1) They lure you in with "special offers" which is enticing. But then they will start raising your rent fairly regularly. That seems to be the corporate business model these days. In the 3 years I've been at this facility my indoor storage has practically doubled. 2) The gates system used to secure the outdoor parking is always breaking. I am a union electrician and I park a company truck at the facility. So if the gate system isn't working, I can't go to work, which costs me nearly $800 a day when you include my hourly pay and benefits package. My biggest problem with this situation is when I talk to the management about it, they tell me CubeSmart isn't going to change their junky gate operating system for me. I had to laugh because when these gates break, it inconveniences everyone because of how the entry and exit system works at this facility. Instead of driving through a couple of roll-up doors like most facilities, you also get routed through the outdoor parking area which has those two (2) pesky sliding gate systems that always breaks. I don't appreciate management making it sound as though I am the only person being inconvenienced, the whole traffic pattern causes the excessive use of the junky gate system. If you want a good laugh, think about their reaction to my request of being compensated for my loss time at work. I never mentioned this previous times, but after having this happen several times, what do you expect. I wouldn't have even asked such a thing if I seen that CubeSmart was making an effort to really fixing the issue. Instead they keep fixing the same junk. Here is another funny one for you. I couldn't get my truck out of the parking area, and they told me they don't know when the gates will be fixed. So I may not be going to work tomorrow either! Lol....I am so done with CubeSmart.

Let me first start out saying I wish I would've rented from James at Superior Self Storage the…read morefirst time around, and here's why. My family and I recently relocated to NC, and we needed a total of 2 trucks over two separate trips, and without knowing I made my first mistake by choosing another trucking company for the first truck rental only because I didn't know about Superior Self Storage at this time. Long story short the truck I reserved from a competitor was not available at the location that was agreed upon, nor the time agreed upon. I lost 5 hours of my time that morning on calls with the vendor trying to locate another truck for me, and driving to a much further location for pickup. I then went and read reviews of this said company and it appears this happens more often than not. Do yourself a favor and go with Superior Self Storage to avoid this unpleasant surprise during very stressful time from happening to you. As mentioned above I needed a second truck to rent, and went with James at Superior Self Storage and rented a 15' truck with a car carrier. The truck was ready at the time and location agreed upon, and James helped load my car on the carrier, and made sure I was comfortable loading and unloading, and strapping down before I left. Next morning we started loading the 15' truck only to find out we needed a bigger truck. I'm sure this has happened to many others before me, and now feeling the pressure of time slipping away I made a call to James who was able quickly locate me a larger truck. All I had to do is swap out one truck for the other. After successfully loading the truck and car I was ready for the drive to NC the next morning. About 9 hours into my drive I had the right rear inside tire blow out on the truck. I pulled over and called James who at first wanted to make sure we were all ok, advised that I need not worry about any costs associated with the tire being fixed as this is a covered item, and then advised that I contact the 800 road side assistance number located on the contract, and that they would be able to help. I did and they were able to assist, and had me up and running again in little over an hour. All of this said I would be happy to use, and refer James and Superior Self Storage again should I ever need their services.
