    Coffee and cheese pie

I finally had a chance to stop here. Very quaint cafe. Owners are so very nice and welcoming! They have a basic menu. If you're looking for a basic sandwich or drink, this is the place for you. No overwhelming number of choices. I had a coffee and cheese pie. The cheese pie was so very delicious. The bread was really soft and there was so much flavor.

Nice story of building their own business after moving from Syria. Owners are very nice. The business provides a welcoming environment. Not a fan of their bread and pastries. News said they got them from a bakery from Dearborn. They need to switch to someone else. Cheese bread is tough, even after you heated it. Croissant has meager amount of fillings and the texture is off. Iced coffee is good though.

I am so glad I can Yelp them, last time I visit I mentioned to the owner to add himself to Yelp. Great Job! Wonderful local coffee shop owned by very sweet people. Coffee is strong and not bitter, pastries are made in the house and not brought in. Place is small and not too much of sitting space, hopefully in a summer time they can bring some outside tables. Great local place, will absolutely come back when in the area.

    Delicious pistachio croissant!

I love discovering new small business coffee shops and this one was quite a find. They've only been there a couple of months, but owner, Fadi, was already calling most guest by name and making everyone feel really welcome and appreciated with his big smile and attentive attitude. The pistachio croissant was so big and delicious and I had a plain latte that had such good flavor! Next time I will try thee soup of the day and maybe a ham and swiss sandwich and I'm sure Chai Lattes are awesome! The location is really perfect... lots of light, set back a ways from the parking lot w picnic tables out front and lights overhead. He really thought about the decor... comfortable, neat and clean and embracing pride in Michigan and America. Will definitely be back!

Main…read moreStreet Café is now more prominently located compared to the last to-go shop, visible as soon as one enters. The café is bright and airy, offering grab-and-go foods and beverages. I was in awe of the variety offered to students. As a college student, I would not have been able to afford most of the items in the pastry and refrigerated cases. I noted the containers of soup and beverages available, even the break-apart cookie dough to bake some cookies for a midnight study break. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough for a friend who later texted me a photo of some of those tasty-looking goodies. On to the pastry case. Oh goodness, I could have one of everything. Instead, I limited myself to the chocolate-almond croissant, maritozzi, and lemon cake. When warmed up, the flaky croissant shattered at first bite and oozed dark chocolate. I loved the sweet and subtle taste of the almond paste. The orange-flavored maritozzi was good. The brioche dough was not as tender as I would have liked, though expected since it was later in the day. The cream center was incredibly light and complemented the overall flavors. I appreciate the school instructing students on traditional items (croissants, biscotti) and trendier-to-me foods (maritozzi). Service was earnest, but given that school had just started, there was a bit of confusion.

Today the stars aligned and I was able to come here to try my first Turkish coffee. I must have looked like a deer in headlights because the owner asked if I ever drank one. When I said no, he further explained how he would prepare it and how to enjoy it. (Coffee grounds are boiled and not filtered so it settles to the bottom of your glass as you finish) I didn't realize I would get a Turkish coffee 101 but I really appreciated it! I'm that yelp nerd after all. I love to learn about culture and I loved my experience here. I had asked why he opened so late 10am/close at 5pm (the desperate mom in me needs coffee earlier and later lol) and he said he also has little ones to drop off to school. So everything makes perfect sense. The cafe is clean and the prices for everything is very very fair. In addition to coffee you could order other things like a scoop of ice cream with espresso, turkey panini for $5.99, boreks (which have spinach, feta and potato) There's also kid juice boxes and snacks like Doritos and Cheetos ($1.50 each) if you decide to come here for a mom and baby date. It's very peaceful and there's even wooden backgammon and chess :) the coffee was very flavorful, powerful, almost like a sweet drip coffee pour without the sour aftertaste like the ones at regular coffee shops. I love mom and pop shops like this. They make me reminisce of my restaurant back when my parents were still working. I will come back again and probably ask for an extra Turkish delight with my coffee :) I hope this review inspires you to visit and support a working dad. I'll accommodate to their business hours. This was a great place to get a strong cup of coffee. I highly recommend it. :)

For some reason, this area is just packed with unique brunch style restaurants and Leeza's is apart of it. Absolutely incredible menu. I love seafood brunch, and this is one of the few places that has shrimp, crab, lobster and salmon available in a variety of dishes. Another item that was unique and incredible was the Potato Pancake Benedict. As someone who is a previous Eggs Benedict addict, but who tries to avoid bread, the Potato Pancake Benedict is one of the best brunch innovations I've seen in the last 3 years. They let you use the modification with any of their Benedict offerings, so I choose to use it on the Crab Cake Benedict. I absolutely loved it. The Crab Cake didn't overdo it on the Cake, and was properly filled with crab (as it should be). The Hollandaise had a great (but not overpowering) flavor and had a nice, thick texture. The dish was an awesome revelation, and I'll be coming back because I don't know anyone else who has it Because I had the Potato Pancakes, I decided to go with the grits as my side and, again, they were unique and high quality. I got the butter and cheese grits and they were incredibly creamy with great, fresh cheese flavor. You also got a great portion, which was much appreciated. The waitress we had was awesome and my coffee was hot, high quality, and filled multiple times. The place has a ton of booths and parking is fine for the most part. This is a spot with so many good menu items that you have to visit multiple times to get the full picture. I'll be updating the review with any other dishes I try.

As others have said, Leeza's is perfect if you're looking for great diner food, flowing coffee, and affordable prices. I absolutely love all of the omelette options and the fact that you can request them to be made fluffy! For some reason, I can only find this in Michigan! I went with a fluffy egg white veggie omelette with caramelized onions, sliced tomatoes and an english muffin. I had all of the coffee and water I needed along with it. My mom had the Greek omelette with caramelized onions and no olives. She had a side of carrots. We both left satisfied... Already wanting to go back!
