My gf and I came here for the first time and loved it. Tried the coffee chocolate gelato and the dark chocolate gelato and both were awesome - hard to pick a favorite! I got the white chocolate raspberry frappe and my gf had a latte. I loved the flavor of mine, and my gf who is an absolute coffee snob immediately said how much she liked her latte. She said it was strong and doesn't need to have an extra shot added like she usually does. The inside was really nice and easy for us to get some work done. The prices were also better than some of the other coffee places around here. We'll definitely come here again. read more

Staff was really nice and friendly, however I got a regular iced coffee, no syrups or anything and I'll be honest it's probably one of the worst I've had. all I did was add stevia, which I typically add anywhere i get one. Coffee tastes sour, which i've never experienced before. Like very sour, not a traditional coffee experience. I think this place is geared towards more customized and dessert type coffee's. This is a very quiet coffee shop off the beaten path in Northville. Food and coffee selection has quite the range (see the multiple photos I've posted) and prices seem more reasonable than their main competitor (Tuscan Sun) down the street. The owner seemed to be the only one working today and unfortunately he was having issues with his cash register which happens, so please know my review rating is not reflecting that. I was a little disappointed with the crepe, it was chewier than it should be and I expected for "very berry" to have more than just blueberries in it. I ordered an iced mocha which certainly lives up to the shop's name "sweet brew" as this was a very sweet syrup. This coffee shop is fine, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to visit, but surely if it is convenient I would stop again. read more

Great white mocha coffee. Chill vibe & very reasonable prices this day in age. Tables to sit at and food and friendly baristas. I think if you pay cash it's slightly cheaper- which is cool to know too. In the summer they have a patio table outside too. Wish more people knew about this little gem! read more

Came here after the management recently changed and the food has an Italian flare now. It seems to be family owned and the employees were really friendly. Pros: good location, nice employees, good food and coffee options Cons: I ordered one muffin and the amount of time for it to come out when it was not busy at all was extremely long for some reason, the muffin was also cold on the inside and warm on the outside-- it also tasted store-bought, which is fine but slightly disappointing Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Love love love the patio, the interior design, the espresso, the crepes, the everything! But the best part is the service.. momma and son, so sweet, friendly (loves to share about her business) and thoughtful! I pulled my hamstring and she followed me to my table w my coffee and brought my food out to me. I'm sure they bring the food out every time but she was really sweet. Perfect for relaxing outside on a beautiful day or inside on a Not so beautiful day. I always appreciate great customer service and creativity in the ambiance and food selections so i wanted to take the time to comment. They also have a reward program for repeat guests. read more

Gluten Free Review: this cafe is my new favorite spot in Downtown Northville! Rita does a great job with making healthy, fresh food taste amazing. She asked me about all of my dietary preferences prior to ordering and made me a delicious Indian curried chickpea wrap based off what I told her. She has so many different options to fit gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and dairy free lifestyles. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone, but especially health conscious people looking for a quick, delicious bite. Aside from the great food, Rita is such a sweet person. She's so kind and genuinely cares about her customers. You'll definitely feel at home in her cafe when you stop in. Note: I am not celiac and do not have issues with cross contamination. Amazing coffee and sandwiches! I loved the interior and staffs were very friendly. Low key, it is a great place to bring your dates.

I would give this place a million stars if I could! The food is amazing, the prices are the best in town, and the PEOPLE are some of the warmest and most generous we've met. It is family-owned in the best way. Sandro, Rosie, and Nonna are like family to us now. The chicken and rice soup is homemade and is totally chicken soup for the soul. We brought our in-laws from Norway here and they were delighted to speak italian with the owners and enjoy the homemade tiramisu and authentic cappuccino. This is a lifelong favorite spot! read more

Love this place! The cafe by itself is aesthetic and clean. The workers were very nice too. I got the very berry crepe which was sweet and delicious. The crossiant was also warms and good. The best however was the mozzarella grilled panini which is delicious! It has cheese and fresh tomatoes and pesto and warmed perfectly. The workers are super nice as well. Called asking if they had seating since there's no pictures of the interior of the cafe. The woman who answered the phone was so rude. She acted like she had no idea what "seating" meant. So I said, "you know, chairs and tables?" and she said, "I have no idea what you're talking about" and hung up! I immediately called her back and she was like, "well, haven't you been here before?" and I said no, that's why I was asking!" Smh My friends and I went and asked for menus. Best coffee I've had in a long time. Strong, full of flavor, not bitter. They gave me a little biscotti with my coffee too. And they were super friendly! Stopped in on a whim after stumbling across an online article feature. Ordered the tandoori chicken wrap and the iced green tea. The wrap was large enough I ALMOST had trouble finishing it, and the green tea with citrus and ginko was suuuper refreshing. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Decor was clean and inviting and the space felt very open. Would be a comfortable spot to hunker down with a laptop for a couple hours since they offer free wifi but it's also a nice spot to just grab a drink if you're on the go. Overall I have no complaints and would definitely reccomend Sweet Brew n' Spice to anyone looking for a gourmet wrap/sandwich or freshly made latte, tea, or other craft drink. read more

Love love love this place! Absolutely so happy that I discovered it. You won't find a more unique or tasty menu anywhere in downtown Northville. The owner makes her own coffee and tea creations that are absolutely spectacular. She uses fresh and organic ingredients for every drink! And she makes you feel so at home in her cafe and always brings out random samples of drinks for you to try that she just created. She closed this coffee shop at 4pm today when it's listed as being open until 6pm. I'm a customer who drove to this coffee shop to buy their coffee and enjoy it inside their shop during their listed OPEN hours. I expected to be notified they were closing right when I entered the shop. Instead, she gladly took my money (and my cash tip), then as soon as I was about to sit down she stopped me to say she's "closing early" because it was a "slow day." That's right folks. TWO HOURS "early" after I made my purchase (and there was another person before me who bought something as I waited my turn). It was incredibly rude and I'm never going back. If you believe paying customers should be treated with honesty and respect instead of being a quick money grab, go somewhere else. read more

Noticed this place as I was walking by, and told my wife about it. Being the specialty latte addict that she is we decided to check it out. Happy to say that we loved the place. I went with an iced white chocolate mocha and she got the iced spiced chai latte and we shared one of the food bowls. All of them were great! Been there twice, called once (all during posted business hours), and no one is around and it's closed up although the "open" sign is turned on.
