We came when they just open so there wasn't a lot of people inside. They have a security guard watching the entrance and he was nice. The kids area is right when you walk inside on the left. They have some toys for the kids to play with but no toys for like toddlers or infants. I just showed my daughter the different books the library has and did some light reading to her.

The library itself is very clean and quiet, the staff are helpful and nice (especially to the kids). The parking does get crowded and it does get very difficult to find a spot. The only issue here is that it's close to the park and it does have some homelessness but again overall safe. Great place to come to, to get some peace and quiet and let the kids explore.

We a large group of visitors arrived there 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon, just 1 hour before the closing of the mission. The front desk girl is very cold and almost annoyed maybe because we get there so late. She also immediately hid away a pack of wet wipes sitting on the desk by the entrance after one of us (assuming it is for public use) took out 1 piece of wet wipe which worths about 1 cent LOL. It is embarrassing to all us in the group who saw it. 2 stars deducted for the bad taste in the mouth.

The facility is extremely well managed and maintained, and you can tell that safety and security are taken seriously, which makes it a comfortable place to spend time reading or working. I'd also like to recognize a staff member named Jacqueline, who consistently greets guests with a warm smile and friendly hello. Her professionalism and welcoming attitude make a real difference. Jacqueline could probably teach a class on customer service--she's that good. This library is a real asset to the community.

Parking is spacious but I did sadly see the charging stations that they used to have here have been permanently disconnected but the machine part is still there. Maybe some day they will bring them back as they were convenient though slow. Inside staff was very friendly and assisted me with finishing the set up for my new card. It only took 5 minutes and now I have my card! I can't wait to start using Libby. I then walked around browsing the aisles and I found a wide selection of different languages which I thought was awesome. There's also plenty of study tables and many public computers. On leaving I looked around the park. I was really pleased because the grass looks nice and green and no foxtails! I saw someone playing with their dog in the field and this made me realize this is a great place to bring my dog to do some training and it's close to me. Because this is a regional branch, this is a busier library than your local branch. There is still ample parking. I was also able to find a computer right away, even though many of them were already taken. I plan to come here more often. Make sure to sign up for a library card if you haven't already. Among many other benefits, it enables you to print up to 25 pages B&BW for free every day! This alone has saved me a ton of money instead of having to go to Office Depot.

This is a smaller library than others I've been to in the area. But they have a good selection and…read morea staff that is knowledgeable and friendly. They're especially great to my 3 young kids. You can tell they're always excited to see young people in eager to read. The location is also very unassuming from the outside. Honestly, I had driven by it dozens of times before even realizing it was there. Out of the corner of my eye, it looked like it was just part of the fire station that's next door. Because of this, if you're not paying attention, you can easily drive by without realizing it. The parking lot is also very small and with tight spots so be prepared to have to park along the street (which is a hill) and walk in. That, or just go during 'off hours' during the weekday if you can to ensure there won't be a ton of people in there. One of the highlights to this location is a large meeting room. They have tons of community events for just about everything under the sun. Be sure to check out upcoming events to see if there is something that strikes your fancy. However, just don't set lofty expectations. I took my kids here for an event (I don't want to call out what it was because the librarian who put it on did seem to have great intentions) that was a total dud. I think it just wasn't planned through enough and or she was just overwhelmed by the rambunctious, loud group of young elementary school kids who showed up. I don't want to say don't take your kids to children events here. Our experience very well could have been a one off. Just set you expectations accordingly. These are events planned and put on by the librarians. They're not experts in any particular field and they are bound by the resources at hand. So, in all, if this is your local library, it's a nice one with a good amount of things to offer. However, if this one is a bit out of your way, I would maybe say just stick to your local branch. Remember, if they have a book here that you want, you can always have it sent to your local brand for free. That's the joy of LA's massive public library system.
