Bobby Foster was the sales person she was working with and he's done an excellent job guiding me throughout the whole process. Always professional and helpful with answering questions in timely manner. This is our first home with a pool and they've done a wonder job with setting up all the equipment and pool app and teaching us how to use everything. Followed up to make sure we understand necessary maintenance of the pool as well. Although the whole process took longer than originally anticipated, at the end we are very pleased with this great addition to our home.

Tropical Pools is building a pool for a new construction next to our home. My first instinct was to decline, but I thought I might be helping out my new neighbors, so I said yes. I told him we are on a well and a reverse osmosis system. He responded they would be using water directly from the well and not the house system. On 13 June 2025, the crew started working and I noticed they were hooked up to the RO system. I told them to disconnect it go straight to the well. They called someone from Elite Gunite and were told to change the hose lines, which they did. About 15-30 minutes later I looked out side and saw that their hose was damaged and water was spraying into the canal behind my house. I went over and showed them the large amount of water coming out of the hose. They changed hoses and continued to work on the pool. I have pictures and videos. Later they came to me and told me there was no water coming out of my well. I told them to unhook it and call their boss. They did, and he told them he would be here in 20 minutes. I told them to stop the job and wait for their boss. He never arrived and they snuck over and reconnected the hose to my irrigation system and finished the job, against my instructions. I called Tropical Pools and left a voicemail. I had no contact information for Elite Gunite and figured since they were the sub, I should talk to TP. No response. I later went to TP's website and sent a message to them. I got a call from Tony. He asked me what happened. As I explained it, he told me to shut up and let him talk. I told him, "I don't work for you and I'll stop when the information is complete." Eventually, we set up an appointment for the companies to come look at the well system on 17 June 2025. At that time David Abraham (EG) and Alex Tiseo (TP) came and determined that the system needed a new valve, which they came and replaced the next day. Still no water. The house system was getting water, but not this particular valve. By the way, when I told David and Alex that whoever called me back needed and attitude adjustment. They asked who I talked to and I told them about the conversation and they IMMEDIATELY said, "Tony." I arranged for my water company to come examine it on 20 June 2025. Luckily, there was no significant damage and all that was needed was the service call. We had already agreed that TP would pay for that service ($125). When it was over I informed both David and Alex that nothing serious had happened and that I would send them the bill. I texted the invoice to David and he asked that I send it to Alex, for payment. He took care of it. Thanks. However, after that I got a very nasty note from Alex accusing me of false information, which was not true and that "before I open my mouth" I should get my facts straight. He accused me of saying they would charge the new owners for a water truck. I actually said, that they should have used a water truck and by paying me $100 they would save the home owners $200-400. I also told them that once I really thought about, I doubted that money would ever make it to the new owners. They informed me they were not going to charge the home owners for water at the 17 June meeting. I took them for their word. I did let the new owners know about the situation. They should know who they are dealing with. I also informed the contractors about how their subs were handling things. The contractor, Porter Contracting, apologized and were not happy with the situation. I never got a thank you for helping them out or an apology for causing problems with the well. So, I will give them a hardy "you're welcome" and thank them for paying the bill (that they actually caused). No good deed goes unpunished. They have a terrible attitude (at least TP does) and the fish stinks from the head down....Tony, to Alex, to the workers on site. I would be leery of both Tropical Pools and Elite Gunite and avoid them. Sorry this is so long.

Would not hesitate to hire this company again…read more The experience from the initial quote, to the ordering process, to the construction... all the way to the final cleanup and even the pool conditioning/curing process was way better than we ever expected. The sales rep, David M. showed up on time and spent a great deal of effort to get complete accuracy of measurements. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. His followup communication was prompt and complete as well. The visit to the showroom in Port Charlotte to pick out coping, tiles and pool surface was easy, though the choices were almost overwhelming. We are really happy with the colors, everything melds together perfectly and really added an upscale feel to the lanai area. Chelsea was in charge of scheduling and keeping us informed. She did a great job keeping up. The construction crews showed up regularly every day, on time and they did an amazing professional job. The tile setters are among the best I've seen (coming from someone who has decades of first hand experience tiling many floors, kitchens and bathrooms). There were some messes out in the yard from the pool re-surfacing, but it was made very clear in the paperwork that would happen, and to expect it. The grass is pretty much completely recovered from the sluice box area now (after about 4 weeks). Overall, all the various crews were very good about cleaning up after themselves and respectful of our property. We appreciated that. Finally they assigned a technician (Max) to maintain and condition the pool as it cured. He too patiently answered all of my questions thoroughly - we do our own pool maintenance and want to keep it tip top shape. Many of our friends have used this company for their pool renovations and all have been happy too. None have had any issues that we are aware of.

First, I want to say when Xavier came, he said no such thing about he was only there to get the AC running. The dehumidifier is attached to the AC unit in the attic so how is this not all connected? And when he came to tell us he got the AC unit running we were told he shut the breaker to the dehumidifier and the AC started running with cooler air. Second, Sunday morning at 6: am I looked at the dehumidifier thermostat on the wall under my AC thermostat to see the Dehumidifier was running. My husband went to look at the breaker to find it was NOT SHUT OFF. Doing my own research on the Aprilaire with all the hot, humid weather we were having the DEHUMIDIFIER probably froze. Especially after it came on Sunday by itself. But was supposed to be OFF. So, it took Abbott Air to respond to us about our dehumidifier almost a week and only because I made my post on Yelp? What kind of customer service is that? Do not make excuses for the weather and your techs being overwhelmed with calls. We should have had a call on Monday as we were told by your customer service department, but we did not. OR you should have had a tech to our house on Monday to look at the dehumidifier. IF at that time we were told a part had to be ordered waiting is something we could accept but being totally ignored, NO. We spent a lot of money on new equipment with Abbott Air 2024 and 2025 up to $14,000. I am not looking for being a special customer with you and I am sure there are many other customers who have spent more with Abbott Air, but when a customer calls and needs service it should be followed through. If a tech is not qualified to fix a piece of equipment, then it should be called in to the appropriate tech and be followed up immediately not a week later. If you sell equipment and install that equipment, then you best better have the correct TRAINED tech to work on it. TRAINING VERY IMPORTANT.
