He spent almost an hour flying around making sure he was getting the angles and shots that I requested. When I was satisfied with the shoot the pilot packed up his gear and departed. By the next day I had all the photos sent to me in the format I needed and the pictures are gorgeous. All the fee's were agreed ahead of time as listed on the website. only been here less for about two weeks but my initial thoughts are very positive. colin the…read moremanager was super upfront addressing any concerns we had about parking, safety and security and the rooms are well-maintained. the restrooms are even clean! the rooms are small but we got a trio and a singer in there with a small PA pretty easily. soundproofing is more than fine unless you are recording and unless the band next door is rocking 100-watt marshalls and an SVT while you are rehearsing for a coffee shop acoustic set. i am talking a 90 sq ft room here. the ventilation is great. AC can get so cold that you can need to put on a hoodie and put your hands in a hand warmer. that's massive especially when you consider how hot van nuys can get in the summer (this weekend it hit 110 degrees or thereabout). 24 hour camera monitoring plus your own specific keycode access to the building (each tenant has a unique keycode which is recorded and tracked) helps with the security. also because there are probably 30+ studios here (all are lockouts) there are always people around. add to that a western bagel which is 24 hrs at the corner and you can at least know where to get a fresh bagel or muffin and coffee, milk or a soda/bottled water if you don't wanna deal with the vending machines there. will update my review in a few months but so far so good.

As I prepared myself to make the next big step in my music career I decided I wanted to learn…read moreAbleton & produce my own music to stand out from the rest. After tons & tons of research to see which music production school would be best for me I finally stumbled across Anonymous Studios! The biggest drawing factor for me was the fact that Anonymous provided students with a 1-on-1 learning environment. For someone who has never even opened Ableton I knew I was going to need all the help and attention I could get, so what better way than your own personal instructor?! After inquiring about the classes they offered I was contacted via phone call appointment by Jessica who would further breakdown all that they offer at Anonymous. She had suggested their 4 month course on Ableton that would cover both mixing & mastering would be the best option for what I was looking to get out of their program. Jessica had even set up an appointment for me to come check out the studios in person & get a tour by the main man himself; Hem, who is sort of the man in charge & oversees the entire studios. After the tour of the studios & an extremely detailed discussion on their courses & the opportunities that would present themself by being a student there; it was a no brainer, I had settled on where I wanted to go to learn Ableton! My overall experience was nothing short of absolutely amazing & extremely insightful. In the four months that I was in the course I learned more than I could possibly imagine. From knowing absolutely nothing on Ableton to composing melodies from scratch, composing full tracks, learning my keys and scale, and also mixing down & mastering my own tracks, it was nothing but an informative learning experience. In that time I had 3 instructors in total, where I spent 90% of that time with one instructor who's name is Morgan. Morgan's vast knowledge of not just the DAW but also synthesizers was something that absolutely blew me away, & only inspired me more to work hard towards my goals. Working on those projects was also really easy considering that Anonymous offers free studio time to its students which is absolutely crucial in this learning environment. One must continually practice what they're learning here or else all the niches & tricks obtained from learning here will only deteriorate. I would take full advantage of this free studio time because the rooms offered here are absolutely stacked with the highest end/best gear for production. I would put myself through 1.5 hours sometimes even 3 hours of traffic to drive here from school all the way from Riverside. So when I tell people this is the only place to go when you decided you want to take your music career to the next level; I mean it. They provide you with all the tools necessary to get you exactly where you want to get to, whether that be music production or DJing. The instructors & staff there are all about one other & truly make you feel like family. There simply is no better place to better than Anonymous Studios.
