Poor hospitality. Staff were very rude. However, we did not let that ruin our fun. Will not be booking in the future. I don't believe this facility should allow parties with all their rules and limitations. They should only allow bookings for choreography dance functions. read more

STAFF ARE THE WORSE, they had a person who stayed inside the entire time and sat next to my mom. what is the Employee office for?? very uncomfortable, the lady kept coming up to me saying its a hard exit. she made it known that despite her being there, her boss is also watching on the camera. I told her that the ESTIMATED capacity was 25 people and 33 people ended up coming. (8 additional people). She charged an additional $90 which was fine but how aggressively they approached me for the money turned me off, Zelle was temporarily down the staff lady watched the alert come up on my phone so I told her lets give it 5 MINUTES and I told her that I would download cash app In the meantime. She comes up to me 2 minutes lady saying that her Boss said to try again. I SAID YOU GUYS ARE PUSHY, lets give it 3 more minutes. Again I was just trying to give it 5 minutes before re- trying and once the minutes were complete it worked. The lady I booked through Stephanie was unprofessional and you could tell she wanted to argue through text so I just ignored her and said Good Bye Dont give those type of people your ENERGY. Staff sat next to my MOM during the entire event instead of going into the the employee office. They need to do better and when we tell them how we feel they need not take offens, instead IMPROVE. read more

At first this spot was cool but NOW i see this place is just about their money. Probably why there was a bad shooting a few days ago, super unsafe and bad energy inside this place. They don't care about the artists at all, engineers don't even wanna be there it feels like. My artist and I dealt with rude, unprofessional and inexperienced kids who run a reshearsal space. A team member opened the front doors 5 minutes late... we arrived early to try and dodge any issues like this. He gave us bare minimum info, even though we communicated that it was our first time. This person had no idea what we were there for, we had to ask for our mic and were able to pry out a run down of the lighting sound equipment from him. Why aren't your team members communicating about who is renting your space? No real privacy. Had random people at the entrance of the room, watching my artist on several occasions. 10 minutes prior to our session end, a team member came and told us we only had 10 minutes. (Yes, I'm aware, I manage my artist and see the giant clock in the corner of the rehearsal room.) Then came back to tell us we only had 5 minutes.... really ready to get us out of there. They didn't even account at the fact that they opened the doors late for us. I tried to speak with the team member who booked us following my artists rehearsal, to formally meet and I was fronted off. Wouldn't even look at me in the eye and treated me as if I was a bother. Then I noticed they were talking with their friends, and it made sense as to why she was rushing us out. After leaving, I was texted by the person who booked me, asking me to make payment.... I had already made payment 1 hour prior to our rehearsal slot. And made sure to include our slot time/date/artist name in the details of my payment... I advise checking your financials before requesting money from customers.. geez lol I just highly recommend booking a space that isn't only catering to their self interest. This location does not operate professionally. If you don't mind rude and mediocre business then this place is for you, if not, book elsewhere. The lower rate may be tempting, but you get what you pay for at this spot, thats for sure. read more

The Spot LA is my favorite location to book for my shoots. I do a lot of social media and YouTube videos and I'm always needing a good location at a reasonable price. The Spot LA is the solution. The location has a cool comfortable vibe. The models and actors I shoot are always impressed with the layout when you enter the building. There's multi-sound proof rooms. The place is air conditioned. Everyone that works there is friendly. And it's always an easy booking as the host responds promptly. I've used this location numerous times and I always look forward to using it again. read more

An absolute utter lack of accountability towards mistakes on their end in regards to time and damage done to our brand due to them double booking coincide with gaslighting the situation and claiming they were doing us a favor have left my associates and I in abysmal disgust. DO NOT USE THE SPOT. If you're trying to have a hard time being in contact with your venue owner, have them respond to text and phonecalls 2.5 days later. If you want NO WAY to get a hold of anyone even in an emergency situation, then go ahead. They were way professional and super in touch when they need something from you, but soon as things are the other way they are no where to be found. I pulled up here last night for the first time on a suggestion (date.) lol The venue is pretty cool but it gets hot inside and the smell is kinda gnarly. The talent is cool but the real star is the MC. He really held the show down and made set changes enjoyable. Also, a lot of lip syncing. This is too early of a stage and platform for you to be lip syncing lol 4 stars for the MC. read more

Everything was great. We a couch with a nice birth and can change the colors so it looks better on small clip we made for a video. Only thing I would say it's HOT AF, AC was on but barley even worked.. I was literally sweating. I would also say there should be a fridge to store some drinks since it's very hot I would want buy some cold drinks to store in there. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! These guys really know how to take care of you! Everyone I know who has worked at The Spot LA had nothing but positive things to say about the team. Previously they were Top Notch Recordings LA based out of Studio City and now they are The Spot LA in NoHo. The new building is awesome! It's clean and comfortable. I feel at home when I'm here. There are two recording studios, two production rooms, a dance studio which serves as an event space as well and a game area. I'm a dancer so I'm definitely looking forward to taking classes and booking the space for my personal rehearsals. it's great that they are OPEN 24 HOURS!!! I work two restaurant jobs so my days are long so it's good to have a space that i can go to late at night if i need to let my creative juices out after work. My new go to spot. read more

Horrible customer service. Takes forever to get any answers on anything! It seems like the engineers aren't trained and may have learned off YouTube. Simple things like copy and pasting a chorus was taking way too long. The double booking is ridiculous and is constantly causing issues. The computer in the A room is always overheating and slowing down recording. They don't offer ANY compensation for time lost. It smells AWFUL and it seems like they try and make up for that with cool lighting but nothing can mask that terrible smell. It's like a home studio that you have to pay for. There are way too many nice studios in North Hollywood than to waste your money on this D level "studio". read more
