Miss representation tied with PHH…read more The original loan was with Sierra Pacific Mortgage. I received an email that had the Sierra Pacific Mortgage logo at the top, and then I used their online portal to sign up for my online account. The top left of the account clearly showed Sierra Pacific Mortgage, with no mention of PHH. I signed up for auto debit and digital statements, and I was under the impression that everything was handled correctly. For the first two months, my payments were successfully auto-debited, and everything seemed fine. However, three months later, I received a default foreclosure letter from PHH Mortgage, without any prior indication of an association with Sierra Pacific. My auto debit had been turned off, and I didn't receive any emails, calls, or notifications about this change. There was also no warning regarding the $900 in late fees I incurred. It wasn't until they reported late payments to my credit report that I began to put the pieces together. They are using every loophole to confuse and not notify customers who are being foreclosed upon before they notice what is going on. They have refused to remove the credit default payments and waive my fees after an hour on the phone, arguing that this is my fault because I should be monitoring my payments monthly out of my bank account, Romeo 9X2.
