I was itching for a martial arts style that was more aligned with my meditation practice and yoga philosophy. Tim has been an excellent teacher, teaching me about the value of beating speed and strength with patience and movement. And how defense is the best offense. Tim's expertise shines through, and I've appreciated the focus on fundamentals and repetition that has helped me feel my body and build reflexes that are applicable for any situation. Also, I'm not gonna lie that it feels badass knowing specific pain triggers on the body and how locking peoples' fingers can cause them to squeal in pain and bend their bodies in compromising positions :) I highly recommend Tim for his expertise, humor, and kind hearted nature. I took a Yoga Sculpt class and the instructor was great. There's water and salt plus yoga mats and towels to rent. My favorite touch was of course the cold eucalyptus towels which were so refreshing at the end of class!

The studio seemed clean and well-maintained. I arrived early to check in so I would have time to get situated before class. Hannah was kind and helpful and her colleague that checked me in (I forgot her name) was friendly too. This location has plenty of lockers where you store your belongings. It is recommended to bring your own mat and towel, so you don't have to rent them. This cost is waived on your first visit. Also, definitely bring a water bottle. They have a fill-up station close to the lockers. Ashley was a wonderful instructor and I thought she did a great job with explaining poses and the pace was comfortable. She was helpful with adjustments and instructions. I will say the room was quite warm and it was challenging at first, but staying hydrated and grabbing a cool towel will help. You can always step out to take a quick breather or refill water, if needed. The locker room is alright, but they only have 3 showers and bathroom stalls, so you may need to wait. Definitely recommend bringing a towel, change of clothes, and a pair of shower sandals. I was totally drenched after class, and didn't want to head out without showering and changing. It was a good workout, and I'd be open to trying out another class or two in the future. Recommend checking out Hot 8 Yoga if you're interested in a class & curious about hot yoga!
