Dr. Nathan Everding is a caring and amazing doctor. He took the time to listen to me about my right shoulder stiffness and extremely painful shoulder. Another Dr. Who couldn't care less at another practice not associated with SOS, miss diagnosed my shoulder issue. Dr. Nathan Everding determined My shoulder was frozen and did not require surgery. I have 95% use of my shoulder back, based on simple exercises recommended by Dr. Everding. Vs. Surgery via other Dr. Office staff is very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Nathan Everding. Ps didn't realize it at the time, my spouse saw him for her elbow. read more

Waste of time. Charged a $50 copay for an xray that was not needed because the MA couldn't convey history. Then refused an order for an MRI because "insurance" I have private insurance and was happy to pay out of pocket. Then refused any management of my weeks long symptoms. Wants me to max out my PT visits before any actual picture of the problem has been established? If you want to be ignored, treated like a drug seeker, and over charged, this is your place. read more

The foot/ankle surgeon who I saw at Heritage Landing didn't even bother to examine my foot or even touch it ! Very strange. Clearly this guy is in the business to line his pockets! Went to Upstate and had much more thorough care and compassion. read more

Dr. Battaglia at SOS is the worst doctor I have ever had in my life. Him and his staff wrote me off with an MCL strain at worst. Spoiler alert, it was a ruptured ACL & fractured knee cap... I was shocked it appeared so minor to them. I could barely walk in the place when I came in. I called back the next week because the pain was more than expected. They told me, "Dr. Battaglia made his decision, you will not be getting an MRI and he will not be seeing you further." That same day. I went to the ER from the pain, they did an X-ray on the spot and said I had a fractured knee cap. They then told me based on some simple tests it looked like my ACL was ruptured. So they got me an MRI. I had a ruptured ACL... just got done with my ACL reconstruction surgery. I am repulsed by this staff at SOS. read more

Updated review: as I learned more about my condition, I had a hip replacement, but my implant was severely overhanging. Clarke chose a size medium for me and After using the research library at SUNY Upstate, I learned that choosing a larger implant results in 26 times more likely the patient will impinge (joint will not bend). But more significantly my implant has severe overhang because it was angled incorrectly. This is called the anteversion, or the retroversion. My cup was sticking out, underanteverted and it rubbed and rubbed on tendons and I couldn't sit down for eight months or so because I had a mechanical hip from the incorrect anteversion and the femur was hitting my pelvis. I had a partial revision of the cup in the pelvis so it wasn't sticking out of my body because the implant isn't supposed to stick out of your body like that. Only to learn later that the stem in my femur is retroverted/externally rotated and that's why my right foot doesn't hit the ground properly. I have one normal leg where my foot face is mostly Forward and now I have a duck foot Due to the positioning of the stem in the femur. It's been catastrophic. I'm disabled now. Going on 3 1/2 3.75 years and I can hardly leave the house. I can't sit down normally. Go to a surgeon where they use three dimensional preoperative, and interoperative measuring so that your leg comes out right and hangs properly and your leg lengths are even and you don't want implant overhang because that metal rim rubs and rubs on your groin tendons. Had a Tendon release and it didn't help because the implant overhang was so severe it kept rubbing on the tendons. I will never recover from this. I am missing the last years and months of my father's life. It's excruciating to sit in a car. It's more excruciating to get in and out of a car. At a time in your life when you want to relax, so what you can socialize, I'm stuck at home from what I thought was a routine joint replacement. Again, I learned after my joint replacement that the cup in my pelvis was sticking out depending on who measured it over a centimeter other doctors measured it at 11 to 13 mm of implant overhang. I couldn't understand why I still had so much pain but when they put your angle correctly, so your foot hits the ground like it did before and mine doesn't. Clarke is also paid by Lima, the brand he installed in me. Lima does not make dual mobility implants in size S. Told by multiple other Drs I was a size S. Go where your surgeon will have a choice of implant brands during your surgery. Research your MD affiliation w medical devices companies- do they make the style of implant recommended and in my case of dual mobility implant was recommended - I found the lima implant manual online and it doesn't even come in a size small. Yes you can install an oversized implant into someone, but you've got to get it inside the pelvis, but the research indicated that oversized implants are 26 times more likely to cause impingement so for the life of myself, I don't understand why the MD would choose to start with a size medium, and someone with very petite bones. But it's not just the size it's the positioning. In my revision surgery, they had to disconnect the psoas tendon from my femur and I've lost a lot of function of my leg. It's very difficult to walk upstairs and I have to pull on my pants to get my leg in a car and it still hurts. It's difficult to get to medical appointments. It's impossible to socialize go out for dinner at holiday events. Sex is out of the question. My foot doesn't hit the ground the same as the other leg because it hangs out to the side a little bit so my foot doesn't hit the ground. If I forcibly put my foot underneath my body, it hits the ground properly but when I walk it migrates out to the side as I fatigue and I'm limping and my back hurts and my neck hurts from the limping. It's been an awful awful dreadful Experience. read more

I needed help due to a very old knee injury which was tweaked when I moved the wrong way a few months ago, and which resulted in extreme pain in my right knee. Going to the ER was not an option as my copay for that is just under $100, so I called the Orthopedic practice I'm familiar with in the area trying to save some time and effort and cut to the chase. Fortunately they got me in in a reasonable amount of time. I was seen by a doctor with a good solid reputation who I was not familiar with but who a friend thought was likely very good. I had x-rays and was told that it was simply Arthritis, as I know I have had Osteoarthritis for years I wasn't surprised, but I WAS surprised at the EXTREME pain in one certain area. After receiving about 4-5 syringes of Cortisone injected into the center of the knee joint I went home and applied Ice packs every 20 minutes or so, alternating with nothing else. Taking Aleve-type pain relievers, applying Voltaren analgesic cream as directed to the entire knee joint, wrapping the knee in compression bandages many hours after the Voltaren application had done its best work, I hoped it would be better when I returned for a follow-up appointment a few weeks later. A few DAYS later, still in extreme pain and unable to walk, I returned to SOS, was given more x-rays, again told it was Arthritis, and told that there wasn't anything that they could do for at KEADT 3 more months since I'd had as much Cortisone as possible and nothing else was available.They suggested that the only other treatment possible might be requesting approval for the injection of the Gel to cushion the joint as nature had originally supplied. Fast forward I learned I'd been approved for the gel injection and was back in the office a week later. It's now been two days since zU had the gel injection and I was told that this is not a procedure that has immediate results for many people, but to exercise patience while awaiting relief over time, and that's what I am going to be doing. Overall, I feel as though I made the right decision arranging to be seen by the Orthopedists at SOS, and I would highly recommend my doctor (Dr Seth Greenky) and PA (Mary) for a good gel injection, and I'm hoping for a good, long term result for quite some time to come! read more

Physical therapists are decent but watch out for the billing. They'll tell you everything is covered by mva then suddenly you're getting collections calls because they ran everything through your regular ins after mva denied you and you own a ton of co pays. This is even AFTER signing and seeing paperwork stating mva approval. It's a total scam. After dealing with phone tag for weeks, they continue to say I owe money and that mva never covered any visits, yet I was NEVER ONCE asked for a co pay or made aware of one. Absolutely horrible "bedside manner". I came in with neck issues and in order to explain how painful it's been and how much it's affecting my daily life I explained I can't even sleep at night. The doctor, or PA, whoever, scoffs at me and says "we don't give out sleeping pills here" as if I was just trying to score some pills! I've never taken a sleeping pill in my life and that's not what I was looking for. I can't believe these people are in the medical field. I have to think they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for these people. All they do is recommend physical therapy, collect their check, and move on with their day. Waste of my time. read more

Place is a joke, if your not an athlete or elderly they just don't care. The SOS medical facilities are too big and money hungry to give a damn about the average working class. Went for neck arthritis..told me it's because of my age...wasn't even 40 at the time...Went for hip pain..Dr Murphy...your so damn charming..NOT! was told both hips look fine...only had ex-rays on one hip....hmmmm...Went for shoulder pain, got sent to a hand doctor and was told I have carpal tunnel in my NON dominant hand...never have had hand or wrist pain...too many bad experiences! Very shady business practices. I was told the insurance coverages for a cast and was surprised by a bill nearly 4x the quoted amount. The billing supervisor told me it was my fault and that there were no notes on my account. Don't trust anything they tell you as far as billing. I was seen by the physician twice and discharged with no further follow up or care. My return to work note has the wrong side listed for restriction. All you are is a number and a dollar sign. Craig Hanifin, PA, is not just incompetent, he's a flaming a-hole. He actually started yelling at me that my symptoms were impossible. No, you're a terrible diagnostician. He didn't look at me body, he didn't touch anything, he just just asked me a couple questions then literally raised his voice and yelled "what you're describing is impossible." If someone treated you like that at Wegman's, they'd be fired. I am not sensitive, I don't go around writing mean reviews. This guy is terrible. read more

Fast food medicine! Horrible. You can't reach staff, tons of people in the office and none seem happy which reflects to the patients.
