The vet assistant kept ignoring me or telling me that she was pregnant after telling her that my cat is spayed and was pushy about it. Then on my last visit there, as I was waiting to take my cat into her appointment, the staff was yelling and berating another client and arguing with them in front of a full lobby of clients. The client who was being yelled at and berated was just asking to reduce the $15 charge for an entire nail clipping/trim since they only clipped/trimmed 1 claw and not an entire service. Then after my cat's vet appointment, I contacted the staff asking about giving my cat her antibiotic through a shot since NOTHING was working to give her the antibiotic in pill form, and the woman I spoke to said in a VERY rude and condescending tone "um, no. It's an antibiotic, they don't come as a shot." This was either a flat out lie or sign of being uneducated because for one, my parents always get my animals back home their antibiotics in shot form, and a quick google search for my cat's specific antibiotic in shot form said it does exist and can get it at any veterinarian office. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT taking your pets here. Don't waste your money, time, sanity, or effort on this place. The veterinarian himself being the only person with dignity and respect at this office is not worth it.

They kept him for 3 days, I was told "dehydration", sent home with crazy expensive food that he barely picked at, and I watched him RAPIDLY waste away in the comfort of my own home, where he passed away with me 2 nights after I brought him home. Moving forward - got a new dog. She's small and feisty, but as long as you respect her bubble and earn her trust, she warms right up to anyone. I was at a shared appointment - my mom had her dog, and I had mine - same room, just to have a quick thins done for both. While My mom's dog was being treated, Dr. Shlenker came in unannounced, walked right over to my dog who was facing me on my lap, and jabbed her with a shot - no notice. My dog LOST IT. The entire thing was HIGHLY unprofessional. Not to mention, when we were greeted initially, it came with a lot of attitude and absolutely NO effort to help my "more than vocal" jack russell comfortable in possibly another area. Since they moved - quality in care has TANKED. Prices have gotten absolutely OUTRAGEOUS, so for the horrendous cost (of ANY treatment/food) paired with absolute GARBAGE care..........we are SOOOOOOOO DONE. My family has been going their for years - maybe had 10 pets there over the years? I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to them now. They run like a careless factory and nickel & dime you for the most ridiculous things. I've actually spoken to several other PAST customers recently who shared similar stories about pets getting horrible care, randomly dying, employees being heartless and mean. I will NOT be back. And I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY encourage anyone else to spend time looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other vets in Lincoln that offer far superior care & pricing. Clocktower has lost the pot. I then called and asked to speak to her vet, when he had time, and received a phone call from their manager who was nothing short of condescending and rude and dismissive and was not allowed to speak to my vet regarding the health of my pet. I would suggest finding a place that understands they are taking care of a family member and not constantly trying to upsell meds/acupuncture and keep your pets sick and coming back.

During our 2nd opinion vet visit, the vet recommended Dr. Cerny, noting that she would take her own dogs to him if she needed an excellent vet. Since moving to Yankee Hill, I have a new dog! She went from having times where she didn't want to move to running and playing again (combo of acupuncture, laser, and getting her on the right meds). I get the pleasure of hanging out with the vet assistant and tech team during treatments and EVERY SINGLE ONE person I have encountered has been amazing. My experience with Yankee Hill has been night and day compared to other vets. We moved our other dog's records over the Yankee Hill and I plan to never go anywhere else. I am beyond thankful that Dr. Cerny was recommended to us. 20 stars for Dr. Cerny and the entire team at Yankee Hill Vet.
