Our food was so flavorful and delicious! We were looking for a Mediterranean restaurant, and this was described as Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. We decided to try it and we're glad we did! I got the chicken knish, my husband got the chicken kabob, and my son got the chicken shwarma. The server told us the food will take a little while as they make everything fresh. We all were very happy with our meals! Generous portions for a great price. This place is a hidden gem that I don't know why it's not busting out the seams. I ordered a chicken Shawarma sandwich. An order of grape leaves an order of their chicken shish and their beef shish and I have been able to meal prep for 4 days plus have a good lunch. I walked in at about 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon, and a young kid greeted me and went over the menu with me. The ambience is very clean straightforward nicely decorated. An Arab neighbor had recommended this place a while ago and I have been craving it ever since. He told to make sure to go on the weekend when they have their signature buffet. The place is completely unpretentious, decoration is simple, but the food does all the talking. I started out with some delicious falafel, hummus, tabbouleh and baba ganush with some pita bread. I then went for the kebab and the rice with lamb, omg this was so goodddd!! I ended filling my plate no less than 3 times. The food on the buffet Friday night included the best eggplant purée or dip served w pita I ever had! Hummus on the salad bar was also fresh and garlicky. The best part is they offer All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) on Fridays/Saturday/Sunday which is the best way to take advantage of most of the food they offer. Aside from those days, they offer their regular menu items. And if you are planning to come eat at Syriana Grill, come here very hungry, be prepared to feast and fill that belly with goodness. Yelp does not usually let me down, so when I read all the great reviews on this restaurant and it's buffet, I was excited to give it a try. I was greatly disappointed. The buffet was not that good. There wasn't muçh variety, and it tasted like it had been there since lunch. We ate at 6:30pm. It was so tasteless and cold. I will never return to this place. Definitely not worth the 4 stars it was given. Next time I'll stick to my regular Mediterranean go-to. The food wasn't even worth photographing. read more

I knew we were in the right area so I yelped and you didn't fail me! This is hand down the best tasting Mediterranean I have had since the original "HALA cafe" owners retired in early 2000's. The buffet had all the good stuff including super fresh tabouleh! I'll go into more on that but first I'll tell you that I didn't get many pictures because I joined the clean plate club! There was Kabob and fresh Dolmas, chicken schwarma, a wrap with lamb and chicken marinated so well you didn't need to dip it in babaganoush but....I did! Hummus and chickpea soup, fresh pita and cucumber salad. Oh, and now more about the tabouleh, It's been so long since I've been able to eat out and get tabbouleh. Many of the faux med gyro and that chain Cava don't even have it on the menu because you have to make it fresh and can't buy it in bulk from the restaurant supply. Lemon, oh the flavor of the herbs and oil with the lemon was all that I could hope for. The owners have really made this place special. IF there is anything bad to say it is this. I found out they have been open now for about 2 years and unless I had been told it was there, I would never have known. The restaurant is almost invisible while driving down the street. Now for the GREAT. The service is amazing. We were met by a young man whose name is YMAN (forgive the spelling) and he is a pleasure. He is present enough that if you need anything he is there but not to the point of being overwhelming. The FOOD. One our first visit we at from the dinner menu and the portions were very nice. My wife had the chicken sheesh and I had the lamb sheesh. We had enough to bring home a meal for the following day. Today (Friday) we returned and enjoyed the buffet. I wont ruin anyones idea of what should be on the buffet, but there was a great selection. Again, WOW. I cant say enough about how good it was. We will return. read more

Overall, Syriana may have just made us the best Middle Eastern food restaurant dinner we can remember in Jacksonville. It on St. Augustine Road. Everything was great and among the meats the chicken, fish and lamb were particularly awesome. Baba Ganougj, hummus, falafel, cheese appetizers, & salad - all top notch. The restaurant is sort of new and it takes a little time in the restaurant to get your food, but everything is really fresh and has incredible flavor. Give them a try if you can. This restaurant is fairly new and it's great! The food is tasty and is displayed in a very appealing form! The Hummus and egg plant was excellent! They had plenty on the buffet even though I got there about 1 hour before the buffet was going to be closed down! But the owner didn't rush us! They had different dishes including Gyro and grape leaves and Tabbouleh! They all were very fresh and tasty! I even asked the owner if I could get some bread and she brought us some! The buffet even had a soup and a big pot of rice with different types of dishes you can mix with the other dishes! They had fresh fruit and two different desserts and even tea! We will go back but maybe earlier! They aren't too friendly but you do get excellent tasty Arabic food! And they aren't pricey like other Arabic restaurant in the area! They are fairly new but they have excellent food! The bathrooms and restaurant is very clean! The ONlY thing I hate is, they started cleaning and passing the broom as we were finishing up our dinner!
