Ordered takeout from Uber Eats. The food was ok! I really liked the rice, hummus, and dunya salad. However I found the meat to be a bit dry - the beef more so than the chicken. Whenever we're in Orange Park, we try to stop. My husband is part Persian and he thinks the food here comes very close to the real deal. The food is packed with flavor. We usually get shawarma but have tried other things and have never been disappointed. The staff are great and helpful. There's plenty of parking and if you call ahead, they even have a drive through. Came into this place for a working lunch, and am so glad I did! The indoor ambiance is more inviting than what the outside presents to the eye. They have so many imported goodies for all tastes, medjool dates, baklava in two different varieties, and a nice selection of nut and fruit filled cookies. I was able to get my food pretty quickly and ate peacefully while enjoying the radio selection they play over the television. I would highly recommend this place to smaller parties seeking some halal goodies and warm service, the workers are patient and hospitable. The mixed grill plate was decent, however, I did not favor the flavors of either sides I ordered. The hummus was fairly bland and the style of the grape leaves was a surprise. Food- great seasoning. Flavorful and tender. The mixed grill meat was delicious. The meat pie was delicious however, if the stuffing (lettuce and pickles) were on the side I would've loved it more. It was very tasty though. Service- called ahead and they had the food hot and ready in under 20min. Kind and friendly. Price- the price for the amount of food is good but would've liked it better if it had some add-ons like hummus or garlic sauce just something to dip the food in. It's a small business that has quality food near my house. I will continue going there because it's worth the short drive. They are in a standalone building so it's got great parking. There are many options and ultimately, we ordered some stuffed grape leaves, and appetizer combo, and a meat combo. This order could have easily fed 3-4 people, but we wanted to try a number of items and didn't mind leaving with leftovers. The grape leaves were served cold, which I didn't expect. An order came with a ton - I think 8 in total. I'd say good not great. The appetizer combo came with hummus, babaganoush, tabouleh, and the house salad (along with a side of pita). The platter was great. The tabouleh was especially fresh and tasty. The meat combo came with an assortment of their chicken and beef options, including some on skewers and some meat that was seasoned and shredded. It all tasted great to me, especially the shredded meats which must have had cinnamon in the seasoning. The restaurant itself, although clean, is a little old and weird inside. Yesterday was my first visit to this place and it was amazing! It's a small place that doesn't really catch your eye from the outside, but I saw the great reviews online and decided to give it a try since you can't find a lot of Mediterranean spots in this area. We walked in and ordered at the counter- the meals are numbered with photos on a large board to help you choose. We ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap, Chicken Shishkabobs with rice, and a side of the stuffed grape leaves. The food was brought out to our table within 10 minutes and was plated really nicely. Everything was really fresh and cooked to perfection, from the chicken to the rice. The seasoning was on point- not too heavy and perfect amount of spice on everything. We love trying new food spots especially if it's experiencing different cultures food. The staff was very pleasant and informative. We inquired about tzatziki but they don't use milk products ( tzatziki has yogurt) but they use tahini more of a seed based sauce. They informed us they are Kurdish and want to keep the food authentic which we appreciate. The chicken shawarma on rice was great and the hummus and Pita were sooo fresh. Also the baklava -pistachio and walnut both were fresh and crispy. We also tried the Dunya fries , they're covered in seasoning and tahini - probably would skip those next time bc they were a little dry and I don't prefer tahini. I would have enjoyed them more if they offered ketchup . We also ordered another dessert but took it to go (not pictured) all awesome. We have passed the place hundreds of times and never stopped because of the location. It's just not the best area , Blanding in Orange park ( if you know you know ). Wow I was pleasantly surprised with the meal I had at Dunya! As a pescatarian who eats mostly vegetarian/ vegan, this place had tons of veggie options and it all was so fresh & tasty! I didn't see any social distancing or mask wearing whatsoever in the restaurant from staff or patrons so I was already a little hesitant. The staff is very friendly and prices for some items are pretty good, while other items seem over priced. I guess it depends on quality and serving size. My wife ordered the falafels and I ordered a lamb shawarma wrap. The wrap was tasty and an decent size. Not too big and not too small. The falafels come out on a white plate and in a generous portion. These are definitely a different recipe than what I am accustomed too, but I found the taste interesting. I am not sure if it was bad or good, but it was different. There is tons of free parking around and they have a drive-through although it wasn't clear if it was open or not. Overall, I felt like this place is okay. Definitely not worth driving out of your way for, but had some nice items and it helped that the cashier was nice. read more

However, service was very slow. My Dad already fell asleep and I was about to fall asleep waiting for our orders. There were a couple of customers that came in and they got theirs ahead of us. I've been missing Middle Eastern food since moving to Florida, we took the family out for lunch and this place Hit. The. Spot. The lamb Kebab plate was a huge portion (leftovers are always great), the lamb was seasoned well and not overcooked. The grape leaves were a wonderful surprise, I've not had them before, and when I noticed they were a chilled item I was admittedly caught off-guard, they were sweet and refreshing, definitely something I'll be reordering soon.
