Don't ever use this CPA firm. They nickel and dime you for everything and then when they take too long to file a return, they charge you for the extension. They are very disorganized and are not upstanding. I would not recommend them to anyone that has a complicated tax return or needs any other type of CPA service. Three stars just to get someone's attention. There's a good chance you will get audited. I was, so was our friend who referred us to him. Not only were we audited, we had to fix all the mistakes he made. No help in figuring out either. Very dismissive and rude. That was our first experience. The second experience was the following year, where we received a letter from the IRS and learnt that he never submitted our paperwork. I do recall him promoting some gambling business that takes place on a ship. I have a feeling that is the same business scam someone else is referring to. Doing my own taxes now. No issues. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. Beware! This company nickels and dimes you for everything. Craig Szabo came as a referral to us from a tax attorney we dealt with when we sold our business last year. Upon speaking with him back in late 2023, he assured us that he would work with us personally on our tax return. However, I guess we were not big enough fish in the sea for him as he pawned us off to his so called EA Robertino who proved to be extremely inept. We told Craig in our inital conversation with him that we wanted to work with a CPA due to the magnitude of our tax filing. Then he sent us a bill for a 20 minute conversation we had with him and then stuck us with Robertino. Robertino took forever to file our taxes and then had the nerve to file an extension and stick us with a large filing fee in addition to the $8000 tax bill we received. Even after the taxes were filed, and at this point, we have doubts that they even did the filing correctly, they continue to send us bills. We will never use them again. This has been the worst experience of our lives. read more

I've been working with Szabo Accountancy for about 3 years now. The Szabo team has been incredibly attentive in working with my small business and helping me to navigate our finances. Horrible personal experience with this company. Poor communication, greedy, condescending, elitist attitudes, will almost invoice you for just driving by their office. Have had to pay literally thousands of dollars to a competent accountant to correct Szabo's numerous mistakes. I'd suggest staying far away.
