Unit went on the fritz. Was told they wouldn't come out unless I purchased the plan for $375. Since under warranty, I felt I had no choice. I was told they would do the routine service and investigate the issue w no additional charge. I commented to DUSTIN that I was glad that he shared that fact with me because I thought I'd fall over if I were presented with a bill for a relatively new unit and being strong armed into purchasing the "Care" plan. He chuckled. Today, I received an invoice for $100 labor and $79 for a blown fuse and 30 amp contactor. So, ASTROID charged me ($375 + $163) $538 to repair an issue on a system that was installed LESS than 3 years ago. To be fair, I did call and voice my upsetment with the entire situation. Nada. Make your own decision but im telling you upfront that the "Customer Care" plan is $375 and they wI'll NOT fix the problem without your having it and then they charge you to fix the problem. Just sticking to the facts here because I CARE. Also, the technician said the word "fuck" multiple times while servicing the unit. Nice guy...not so nice mouth.
