He hit my skin twice with the nail drill, and got mad at me two times for smudging my polish when he was the one who pushed my hand into the plexi glass, and hit it with his finger. Worst nail salon experience of my life. I've been getting my nails done for a very long time and the last year have been getting dip/powder on my natural nails. I recently moved to this area and decided to try a new salon because taking the hour long ride back to my other salon is getting tough. Salon looks nice it's in a convenient location next to a truchis where I sometimes grab groceries. I wasn't surprised when the lady doing my nails initially tried to get me to do a pedicure too but then twenty minutes later tells me I need my eyebrows cleaned up and that they'll do it in the back. I looked at her confused and explained I got my eyebrows threaded yesterday and I'm all set and then she looked back at me as though I was crazy. Of course once again I wasn't too surprised but now I'm getting a little annoyed not to mention how aggressively this is lady is doing my nails. She was using the drill that spins, I'm not sure what it's called but typically used for acrylic nails, and was using it to get rid of my cuticles.. I don't even know what she was doing but it hurt a lot and I stopped her and explained that. She seemed shocked and asked why I didn't say anything sooner... I left there with a terrible manicure and a few of my cuticles bleeding but I'm so angry I just wanted to leave so I go next door to cool off and get groceries but then I look at my nails and see that the dip and top coat were uneven and look awful. I decide To go back in the salon and explain to the man at the front door what happened. He says he's sorry and that someone else will take care of me. I explain to him that I don't have time now because I have to go to work and I would just like my $38 back and to go somewhere else at this point. He says he can't give me My money back and kept repeating "we will take care of you". I explained I was taken care of poorly and that won't work for me again.... not to mention three days later a nail is already chipped. This is by far the WORST nail job I've ever had. Not only am I still in physical pain a whole week later, but every time I look down @my hands I'm reminded of the torture and the fact that I actually paid for it. I'm here out of town. Desperately in need of an acrylic fill with gel polish mani. (Btwn visiting family, working remotely, a wedding, 3 bdays, boating and camping I could not risk my 3 wk old perfect nail job. I knew my options were slim but this place came as a strong recommendation. I called on. Tuesday afternoon; a man answered and I asked him if they could accommodate me and when, he rushed me off the phone declaring if I got there right away, I would be serviced by the best nail tech they had; Nancy. I packed up my work; husband and 2 kids and headed over to chk the place out. It's in a big plaza next to Papa Gino's and CVS. The shop itself is nice looking. Updated decor, newer massage chairs and from a quick glance looks clean. I met my nail tech and felt comfortable enuf to send my family on the bday gift run while I got my nails filled. Huge mistake. My nails were perfect in every way when I got there besides the grow out.. I explained this to her and she confirmed she would make them "beautiful" and expressed many times over that she knew exactly what I wanted. She was way off. She butchered my nail beds. I'm still in shock that there was no blood. She drilled my actual fingers, nail beds and cuticles more than my actual nails. She did not clean around the grow out. She left the rings around them and just filled on top of it. A poor job of it as well. Some nails she filled all the way under the skin, others she left huge gaps almost as much as the fill line I came in with. Every single nail was a different size, shape and texture. Some were making a sharp right, some a sharp left! I was floored. I couldn't believe she was proud of this mess. I mentioned a few times how disappointed I was and called out a few yelps as she burned my skin; I even waited til she was "done" & ready to polish before asking her to hand me the nail file. I fixed as many as I could on my own. It was a lost cause I thought until she started polishing. (Btw; she chose the polish for me insisting the polish I had chosen wouldn't look good) OMG. She laid on the polish thick! Gel polish goes on thin, everyone knows it doesn't dry if it's too thick. She forced me to keep my hands in the machine 2-3 times on 60 secs each coat!! I was very concerned. Every time I removed my hands , she said "put inside". No one has ever had me keep my hands in for that long and I'm not even sure the machine was LED vs UV. My hands haven't been the same since. They are dry, itchy and wrinkled. -as for my manicure, polish was everywhere. All over the nail, finger, front of my hands and palms. The polish was lumpy and there were lots of bubbles and in even strokes. She completely missed the sides of most of the nails as well. She got up all content and I stayed seated to sulk. When she came back to chk on me, I asked if she could at least clean up my hands. She agreed. It wasn't just polish on my hands, it was actual acrylic as well. Messy job. The worst ever. Save your time. Save your money. Frustration and embarrassment. They were empty for a reason. This place is a disgrace. I asked for the "owner", I showed him my hands, he replied " Beautiful". I wished them good luck and left. Before I was out the door all the polish was smudged. It never dried. I'm done. Update. Thumb nail broke. One week since fill and only 2 days before my flight back home where I was hoping to get fixed. I guess I should be happy they lasted this long. read more

I've been going to this spa for approximately 3years. And I'll also travel to their Foxboro location too. I make an appointment with Tony every 3 weeks. He does an amazing job with my nails which are naturally very thin due to migraine medication. He is meticulous and very gentle to my natural nail, all while giving me the perfect amount of length/shape with a powder manicure. Picture this.. You find yourself needing your nails to look fairly presentable. You could try to paint them yourself, but you've met 2 year olds with a steadier hand than yours. The place you used to go to before you moved is almost an hour away so you decide to try something new. The above scenario is when you try this place. It looks clean, the massage chairs work, the prices are decent and you will probably look half way decent when you come out. Do not come here if you are looking to relax, expect a mini foot/hand rub and you are willing to put down the magazine so that you can focus on the grunts and barely noticable body language coming from the tech so you know to put your foot back in the water. Bottom line, my nails look decent. It was $35 and I got what I paid for. I've paid the same and got better service at other places, but maybe those places have the guts to want a returning client base. On the way out, I did notice that they have different types of mani/pedis, but was never offered them. Hot stones sound nice right about now.... Oh well. read more

Never have I ever been to a salon that's more rude and incompetent when it comes to staff. I walked in wearing capris as it was a warm day and I don't do shorts because I am self conscious of my legs. Upon sitting in the chair, the girl criticized me for not wearing shorts and told me next time to wear shorts. I nicely told her the above and she rolled her eyes and then turned to another employee and started talking in her native language. I felt like I was being ridiculed by both women. Upon finishing my pedicure, I was told I was "all set." Went to back room to get my brows waxed. Upon coming out of room. My toes on my left foot big and baby got smudged. Once again, the woman who did my pedicure shamed me and told me I should have sat longer to let them dry. The same woman who initially told me I was all set. She reluctantly repainted them and once again started conversing in her native language with the same employee leaving me feeling like I was once again being talked about. I assumed she used the same color to fix the smudged toes and when I got home noticed it was a completely different shade of red. This is my second time going here. I had gone once the month before and found them to be a bit rude but chalked it up to maybe to they were having a bad day. I'm always willing to try a place a second time. Wish I hadn't. Talk about a bad experience! I left this place more stressed out than when I arrived. I'm pretty sure getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing experience. After having my cuticles brutally plucked and being told that I picked two old nail polishes off their shelf (take them off as options if they're old!), I had wax dropped in my hair and hand lotion dropped on my cellphone! Oh and part of my hair accidentally waxed off because it was "too close" to my eyebrows. In case you're wondering if they offered a discount or any service to "make things right," the answer is "no." Went in for a gel mani. Felt rushed from the word go, as the guy hovered behind me waiting for me to choose a color. Then he argued with me about my desired nail shape, complained to me about the state of my cuticles, and was very sloppy with the polish application (bubbles everywhere and gel polish all over my cuticles). When I asked him to stop and address the bubbles, he said "when I put the top coat on, they will go away". Well, they didnt, but by then I was so fed up that I just wanted to get out of there. I left a $5 tip not because he deserved it, but out of obligation. He sneered at me as I handed it to him. well, I went back to T & C with my daughter today,,, 5th pedicure for me and 1st for her. Danielle is from Quincy so does not come down this way at all to get her pedicures... she loved the back message machine and the warm foot wash along with all the scrubbing of that god awful dead skin... she commented on the sweet girls who waited on us... the lotions they used all the colors they had... we did not smell any pizza either... She said that she had never been to any place nicer... Sold customer... and I am just as satisfied if not more so. I am 72 and have a bad knee... I was helped (without asking) to a chair while my pedicure dried... One girl held one arm while the owner held the other so I would not fall... Please do not listen to the negative reviews... I have never been to a nicer place and either has my daughter... we will be back!!!! My favorite nail salon......I have been going to the T & C Nail Salon for years so I am very surprised to read some of the comments on this site. I , as well as many of my friends that I have referred to this salon, would disagree with many of the negative comments. The customer service far exceeds many salons that I have visited. Most of the staff will acknowledge me by name with a smile when I arrive. Andy, who owns the salon along with his wife Kim, always engages in conversation with their customers.....quite honestly, it's the customer service that keeps me going back! I have never left with "bloody cuticles" as described with one post. I enjoy a relaxing pedicure monthly and along with my conversations with Tina or many of the other techs such as Hann or Joan. And for the person that said it smelled like pizza from Papa Gino's, you must have a very strong sense of smell as the restaurant is two doors down from the salon? Got my nails done here yesterday and Im so disappointed. If I wasn't in a rush I would have made the girl fix them. I had originally got them done somewhere else and they were perfect!!!! But the girl at this place just butchered my nails . Some of my nails are rounded while some are square while some are crooked . The nail polish is uneven and very lumpy..Ive gone here before and never had an issue until yesterday I was extremely disappointed. My nails are lovely after going there. They are affordable. What surprises me is that their massages are so good. I live close and first went because they could fit me right away and I had back pain. The massage was as good as the ones at much more expensive places. The room was comfortable and soothing. I've been three times with two different people. Both were great! I don't think they get a lot of massage requests and they have always fit me in within 3o min of the time I call. read more

Personally I've been here a lot of times, and only once was I dissatisfied, and when I told them they redid it and it came out just as I wanted it. It all depends on what you expect going into a nail spa, if you went from paying $50 dollars to a manicure to this one, obviously it's going to be a different quality, but for the price, I think it's pretty great. read more

I took my two nieces here to get their nails done before the school year started as a treat! It seemed decent so I figured why not! It was HORRIBLE! I don't write reviews normally, but this was by far the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life! There were no sanitary wraps in the foot bath, I did not get a massage, there were not hot stones, the only things that were put on my legs were a scrub and a lotion. Anywhere else I have gone provides, a clean spa, oils, scrubs, lotions, several different washes, paraffin wax, hot stones, a ~10 minute massage, and more. I asked for my nails to be cut short, she barely tipped them, she got the polish all over my nails, and while painting would stop, cut a piece of one of my nails creating a hang nail and painted over it. I told her it didnt come off and she said she knew and proceeded to paint it. Now my youngest niece had her toes done and her pedicure took a total of 15 minutes! I get she's little, but come on!! She was so excited for this and they totally gipped her!! Then they did polka dots on her big toes which I had no problem with because its 6 little dots on each toe (only the big toes) and the kid pedicures normally come with it. Well when the check came they charged the full $25 for her when the kid was $20. It was very clear the kid messed up and was talking to his coworkers and didn't want to have to do a refund so I was going to tell them to take the $5 and put it towards the tip. Well then another girl came over and said that it was $5 for the design. THAT WAS NOT A DESIGN! It was freaking polka dots! And it was a kid pedicure. Then as she walked away she muttered "you'll just have to understand" because she knew it was wrong. The lady sitting across from me even said that was wrong as it was a childs pedicure. They clearly did not want to do a refund. My other niece had a manicure which took MAYBE 10 minutes. Some of her nails didn't look like they had a second coat and the polish was all over her nails. If my nieces hadn't been there I would not have tipped due to how horrible the experience and service was! I will NEVER go back here and suggest others who are looking for a clean place that won't rip you off go else where! read more

I tried calling the salon prior to visiting. I asked if they did SNS Dip gel nails and was told they did. Drove 15 mins to the salon, walked into the salon which was busy and was asked what I was visiting for. Informed the staff I was there for a dip gel, was asked to sign in and have a seat. The nail tech let me know they did not have the color I had on my nails, only to find out she meant they had no colors at all, only pink and white. I was surprised as I wasn't expecting to have a french but figured I had already made the trip. The tech then picked up an artificial nail tip and was about to start using it as a tool to remove my existing dip gels. Every other salon I have ever been to soaks them off with acetone and cotton. When I asked if she could do that she sighed and told me to pick out a color instead of proceeding with the dip gel. It was apparent to me they only told me they had dip gel to get me in the door. Who even rips off nails that are super glued to existing nails? Isn't that something they stopped doing in the 90s? I did not have my nails done here and I will never be visiting this salon again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! if there was an option for ZERO stars I would select that! I've only ever gone here because it's so close to my house and open on sundays. They are always rough on my hands and feet but do a fairly decent job UNTIL this past sunday was all I could take. I got a spa pedi and came out with not one, not two but THREE abrasions on my feet. One on my ankle from the pumice stone (um hello why is the pumice stone even NEAR my ankle) and she dug in so deep with the nail file that she cut into the skin on two of my toes. My feet were so painful the next day that I could barely put my shoe on and had to modify my cardio work out because it hurt so bad. I decided to go back to the salon and ask for my money back. They said no but that they would "fix my pedicure" HELLO? how are you going to fix my broken skin I asked. I insisted on my money back and they insisted no so I told them I would never go back and would put as many reviews on the internet as I could. Facebook is next. I went there this past Saturday for my appointment. They were slammed but I expected the same service and experience I would've received had they not been so busy. My nails are weak and though they grow fast they break very easily. With my engagement party approaching I was looking to get either acrylic overlays to protect my nails and help they stay strong or Gel Mani. I asked the tech her opinion and she said Gel Mani was better so with her being the expert I went with her advice. Needless to say I was done in 15min, she couldn't be bothered to take her time and do it correctly therefore my Gel polish is already peeling off 2 days later!! I've had Gel before and this is NOT suppose to happen. The fact that she just didn't want to take the time and either do the Gel correctly or put the acrylic overlay over my nails really peeves me as I am a paying customer. That was $30.00 wasted and I will not return. As a comment mentioned already, they also tried to use a cuticle cutter on my cuticles that already had skin in it, I asked her to go get new ones before she touched me. How gross! Ugh. Probably the worst pedicure I've ever had. Painful. The scrub brush they used on the bottom of my feet was like the hardest sandpaper block, and then when they finished doing that (torture) they dumped the block with the dead skin in with my feet in the water - gross! Then the scrub substance they used after was equally painful. Cheap, cheap, cheap tools and products from the dark ages. Nice people who work there but I felt like they should have paid me for the experience....Not a spa like experience at all and price was same as anywhere else. read more

I have been here before and got decent service. However, after my most recent trip I will not be back. The woman that did my nails was very rude. She was more concerned with text messaging than completing my mani/pedi. It was super annoying to pay for a service and have her stop every 10 seconds to stare into her draw or lap to read a message and reply. She also used her hand to dip into the foot exfoliant- that is just dirty. At one point she tried to make small talk but was just very rude, asking very personal questions. I have to disagree with Xxxxx S. from Lakeville. The pedi I got here was no better or any worse than anyplace else I've ever been (except for one--see below). In fact, there is no pedicure that stands out in my mind as spectacular--they're all pretty much the same. I did not notice any difference in the tools they use in comparison to other places. The scrub substance was not at all painful for me. In fact, nothing was painful. There is, however, one place in Middleboro that stands out in my mind as the worst pedicure ever and it is not this place (...place contains the name of a flower). The woman at the other place always cut my nails so short that it was painful for days, and she must have had a problem with her eyesight because when she was done, it looked like Stevie Wonder had polished my nails. Also, there were many times at that place that I paid for a pedi but got only a polish change. With that, T and C Nails is much better than that place, but really, just as good as any other. read more
