I came here and they were very rude. It CLEARLY states on the website that walk- ins are available. I walked in with my friends and they asked why didn't we make an appointment. They were very rude and we were getting stared at. They said they were booked but only had 2 workers. read more

This nail salon has been very hit or miss with their gel manicures. I'd say 7/10 times that I've been the gel wore off within 7-10 days. They also ALWAYS take appointments but do not stick to their times. I went in for a 9AM apt and was told to sit and wait. There were only two girls on and both customers had at least a good 20 mins to go. I said never mind and left. All in all, I'll be finding a new spot. I visited Kathy's Nails a few weeks ago. New to Whitman and she came up in my maps. I won't go anywhere else now. Blown away by her thorough job and the cleanliness of her salon. One of the best pedicures I've ever had! I knew I'd be writing a review before it was finished. When I get a pedicure I really look forward to my feet being rubbed and unfortunately it usually only last 2 min.. not at Kathy's she spent a lot of time working out my tight muscles and it was much appreciated! I had been going to a different place for over a year when my friend told me about her going to Kathy's. I went once and was sold! The ladies are so friendly and always make me feel special. They do a fantastic job and my manicure last a long time. Appointments are easy and they work hard to stay on schedule but I understand if they run a bit late since they make sure your nails are perfect and the way you want them. My last appointment ran a bit long because they wanted to make sure it was just as I wanted. After going somewhere else for a year, my nails were never done at the other place the way I wanted and the other person told me it was not possible to do. That isn't true as I found out going to Kathy's. I love the place and look forward to going. read more

The second time I went, I was with a bridal party, including my 5-year-old daughter, and we all got mani/pedis. It was a fun atmosphere. I have been seeing some very mixed reviews and even some blatantly negative reviews of Kathy's Nails and felt it necessary to add my two cents in support of Kathy and her staff. A friend first brought me to Kathy's several months ago. I have, through the years, patronized several other salons and must say that the customer service I experience and see practiced with others at Kathy's ranks right up there in the top few. Kathy and her staff are always doing their best to accommodate every person that walks in the door, appointment or not. (I always schedule appointments, personally.) I recognize the fact that they are trying to accommodate everyone, and sometimes I may need to be a little patient, but that's okay! I know the end result of their work product will be excellent, and that is what matters. If I ask for a particular service, they will take the time to talk with me, to ask what the net result is that I want to achieve. Sometimes they will suggest my trying something else and they explain why. (As a result of this, I now sport gel powder manicures and LOVE IT!) My pedicures are fabulous, the massage (which was a surprise) is fabulous, I am very, very pleased. If you are new to Kathy's, understand she is a business woman doing her best to make everyone happy. Sometimes that means you will not feel like the most important person in the room. Put the shoe on the other foot. Imagine you are the one she is trying to accommodate. You wouldn't have it any other way, would you? As for payment methods, I used to always use my debit card to pay and then tip in cash. They did ask if I would consider paying by check or cash recently. When I understood how much they have to pay in fees to the credit card processing company and how much that eats into their profit margin, I was happy to oblige. After all, the prices they charge for their services are among the lowest I have seen around, so I believe their request is fair. It's business. I appreciate the lower prices and am happy to help them with their profit margin. Just my thoughts, folks. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. I called to make an appointment for myself and my daughter for manicure/pedicure for 2pm. I made it clear that it was mommy and daughter time. They painted my 10 year olds fingers first, which I assumed I would be right after. Nope they painted her toenails asked me to come to the pedicure station. I explained to her again that we were suppose to be doing it together. The polish on my daughters nails was rushed like 10 minutes. My daughter asked for a pawprint for her dog, she said she didn't know how to do that and put on glitter when she didn't ask!!! They apologized and continued to be aggressive about taking me next, I made it very clear that I would not be going anymore. They charged me 15 for her painting, I handed them a 20 and walked out the door! My daughter asked me to remove the paint when I got home! Oh and they state they take cards on their site but asked for cash! Worst place ever! read more

Me and my friend made appointments the day before for 2 pedicure in the morning before we left for Miami and she said yes that will be fine. We arrived a half hour early just in case and she had told us we never called and made an appointment. Then she said oh yes I see you here you did call after my friend had showed her on her phone she did call.... Werid how after that we were in her planner?. After getting there just as she opened she said ok. Then we waited another half hour after two older women walked in and she took them right away and still left us sitting there. Then she says I'm sorry girls I forgot I booked you 4 at the same time I only have two of us here today and the other girl is in training so it will be just another hour can you come back?. No?!.... You left us sitting here for almost an hour and then tell us to come back in another hour... Really.... After that we said forget it and she said okay and had no problem with us leavening. So unprofessional so annoying and rude will never come back here.... Don't even bother wasting your time. read more
