So when i call to schedule an appointment, the woman answers "HELLO!" And i was so taken back i had no idea what to say... booked an appointment (i think), get there and it's just this random room. I yell down into the hallway "hello?" And this woman greets me, speaking ZERO English. Believe me, i do pretty well with language barriers, but i wasn't able to have a single fluid conversation with her. Once she leaves, i get onto the table and I KID YOU NOT - when i put my face in that little hole in the massage table i was looking down at 2 pairs of men's shoes and 3 quarters on the ground..... she proceeded to give me a one hour massage with ZERO LOTION in a silent room. No music, nothing. She yawned probably 15 times. Not even kidding it was the most painful experience, she was rubbing straight bone, at one point had her knee up on the table with me (for leverage? Idk) and when she repositioned my arm it brushed up against her phone that was sitting on the bed. Yeah. She was one hand massaging me/phone in the other hand? Idk. needless to say, was very VERY clear she was absolutely NOT a masseuse and had zero knowledge of where muscles are in a body (? Could that be possible?!?) i am more sore today than when i started out yesterday. Side note: Trust me, i have had a lot of massages and understand that sometimes it doesn't always feel like clouds and you can be sore afterwards. I am in PAIN now. There is a difference. To start, i can admit i was not wearing the appropriate underwear for a massage, not knowing i was going to book one until i was out for the day. So I'm on my back and she's massaging my feet... and she grabs me by my ankles (kind of like you do when you're lifting a baby's legs up to change their diaper) she stretches my legs to the side, then to the other side then TRIES TO STRETCH MY LEGS TOWARDS MY FACE - LIKE UP IN THE AIR - almost completely mooned this woman before saying "no, it's okay, that's good", paying her and leaving. When trying to make small talk during paying, i asked her if it was just her here and she said yes. Did not make my sign an intake form, and saw zero proof of a healthcare license. Not sure what that means. Not sure what any of this means. But definitely would NOT recommend that place to ANYBODY!

I was in pain and just wanted some relief. I had to tell her multiple times to focus on my back but instead she chose to go over my arms and legs twice... The deep tissue massage felt more like a swedish and I left still in pain :(. She is good if you're looking for a basic swedish massage, but not if you're in pain and need any sort of specialized massage. I can't say I didn't leave her feeling more relaxed. He claimed he responded, and told me to "log into Contact Us" to find his response which again, was really weird and almost felt like he was messing with me. I explained to him that website contact forms don't work that way, and after a few unproductive back and forths - there is yet to be a solution. Now about the experience: While the therapist was kind and welcoming, there were several concerning issues: Un-safe massage + language barrier: Despite repeatedly telling the therapist she was hurting me and asking her to go lighter, she did not adjust. At one point, she used a translation device on her phone, but even after that, the pressure remained too intense. She mostly used her elbows and forearms directly on my spine and scapula, which was extremely painful and did not feel safe. There was also a point where she rubbed her forearm across my neck horizontally, which was not only dangerous but was not relaxing in the slightest. Stretching Concerns: I am hypermobile (very flexible), 112lbs, and without asking permission, the therapist sat on my back (guessing she is somewhere in the range of 160+), had me hold her wrists, and pulled me far past a comfortable range. I was in pain and had no way to make her to stop, given that she had my arms pulled back...and strained my back in the process.l Equipment and Comfort: The plastic face pillow did not fit properly, forcing my neck into an awkward angle throughout the session. Either my chin jutted out while my eyes were squished, or my mouth and nose were squished but my eyes were ok. lol Both options put my head at a weird angle and the pillow was really firm. It honestly looked like a toddler toilet seat cover and was such a weird shape. The sanitary cover used was nothing more than a rough paper towel that kept slipping, causing my face to rest directly on the uncomfortable plastic surface. Payment Process: At checkout, I tried to show the therapist a website promotion for $10 off this month from the company's website, but she did not understand. She kept asking about the tip, then FaceTimed (presumably) the owner, and did not know how to operate the credit card machine. Like at all. I ended up assisting her with the transaction, navigating the device for her, and had to show her where to find completed transactions. I could see how this situation might make other clients feel pressured or uncomfortable. I was mind boggled that she had no idea how to run a payment. I left the massage in significant pain and had significant visual bruising on my back and pain in my lower spine that has been going on for 4 days. I ended up at urgent care where the Dr was able to confirm that my back was strained by the massage. This review is not exaggerated or inflammatory, it's literally what happened. In my inital email, I expressed my concerns about safety and pain and asked for a refund...yet no solution has been presented from the business's side. I will update if that changes.

Today was my first visit to Palm Beach Massage. I saw Greg, and he was great. He made me feel comfortable, at ease, and heard. Before we stated, he asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted to get out of the massage, and where I was feeling pain. And during the massage, he checked in with me multiple times to ensure I was comfortable. I have gotten professional massages before, but Greg was by far the most therapeutic. He seemed very experienced, comfortable, and confident in his craft. I am really looking forward to my next appointment!
