I was skeptical going in the time of COVID but my back was killing me and I couldn't put it off anymore. I workout a lot and my body was in need of some TLC. I booked my first appointment with Rachel and I have been back every month since I first started! Rachel is the best in getting out all of the kinks and applies the perfect pressure. In result of working from home since March, my posture and back were suffering. Rachel focuses on what you want her to focus on and gives recommendations on what to do outside of the massage to keep your body going strong and to eventually see some improvements. I've been listening to her recommendations and I already feel 10x better than I did before I started coming. She's a miracle worker! Serena is a bully, I was treated like an animal. DISCRIMINATION AGAINST DISABILITIES. I tried to…read moregive her a second chance, but she treated me horribly both times I scheduled with her... This woman literally kicked me out of her office for asking very nicely for her to turn off the television... as flashing imagery can cause seizures for me. I asked nicely 5 times and tried to explain why, but she kept cutting me off and saying, "Just don't worry about it." If I could simply not worry about it without making myself sick, I wouldn't have asked. I then said, "Please, can you just turn it off before we begin so I can open my eyes?" And she preceeded to kick me out, saying that "alright it's not the vibe, just go to massage envy,' and 'this is not the dynamic of Sanar massage." Okay? Then why are you making it the vibe?? She literally said, "I'm a healer! I don't play these games!" Girl... if you were a healer, then WHY would you subject someone to something that would make them physically ill when it's simple enough to just turn the massive television taking up the entire room OFF? She wouldn't let me finish a thought. Wouldn't let me explain why I was asking for this simple accommodation. My partner tried to interject and explain that I do infact need this in order to avoid a dangerous neurological response. She wouldn't let him speak either. I begged her to just please just hear me out , and then she threatened to call the cops... I am taken aback. I have no idea how this woman stays in business when she treats her kind, genuine, well-paying clients like absolute garbage. To Serena: I have to protect myself constantly from triggers in the outside world... I came in fully loaded with sunglasses (at night), ear plugs, a brimmed hat to help block out unwanted visual input, and a face covering because I'm immunocompromised. I did everything I could to protect myself and make my needs clear. It's your job to LEARN about your clientele so that you can best treat their underlying conditions causing pain in the body. If you won't listen to this one sentence, how am I expected to effectively explain my other ailments that may determine the treatment I can endure? I hope this message helps you learn the invaluable lesson of being open and loving to those with different needs than your own, and perhaps open your mind up to the idea that not everyone's perception of the world is identical. If you were a true "healer," then you wouldn't let your ego get in the way of providing care to those who need it most.

I "booked" for deep tissue massage and the massage was obviously was not deep tissue. Or, rather, there were a few minutes out of an hour and the rest was some basic light massage. I know the owner mildy and I am on the email list. I wrote up a potential complaint and I emailed it to the owner. I know the owner mildly because of seeing a previous massage practitioner named Scott who previously worked here/there. (Scott no longer practices at this clinic/office/space.) She called me back, refused to refund any or all of the money I had paid. She said the problem lay with me for not insisting or asking the guy to do deep tissue; she offered to provided me with a discount on a subsequent massage. I declined the offer of another massage . . . Avoid unless you know the person providing the massage or the quality, if you are looking for deep tissue, healing from injury.

Buy something that looks like a $25 Deal and only save $5? That's ridiculous. I want my voucher money back.
