Craig and Becky could have been judgmental of my novice status, but instead, not only welcomed me and treated me with respect and dignity, but really helped me get what I wanted. Craig guided me to buy a .22 rifle as a starter rifle, to get used to shooting comfortably. Then, when I wanted the Ruger Walnut stock on a rifle that came originally with a composite stock, he and Becky started a month-long journey of finding the stock, realizing the trigger guard was attached to original stock, ordering that, finding out internal pieces didn't fit and grinding the inside of the stock down to fit them, finding the trigger guard well was shaped differently and chiseling that out, finding the screws were too short and getting new ones that fit. It was nothing short of amazing. With this first gun, I wanted something special, and for me that was the Walnut stock - I got even more than that - a beautiful custom rifle which I am so happy with! Now, I'll be taking a rifle course with one of them to help me start my journey! I have rarely received such wonderful customer service nor met such great people. It is everything I would expect from Virlee. The place is immaculate, from the moment you walk in the door, the shoot is clean, bright and well organized. The people that work there were incredibly nice and helpful, explained how my membership worked, got me registered and then we were ready to go to the range, as expected safety first, you must have eye and ear protection on before you go into the anteroom. Everything was explained as we went in, how the lane works, different targets, how to change distance, clearing up your brass when you finish, etc. the range is state of the art, clean, and the lanes are a good size. They offer lessons, and have plenty of firearms to rent as well as ammo if needed (if you rent one of their firearms my understanding was you have to buy ammo from them for it). The memberships are a good value and there are different levels. The only downside for me is location, it is about a 40 minute drive from Green Bay, but worth it for everything a membership gets you, can't wait to go again.
