We were driving from KC to Illinois when we ran over a piece of metal. Things were fine for a few…read moremiles, then we started losing air pressure in the front right tire. We limped into Cameron and made our way to the WalMart Auto Center. They were very busy but worked us in and we were on our way within the hour. They repaired the tire. The total cost was less than $20. It was an all around excellent experience. A special shout out to George at the desk and Jacob who manages the shop. It was leaking three days later (I live three hours away). Midwest Auto told me to take it to my local mechanic and they cover their mistakes 100%. Apparently that isn't true. Another $300 to my local mechanic after Midwest Auto apparently forgot a step. When called by my local guy for payment, they declined saying to the local mechanic, "you understand, you're a small business".... and my local mechanic responded, "we would have correctly installed the transmission"...... Would have been happy to pay the extra $300 initially just to have the car fixed correctly. Come to find out $35 in parts at their location would have saved me $300.....
