Our family of six had a short Pacific-Northwest trip and we prioritized getting souvenirs on our last full day. I usually like to pick up baked goods and snacks from local mom and pop shops and/or grocery chains. We visited T&T at 4 pm on a Wednesday and all of the shelves and baked goods and hot bar areas were well stocked. It was really tempting to get a little of everything but I had to restrain myself because we did not have the capacity to finish everything before our departure and we would not be able to bring everything back to Chicago. after checking out winners and wandering around lansdowne centre, i was pleasantly surprised to see that t&t supermarket was open. for some reason i had confused the closure with another richmond location that had permanently shut down, so it was a nice little surprise while walking through the mall. when i stepped inside, several staff were busy unboxing and stocking shelves. carts full of products were waiting to be put out and boxes were stacked along the aisles, giving the sense that the store was getting ready for the evening rush. even with the activity, everything felt organized and easy to navigate. this location is one of the largest t&t stores in canada and it occupies the former target space at lansdowne centre, which makes the layout feel especially open and spacious. the wide aisles stretch across what used to be the big box floor, and the selection is massive. you can find just about everything here, from fresh produce and live seafood to meats, frozen foods, sauces, and pantry staples. the snack aisles alone are worth exploring if you enjoy browsing asian treats and drinks. there are also dedicated counters for deli items and meats, along with a large prepared foods section offering chinese bbq, dim sum, sushi, and hot meals ready to go. it is definitely the kind of place where you might come in for groceries but end up leaving with dinner. unexpectedly, there are even shelves with kbeauty products mixed in with the grocery sections, which adds to the feeling that you never quite know what you might discover while wandering the aisles. after my initial shock to find this t&t is open for business, i remembered i was running dangerously low on coffee. after spotting my favourite instant vietnamese coffee, i ended up grabbing as many boxes as i could carry in my arms. visiting t&t always feels like a different kind of grocery shopping experience. i especially enjoy coming around chinese new year when the store fills with festive decorations and displays, and it becomes the perfect place to pick up things like hello kitty red envelopes. their mooncake displays during the mid autumn festival are also impressive, with rows of beautifully packaged gift boxes ranging from traditional styles to snowy skin and mochi like varieties. overall, this is a great place to explore if you enjoy asian groceries, snacks, and specialty items. with its huge selection and spacious layout, it is easy to lose track of time while browsing, and it is definitely a spot i will keep coming back to whenever i am in the area. read more

Stopped in to peruse and pick up some miscellaneous items. They have everything from fresh produce, home or kitchen gadgets, slippers, live seafood, to hot foods. It's large and the parking lot outside has sufficient parking for customers. For a store with so much to offer and the amount of foot traffic, it's pretty well organized and clean. It's also super convenient. They had ample employees working and we did not have to wait long to make our purchase. We saw these Chinese style crepes being made at T&T and decided to try out the 2 eggs version of it. It was basically 2 eggs, with some sauce brushed on top, a few garnishes such as green onions sprinkled on to it, and some kind of large crispy cracker. A mexican style flour tortilla chip is the closest analogy that comes to mind. The crispy cracker was very greasy at the top. A bit too greasy for our liking. However, once we got past the greasy edges of it and got further into the centre, this crepe was quite enjoyable! My family think this place is a hidden gem for us in Canada. Their hot food selection is like a buffet style, and we noticed that the selections vary from day to day. The employees are very busy during peak hours. They also have porridge, desserts, appetizers, dim sums, Japanese food, etc. I think the taste of the food can beat some of the local restaurants. Also, the price is affordable and budget friendly. The market also has a great pastry and bread selection. As now US dollar is strong, it is wonderful to shop in Canada. We came to this location in Richmond. It was easy to find parking in the parking lot on a Sunday early afternoon. The store was spacious. Full of varieties - fresh food, pantry items, beauty products, etc.! I got some snacks and powdered beverages so we could not have issues crossing the border. t&t supermarket is one of the single best supermarkets i've been to, and that's coming from someone who literally is addicted to grocery shopping. perhaps i am just an Uncultured American TM, but i felt it had an incredible selection of snacks including many that I've never seen before. (Ex. siu mai flavored chips, sakura matcha pocky, taiwanese railroad bento flavored rice puffs, beer flavored chips, and much more!) additionally, its hot food, deli, and bakery area has a huge variety of different foods as well. and unlike some grocery stores, whose hot food selection looks a little gross and unhygienic, t&t looked super clean and well-managed. because i stayed at a hotel in richmond bc nearby, i came for breakfast before heading to vancouver for some sightseeing, as t&t is open pretty early. ok food review time! s-tier: jian bing (chinese crepes): this is a chinese street food that is typically eaten for breakfast and consists of batter spread on a large hot metal plate with eggs and sauces (hoisin and chili sauce) along with your choice of toppings. i added bocui (thin crispy crackers), scallions and coriander, and chinese sausage. all of these flavors and textures complimented each other really well. a-tier: fan tuan (taiwanese rice roll): this is a super popular breakfast in taiwan (my absolute fav) consisting of a chinese donut (you tiao) in the center with pickled vegetables and pork floss around it all wrapped in rice. (like a taiwanese burrito, i suppose.) t&t also lets you customize your toppings by adding things like pig ears and braised tofu into it, which i thought was really cool. my one criticism of their fan tuan was that the rice wasn't firm enough, so it fell apart a bit when eaten and was pretty messy. overall, t&t supermarket is a great place to stock up on snacks and groceries or grab a quick bite to eat! read more

When we were at the Produce area, the male employee pulled a large cart with boxes on top and walked towards us when we tried to walk past the corner. He stopped there and looked irritated. Then he told us with his pointing finger to walk around the corner while the large cart was blocking us. He should not block us and told us to pass him; it did not make sense and we could hurt ourselves. If the staff saw customers were coming, they should yield to customers first by pulling the cart aside, or the staff could say 'excuse me' and passed customers quickly. But do not stand in the customers' way and tell the customers to pass them. Moreover, another male employee came to stand in front of me after I just passed the corner to block me from keep walking. This was unreasonable and dangerous. When we tried to exit from the self check-out area after we paid, the female employee of the station led a female customer, who was pushing the shopping cart from the exit of the station, walked towards us which made us difficult to exit with other customers around us in the self check-out area. We did not know why the female employee would inconvenience customers. read more

The biggest T&T in Richmond BC? They have a Starbucks cafe on the side!! A lot of variety of prepared goods and selection of produce/meats/dried goods. Easy parking. After you pay, there were a few stores (boba, haircut M studio?, acupuncture/chinese herb, figurine) you can peruse. They buy a lot of there products and repackage it and relabel to the T&T name like Trader Joes. read more

This T&T is huge! It's the biggest in the area and easily the best. Especially of note is that they have not just a live seafood area but also an attached seafood eatery where they will cook your chosen seafood! It's such a great idea. Another two hot food areas that were well received by our group is their jiang bian, made to order savory Chinese crepe, and their sticky rice roll. Both are excellent and at excellent prices. Another specialty item is their house made soy milk beverage. It was delicious! We bought a variety of baked goods, Cantonese style and a Filipino one too. This place looks pretty amazing and worthy of more explorations in the future. Their selection is definitely better than other stores. The dry goods prices are still higher by a bit but in this case, it's worth it. If only there is one closer to home. read more

In addition to my previous review, this one is focused on the Breakfast Menu offered at the mini food court station within the supermarket. Breakfast is served from open until 11am. We went there at 10:15am and by the time it was 10:30am there was a long line up. We waited about 15 minutes for our food but it was worth the wait. We ordered Combo C $4.50. Green Onion Egg and Chinese Donut Sesame Pancake with a warm Soy Milk. The pancake had great crispy layers, the Chinese donut was chewy inside and crispy outside and the green onion egg was a great texture and moisture balance with the entire package. The warm soy milk was the best - warm, sweet and so much good soy flavour! We also ordered a side of Steamed Rice Cakes $3 - nicely al dente steamed rice rolls covered in sou sauce, hoisin sauce and peanut sauce - yummy combination! I can see why there is a line up when you can get all these tasty items at such a low price. Worth the wake up call ;) read more

While T&T offers a wide variety of meat, veggie and fruit, their prices are no longer competitive and their points system is useless for a non-Chinese speaking person. Being owned by Loblaws, they should amalgamate the PC points, offer better pricing. Some good points - their cakes and pastries are particularly good. The frozen section, fruits and veggies have good selections. It is fun shopping until one sees the bill and wonders what did we pay the high markups on? We wait in line, and bag our groceries. Price - getting more unreasonably expensive. They buy mostly from Asia, frozen and the markup is extremely high! They have good prep meals but I would like to see prices per gram go down. . I live in Richmond that is highly competitive and even the mom/pop shops offer better pricing now, plus Freshco, Walmart, Costco, WaShang and Foody World, etc...they are losing their touch! I suggest they expand their cash counters as I hate being rushed to put groceries in my bag especially at lansdowne! Staff - well, at least they have more staff than Superstore.... And the people are generally helpful but on rare times, somebody does not speak English but helpful when I open my phone to translate. Sigh, the usual, each time Loblaws gets involved, quality or service at some level suffers. I hope T&T does not lose its touch any further especially on price. The owner got paid a lot when Loblaws bought them and the family is still involved so I hope they go back to their roots and not get blinded by $$$$. read more

So new T&T Supermarket opened up taking over the old Target Store. This is so far the biggest T&T that I have seen so far. Lots of parking here. I do find good deals here. They have a few new things that the other T&Ts do not have. For example, you can get seafood here and they are willing to cook it for you for $5/lb based on 5 different cooking methods. They also have self checkout here. I know, I know - other super market has self checkout and what is the big deal. Well this is the only T&T so far that I know of has Self Checkout. The hot food section is definitely bigger. They also have a section for food stalls (coming in late October or November). This T&T has two entrances. One connected to the mall and the other to outside. The interior is clean and the shopping isle are wide. For their grand opening, you get a free "I love T&T" round key change that can be used for the shopping buggy. This will be my go to T&T Supermarket if I am in Richmond. read more

This is my first time here. It's a pretty big place and pretty clean as well. They have a lot more products than other T&T's. I came here on a Sunday morning around 9:30, it was pretty busy especially at the produce section and there was quite the line up at the fish section. I believe you need to be wearing a mask to be able to enter the store but I'm not sure. That's a good thing I guess but because everyone is wearing a mask they think they don't have to social distance. Everyone walks right up to you or beside you.....I guess the mask will protect you right???? Anyways, maybe I'll come back on a weekday and see how it is then. *this review is long overdue* my dad and i went on a vacation to seattle in july 2023 for a week and also decided to drive up to the Richmond/Vancouver area. (we're from the 626 area in los angeles) and decided to check out a this market near our hotel. in my opinion, T&T is much better than 99 ranch in the US. its also in the lansdowne centre, so its like shared with different restaurants and shops. it's also really spacious, with a variety of different things you can choose from (grocery shopping, bakery, boba, skin care, and getting actual takeout food). although T&T and 99 ranch are very similar, there's still a lot of differences between the 2 markets. the service at this market is very good. the employees were very helpful. although my dad and i were struggling to figure out which canadian money (coins) is which, the cashiers were nice enough to help. one thing i'd say wasn't the best was the seafood section. it seemed like it wasn't really that fresh compared to the 99 ranch seafood. overall, i recommend visiting T&T if you're planning on visiting Canada. it's a very large market compared to 99 ranch, so it might take some time to finish roaming around the store :/ read more

Tnt is the place to go whenever your on the go or in general looking for some comforting and delicious cheap eats. * T&t sticky rice ($5.99) ~ 4 fillings I always get pork floss, marinated egg, Taiwanese sausage, and you tiao. These are chef kiss with the super delicious sticky rice. 8/10. * Hot food ($11.89) ~ we ended up getting a variety of different meats the cutlet fish was crispy and good, I wish we had tartar sauce to pair with it. 7/10. The sweet and sour pork was crunchy but the batter was on the thicker side 4/10. The sweet pork ribs were flavourful and yummy and the meat just compliments and pairs well with the sticky rice roll. 7/10. The sweet pork chops were my favourite it was sweet and juicy and the pork was well coated and good 8.5/10. * Mango daifuku ($5.99) ~ this was ok la. I do like the mochi texture it was delicious and chewy. There was loads of custard the custard was sweet and creamy but it was too much making it too sweet. The one we got seriously lacked mango it had like one small bite piece of mango and the rest were cream. 4/10. * Overall T&t is a good place for their hot foods and it's cheap too! Plenty of parking outside the supermarket, makes it easy to come here without worrying about parking traffics. This is the best TnT grocery store by far. It is located on Lansdowne Road, which is one block North of Westminster Highway. The plaza is located across from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. On the weekends, this place is packed and parking is notoriously difficult to find. The inside is huge and well organized. Everything one needs for Asian cooking can be found here. They even have a seafood bar where you can select the live seafood and then for a minimal price, cook it for you right there. I love this new T&T! I believe it opened up around 2 or 3 years ago? But man, I get really excited when I'm coming here. I love how they have the addition of the Seafood Bar where you're able to buy fresh seafood and have them cook it for you. Everything is just laid out so nice and then there's the other section where they're selling hot food, sushi, cakes, pastries, and even milk tea! I'm a huge fan of their baked goods because everything is fresh and made daily. Their cakes are wonderfully made and beautiful. Compared to the US, it's at an affordable price. Go check that section out! There are some things that are a bit pricey but they also have really awesome weekly specials! It's a clean supermarket and I thought the service was nice. If you want fresh seafood, T&T Supermarket is where to go. You can go and pick out your seafood options: lobster, crab, fish, prawns, clams, and mussels then have them cook it for you. There is an eating area where you can enjoy your sashimi fresh cooked seafood. This grocerant also offers a seafood sample platter but the quality is not as fresh as the ones you pick out for yourself. Seafood platter: $12 for 5 prawns, 5 clams, 5 mussels, corn and potatoes. Was here on a Saturday around 2 p.m. and it wasn't too crowded. They have a huge bakery section with pastries made here. They do have some imported so just check. One wife and I were doing our regular weekly shopping at T&T Supermarket Lansdowne Mall in Richmond. We bought over $300 in groceries and of that would a bit of time to pack them in our bags which we did as quickly as possible. The female cashier instead waiting for us to finish bagging our groceries she went ahead to service the idiot customer behind us. Terrible customer service- very rude. Aside from the hype of this store being the biggest in Canada, t&t is probably one of my favorite grocery stores, and I had to check it out after their big grand opening. The first thing to note is that this store is like a deluxe, upgraded version of your usual neighborhood t&t. Aside from the usual bakery and groceries, there are some special goodies! 1) In the back corner of the store, there is a Taiwan food section with a bunch of taiwan classics and street foods. The first thing to note is that the prices are amazing for what you get. With most things being around ~$5, these prices remind me of costco and their food courts. Having lived in Taiwan, the taste was not exactly authentic, but still really yummy and an great value. 2) Beside the seafood department, there is a seafood "bar". You can buy your seafood fresh from the tanks, and they will cook it for you to eat right there and then. There are many of these kinds of restaurants in China, but probably the first I've seen in Vancouver. Definitely seems like a great deal and I will have to come back to try it out!
