It's nice that they have a T&T Supermarket close to the downtown area. My first experience to a T&T (always visiting from the Bay Area) was the Lansdowne Location in Richmond. It's huge, has a whole bakery, hot foods, cosmetic, and various other departments. Obviously to compare that location - set in the residential area, to this one - set in the city, would be unfair. T&T at this location does a good job at having enough of its well known items - fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, baked items, cosmetics, and beverages. All in all, it's a great location with its proximity to downtown Vancouver, Chinatown, the Stadium, and my favorite - Costco. Wishing it continued success. read more

Every time I come downtown by skytrain I stop at stadium station and go here on my way to the International village which is right across the street. It's very reasonably priced and has every type of food item you would find in a grocery store. The desserts are amazing and well priced. I love the mango cake and the whipped cream and fruit cakes. Their tarts are also very good. Today I went in to get some take out food. There is quite a food selection including soups and rice. And it was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. t&t is an awesome grocery store, this location isn't as big but it still has a great selection of fresh produce, breads, desserts, sauces, etc. however, i've witnessed a few unsettling incidents with unruly customers and theft, which makes me feel for the hardworking employees. on this particular visit, i was on a quest for these viral frozen sweet potato bread, but this remains elusive. instead, i stumbled upon zihaiguo, a self-heating vegan mushroom & konjac claypot rice hot pot, which comes highly recommended by chef ming tsai, who claims he may be out of business (and no, i don't believe it was a paid ad). on another occasion, i found the propitious mango ice cream bars and couldn't resist (okay, so i may be easily influenced). stepping in to t&t, it's easy to feel like i've been instantly transported to the orient. i especially love visiting during chinese new year, when the store is adorned with festive decorations, and I can stock up on hello kitty red envelopes. their selection of moon cakes, from traditional to frozen and mochi moon cakes during the mid autumn festival is mind boggling. this t&t location lacks a lottery ticket counter, and crepe station, but they have live seafood, an alaskan king crab and plenty of fresh spot prawns when it's in season. the snack aisle is a definite must to check out, they have a bakery, deli, and butcher, in addition, they have k-beauty products. read more

Price has gone up 10% in recent months and now the dumplings is 4 for 5.99$. Nothing special and it's just Chinese fast food. There are other varieties like BBQ Pork on Rice or Noodles but depending on the demographic location. I just like my quick dim sum lunch as my office is next door. Taste is acceptable but don't expect the packer would put extra sauce in the Bean Curd Wrap though as mine was bit dry. read more

Big bright market located across from International Village mall. Or if you are arriving by skytrain, it's the Kiefer exit at Stadium Station. They have a large produce section, a decent bakery that sells my favourite Middle Eastern Bread ( hard to find ) They also have good cheesecake as well. Lots of Asian products besides food from Candy to Beauty. They also have a hot food section with individual servings. At night it looks like they mark things down to prevent waste. Staff is hit or miss- some are very helpful, but many can be rude and dismissive. Prices are about the same as other downtown markets. Check website for hours as they tend to change. read more

The cashier this time pointed to the scanner silently without looking at us when I had already shown my points card next to the scanner for her. Her gesture was rude and unnecessary; she should move the scanner for customers. Also, the janitor was mopping the floor again in the produce area when the store was busy. T&T obviously does not care about customers; they always want customers to yield to them. P.S. They did not have the correct price tag for the items across the fish tanks by the entrance (the items were shown as regular price but they were on sale in the flyer). My husband and I just arrived in Vancouver from LA, so we were looking for a place that sells food, drinks and prepackaged meals. From our airbnb we saw T&T, so we came over and boy, I was glad we did. The market is a good size and has everything- from fresh produce to meats to frozen stuff and then more. This location feels like a U.S. 99 Ranch Market but cleaner (sorry) and without the fish smell. The bakery section has a wide range of Asian pastries and western breads. I honestly want to eat them all! There is a self serve steam counter, like Whole Foods, it's pay by the pound. There is also a counter selling hot dim sum and BBQ meats. We got a hefty 2-item combo (two meats of your choice and rice + vegetables) for CAD 15.99 only! We also got a small tray of 4 shrimp dumplings (har gows) and 4 pork dumplings (shumai/pork hash). ** We ate them as brunch and have 1/3 of the combo and 2 shumai and har gow leftover. Really good for your bucks! I saw some exotic tropical fruits and bought 4 pieces of baby mangoes. Oh.My.God. They were so sweet!!! A little pricy for 4 baby ones - CAD 6 - but totally worth it. We also got a big bottle of barley tea from Taiwan, so delicious! T&T Market also sells Asian makeup, skincare and even toys. Staff was helpful and friendly. Loved this supermarket in Vancouver! I was staying nearby for a business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find this supermarket within walking distance of my hotel. Ended up coming here for two nights in a row to grab a quick dinner to eat in my hotel room. I loved the hot food bar and also the ready-prepared meals that you can grab and go. So convenient and very extensive selection of all sorts of Asian foods to suit your fancy. I was eyeing all the decadent Asian pastries, too... but alas, my stomach didn't have enough room to get any for dessert. What a shame. That bakery sure looked mouth-watering. read more

I find that the pricing at different T&T are not standardized. Meaning some items could be more expensive or cheaper compared to another T&T. So in terms of pricing, I don't think there are lots of good deals here but its close to or should I say its located in Chinatown/Downtown/Close to Yaletown. So due to the location it has the rights to charge more which makes sense. If you spend more than $10 you get free parking. And of course parking only cost $1 in their parkade. The place is clean but its not spacious. The place can be busy but not extremely. I don't usually prefer going here due to its size and pricing. Staff there are meh.. Instant noodles, sauces, meat, life seafood, snacks, frozen dumplings etc. It even has a mini bakery that cranks out excellent cakes. Parking is ample downstairs, though the huge population of Asian drivers also means there are also marks on all of the concrete pillars. ICBC must be having a field day here. Their hot food selection is decent, though you can actually get cheaper dimsum at restaurants elsewhere. But their deli section is always good, with tasty delicacies such as snails. So I recently visited the H Mart on Robson and reviewed that grocery store as "average", since it was cluttered and a bit in disarray. If that store rated 3 stars, than this T&T store definitely ranks 5 stars (or more!). Comparatively speaking, this place is WAY more organized, well-laid out, better stocked, with a fabulous hot food/Asian deli take-out area (amazing prepared foods!). For folks familiar with the Seattle area, this place is the closest you'll find to an Uwajimaya store, with its wonderful ready-made food area and fresh (live) seafood in tanks and bakery areas. The produce area was well-stocked and all the fruits and vegetables appeared to be fresh. There's a self-help island with various Chinese hot foods, where you pay by the pound (or metric equivalent) for dishes like beef and broccoli, etc. There's an extensive display of sushi dishes and platters and bubble teas upon entering. There are SO many types of breads and buns in the bakery area - way more than at Uwajimaya (which is pretty impressive!). I keep going back to the ready-made/deli area, since that department impressed me the most. Here you can order SO many different types of Asian meals, from dumplings and hot stuffed buns to Bento box-like meals and rice bowls and more. I love this stuff! The only thing missing here is an area to sit and eat. Surprisingly, there's no dining-in area in the store. This is my new go-to grocery store for Asian foods. read more

Numerous times I've come here to get dried conch for soup, only to find that they don't have it, but on occasion, they do! Metrotown location is the best. - Pricing is a bit higher than Superstore for the exact same product, so you can get it there, which is what I do, because T&T does not have bulk diapers! - Meat is a bit cheaper at Ferry Market, which is a couple of stones throw from here. T&T has a ton of unique Asian grocery items that you could never find at a Safeway, etc. They also have a big produce section, with a large variety of fruit and vegetables. The dairy section is decent, and the bakery is awesome. Tons of cute cakes and tarts. I bought a chocolate cake here last week, and it was so good! Really fresh with lots of yummy fruit on top. They have a Mango Mousse cake that I would love to try next time. There's also a fun candy section, and lots of dried fruits. The prices at T&T are pretty good and there's always a few different sales going on. I should also mention that all the cashiers are always really sweet and friendly. However, somebody needs do a better cleaning job in the seafood department. Lots of stores sell fish and they don't smell this bad. Other than that it's a pretty fun place to shop. read more

Wow this market is amazing. It has everything you ever wanted or need in an Asian market. Fresh Peking duck, steamed buns, live seafood etc etc. This was a rare find downtown Vancouver. The bbq pork steamed bun was amazing. We came in right as they were bringing them out fresh. Oh man let me tell you it was so good. Fluffy yet steamy as you bite into it. T & T is one of my go-to places for most of my shopping for dinner food and Chinese snack foods. It's pretty much an all-in-one store for Asian products. I get around the store quite easily, I know where things are. I speak Cantonese and a little bit of Mandarin, so I can easily ask for help if I need to find something specific. I notice however that if you do not speak Chinese (my kids speak only a little bit of Chinese) help from store employees are minimal. Many of the staff there do not speak a lot of English. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and well maintained. Pricing is better than a lot of other places. They have a bakery and cooked food section that gets two thumbs up from me. Got the $3.29 Vietnamese Veggie salad rolls from the deli cooler. The food item came in a plastic wrapped styrofoam tray containing two uncut rolls and one peanut sauce. The rolls were average portion size and consisted mainly of rice noodles that tasted moist and semi sweet. The featured ingredients were red and brown bean curds which attributed to the overall sweetness and yielded a spongy texture. The mediocre peanut sauce was sweet with subtle peanut flavours. Due to dipping the larger sized rolls I ran out of peanut sauce with 1/2 roll remaining. The largest Asian supermarket chain in Canada...this Chinatown location is certainly impressive. It's clean (almost too clean) and huge. It doesn't smell like an Asian supermarket and they had tons of free samples. The bakery section impressed me the most, with lots of baked buns, bread (the bread said it was made in Japanese manner for softness), cakes, custard tarts, sticky rice. There's a deli with fancy steamed buns and Chinese BBQ. The cold appetizer bar looked great with prawns, mussels, etc. The refrigerated case had sushi, Asian salads, spring rolls, etc. The selection of Asian food included items I hadn't seen before, including sticky rice popsicles from Thailand, yogurt soda popsicles, etc. They were promoting the Taiwan Food Festival and I found all sorts of Taiwanese treats. They have plastic red shopping baskets that people drag along the floor by a long handle (first time I've seen that). read more
