I don't know what them other guys said about the service but I had a server named Austin that was on point, he was very nice and entertaining. The food was great, I had the stacked enchiladas. What a disappointment today with the service and the food. Normally the food and service are better. Our server almost had 10 people walk out because of how bad he was. Someone else finally came and rescued him but it was too late for others. The Charo beans, that I normally love, were just water with beans - very bad. read more

My favorite Mexican food around. Salsa is awesome, stuffed avocado is perfect, shredded beef enchiladas with jalapeño sauce is my favorite thing to get, fajitas are great, beans are great, basically most things you would judge a tex mex place for are all quite good. The restaurant can be a little loud and busy at times, so it isn't always a good place for a quick meal or a relaxing dinner, but it's so good you won't care. read more

We recently moved to the Longview area, and T. Blanco's is the best Tex-Mex we have found so far! It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the extra drive it takes to get there. Having heard so many great reviews, we expected a long wait at 7:30 on a Saturday night, but were grateful when we were seated right away. The restaurant is pretty large with lots of tables. That being said, there are almost too many tables! The first table the hostess tried to seat us at could not accommodate 4 adults, as the table behind it was so close that we couldn't pull the chairs out. The restaurant was pretty empty at this point, so it was an odd choice of placement and we requested to sit elsewhere. The menu is quite interesting! Mexican fried rice, cajun enchiladas, you really can get anything. Prices are on the more expensive side compared to similar restaurants in the area. You can expect to spend $10-$15 on the average entree here. I opted for the chicken fajitas. They came out sizzling hot with some kind of butter dipping sauce. The chicken also seemed to be coated with butter already. For $14, the portion was a little skimpy. The chicken was tasty, though a little light on seasoning and cut into larger pieces than I'm accustomed to seeing. The fixings that came with it were all fresh. Didn't enjoy the veggie side dish, as it was too salty, but liked the refried beans. Tortillas were fine, but didn't scream homemade. My husband had the carne flameado, which is essentially just like queso flameado with chunks of fajita beef mixed into it. It contained perhaps the most cheese I have ever seen in one single dish! He loved it of course, but was unable to finish due to the vast amounts of cheese. The bite I tried was absolutely sinful. The other members of our party had enchiladas and nachos which they said they enjoyed. Service was fine. Our waitress came by continuously throughout the night but not in an annoying way. There was one mishap with an incorrect order sent out but the manager himself personally came over to the table to make sure we were taken care of, even though we didn't bat an eye at it. We did notice that as tables cleared around us, the staff began to stack the chairs upside down on tables to clean the floors. It was a little off-putting, as you would think Saturday night would be their prime time. We will be back to explore the rest of the menu! read more

The service is great! The food here, however, is very under par. This is my third time to eat here. (not my decision the second two times) The dishes are very under seasoned. The deep fried unsalted avocados filled with flavorless chicken and bland cheese are boring. The pulled pork taco plate is two flour tortillas filled with meat that is able to be dry yet dripping with grease at the same time. I'll leave the sides to your imagination. I give them a star for service, and a star for atmosphere. I certainly hope no one asks me to join them for dinner here again, I just might need to grab some Mi Casita on the way.... read more

Well to start off there's not enough waiting room to sit and wait for a table. Service sucks and the food was good but not the best. I'm from here but moved to Austin for 12 yrs and i have yet to find a mexican food restaraunt that even compares. And to top it all off, the kids wanted a desert so we went to the bakery/ice cream bar and I purchased two cups of ice cream which each contained two scoops of ice cream and ended up paying more than $4. however, it took a minute to register but I paid $1 for each scoop(no bigger than toddler's fist), and when i walked away i was thinking what a rip off and what an idiot I am. And what a waste of time and energy to have even looked forward to an outing where nothing was what was expected. read more

Food was pretty good but service was very bad. Waiter left plates at table and never came back until she brought the check. Glasses were never refilled. We were never asked if we needed anything else. Very unfriendly staff. I won't be back. read more

Probably my favorite Mexican food in Longview but it's quite a drive! Some unique dishes (Mexican fried rice). Pricing on the fair to higher end for Mexican food in ETX. Wow!! I stopped in here to waste some time because there obviously is nothing at the Longview airport and was amazed. I had a cajunchilada and the T Blancos lime chicken. The cajunchilada was unique but was amazing. The chicken was recommended by the bartender and was perfect as well. I was glad to find this little gem. read more

The white queso and frozen margaritas deserve the 5 stars alone. Also recommend the Sunrise Quesadilla and fried avocados. Amazing!

I am reposting because some how the original was removed!! Ok I know this place just reopened after the fire but from reading some of the other reviews they still have a lot of the same issues. My wife and I ate there today for a late lunch around 1:00. We ordered the Blanco dip it was nothing but canned cheese with hamburger meat had better at the little league baseball games. I ordered the stacked chicken enchilada it came out refrigerator cold on a plate that was so hot it would burn you. I don't understand how this could happen. Our server took it back and gave me another one that was hot. It was ok nothing to write home about. My wife ordered Shelly's Dish with refried beans and Spanish rice. The enchilada was ok nothing special the beans ok but the rice was bad. The rice had carrots in it, this is a Mexican food restaurant not Chinese. I don't think veggies belong in the rice may just be me. I doubt we'll be back. On a good note they did a good job on the rebuild. The building is very nice it has outside seating on a nice deck, if they could just get the food and service to match!! read more

We stopped at this restaurant because every time, even odd hours, we drove by there were many cars. Great sign of a good restaurant. We went on Saturday about 3pm., I admit. I love the ambience. If it had been a tad cooler we would have sat out on their great outdoor patio. Honestly, great patio. We asked to sit by a window and were seated quickly. The chips and salsa are a big deal to me. And they were - eh. I love salsa and didn't even finish mine and definitely didn't ask for more. We split an enchilada and taco meal with beans and rice since we'd had a big breakfast. We just really wanted to try this place. It took a long time to get our food. It was hot but just disappointing in a few ways. The beans are a smooth texture like I desire but really flavorless. The rice was undercooked. If we had more time I would have asked for another chance at rice. The crispy beef taco was very good. The enchilada was cheese with chili con carne and it was good but we had asked for onions and were given some roughly large chunk of onions in a small bowl. We actually wanted onions IN the enchiladas but maybe that wasn't possible. We didn't have time to have a margarita and maybe they are great. If we were to return, I would get a combo without rice and beans but I probably won't return for the biggest reason being their chips and salsa are just boring. read more

Okay, I am sad to report but the last 3 trips here have been disappointing. I still like the place, but they have got to get the kitchen sorted out. In each of our last three trips each person in the party has ordered enchiladas and they have come out not cooked with cheese still solid in middle. (0 stars if it let me) I hate this place. The food was horrible. the service was horrible. The aps. were actually served after the entrees arrived. All the food was cold and the shrimp stunk like rotten fish. We left the entire meal on the table. I told the manager of the complaints and he could not have cared less. So i paid 60$ for an uneaten meal and 30$ for pizza because everyone was starving. This place is a joke and should be closed immediately. read more
