They take clothes there for repairs and alterations and explained that, not only is the work always of the highest standard, but probably cheaper than anywhere else. What higher recommendation could you ever need?!! Almost needless to say, I took some clothes straight down to the shop (which you'll find just round the corner from 'Subway' through the door on the left and up the stairs) and left them (along with a deposit) with a friendly lady there. A few days later I went back to pick up the clothes, which were beautifully repaired, and to pay the balance of a few pounds. Certainly cheap for such professional work and I shall definitely return when I need any more sewing done!

I remembered this shop was here from a while back, as its hidden way back of the centre. Whilst the jacket was checked in I had time for a coffee & half an hour later my jacket was ready for collection. DO NOT USE! I put…read moremy blush coloured dress in to have a new zip put on ahead of a wedding I was going to that weekend. I was told I could collect it the next day - Great! When I went in to collect my dress not only was the zip on my blush dress white but it was catching on the lining. The chap took the dress through the back I'm not sure what he done to the dress but there was the sound of an aerosol. I was told this was unacceptable condition to be given back to me and that I could come back and collect it once the zip had been refitted the next day. Concerned the WD40 had been sprayed on my dress I left the centre feeling very concerned over the state my dress would be returned to me. So the next day I went to collect my dress to find that the zipper was still white, that it wasn't concealed as it should be an that the white zip material was visible on the blush coloured dress, which instantly made the dress look cheap and nasty. and that the zip had not been sewn the whole way down, there was an open gap at the bottom of the zip. The zip had also been had stitched on the outside of the dress leaving ugly visible stiches. I then went to pay for the repair which so that I could get the dress back to be taken elsewhere to be surprisingly told that the cost of the repair had gone up from £9 to £15. If anything the price should have gone down for the state of the repair and for the inconvenience of it not being in a returnable state when I first went to collect it.

Once home I discovered that the scarves length was fine and the bottom of the new length had been finished nicely BUT the width had simply been halved by cutting with scissors and the seam down the length of the scarf not finished off. Already it is starting to fray. This cost me £10 to be given back a scarf that has been spoiled. Poor show AND service was given without a smile and barely a word spoken. Will not use again.

In less than three hours the trousers were tried-on, pinned to the correct new size, professionally altered and ready to collect. I've never tried this kind of service before and was a little nervous. I needn't have worried. Stitch in Time was a revelation. Highly recommended. They do all sorts of tailoring and alterations, even make up curtains from scratch. I've added a couple of photos that list what they do and the 2016 prices.

We were running for the train, but I saw this dress in the window of a shop for 15euro. I ran in, bought a size medium, and continued on for the train. It turned out that the dress was massive on me, so I went to get it altered. The alterations were pretty cheap, considering it was the whole dress, and it was ready the next day. It looks like a really popular tailor in the local area.

I must say I was impressed by the beautiful and colourful range of spring and summer clothes, some in the sale, some not. There are a couple of changing rooms beside the check out and I took advantage of one of them to try on various garments. I ended up buying several things (actually on two different days as I couldn't resist another look!) including a zip-fronted gilet and some striped and floral tops. You'll also find shoes, scarves and bags, so there's plenty to browse, and the staff are helpful and pleasant.
