Met up with friends here for dinner. One of the friends stumbled upon the place last time she was in Brugge so wanted to return again.
The best way I can describe the atmosphere is gezellig, which roughly means "cozy" in English. The place has a homey feel to it and is very comfortable. We were seated at a cushioned booth for four, which was just lovely!
Service is also great--as most places in Brugge, they speak a variety of different languages (Dutch and English for our group) and I'm certain French as well and perhaps more.
Menu is very limited but food is great, whatever you order.
I took the first menu for 17,50eur, which allows for at least 2 choices of dishes for each course. I ordered the soup of the day (leek soup), vispannetje (assorted fish with cream sauce and cheese all baked in the oven) and chocolate mousse. All was definitely great! Not the best food I've ever had but still wonderful. Everyone else was also happy with their dishes (stoofvlees, fish soup, salmon, milk rice....). Selection of alcohol was also great (although I wasn't drinking).
Although I did enjoy it, I'd also not be opposed to trying elsewhere in the city as I know it is full of excellent restaurants! read more
