I'm so glad I stopped in! They had a variety of designer-brand jeans at discounted prices and the assistant was extremely helpful. When I struggled to find some that fit "just right", she brought a few pairs and even suggested that I try a smaller size--I guffawed (really? that's flattering she'd think I'd fit into THOSE, but hahah, yeah right!)--well, they ended up being PERFECT, and I walked out with those jeans in my hand. It can be hit of miss so sometimes you go in and find nothing and other times you go in and love everything. It all depends on what they are able to get in stock so you have to give it a couple of chances before you write it off. They have AJ jeans which are my favorite and they are usually around $300 but sometimes you can get them for as little as $40 which is amazing. I have also found Frye boots there for $50 or so. The women who work in there are super friendly and super helpful as well so it always pleasant to go in there. Whenever I am shopping in the Old Port I try to stop in there first to see what I can find before I go spend a fortune at the other high end boutiques downtown. If you are local check back regularly because you never know what steals you might find. :)

Aside from their clothing, both locations (Biddeford store as well) have many odds and ends, including jewelry that is made by smaller companies, some home goods like blankets, pillows and decorations; hats, shoes and belts, stationary, a few baby clothing items and some good gift items. Staff is helpful and there are many that go out of their way to make your experience shopping a good one. Clothing is also online on their website. This spot is not to be missed.

That being said theres a few things that are uniquely and insanely annoying about every location. #1 there isnt a good boxing station. I do like that they use boxes, it makes a lot of sense, however theres not a good place to accomplish the task of putting everything into a box. So youre using like the picnic eating tables or an empty register to do it and youre always in the way. #2 the location of the bathroom is so insanely frustrating. It is ALWAYS beyond the checkout and with no clear path to/from it. So if you have to use the restroom before checkout it is such a process and so inefficient because youre having to go through the open checkout aisles. #3 no aisle labels + the location of where things are and what they carry is constantly changing. They have an amazing selection but it is not consistent at all. #4 the location of the carts is on the other side of where you come in, so the traffic leaving the out doors is always clashing with the traffic arriving to the in doors. They should put the bulk of carts on the side of the in door. Otherwise i love Costco, but these are systematic things that just make no sense that to me would be pretty simple to fix when they open new stores but the issues are always the same.

But, for the things we buy that are on our list, it's always a great deal. Favorite Costco (Kirkland) items: frozen chicken chunks and paper towels. I'm a Bounty girl but these paper towels are on another level. To review the specific warehouse: *it's insanely busy all the time, just as other warehouses we've been to *despite the busy-ness, it still feels clean and organized (not organized as in it makes sense because nothing about the layout makes sense) *people are vultures for the free samples. If you want to actually try something, get in line early *they move their stock around frequently. You can't look in the same place 2 weeks in a row because it likely moved *every employee we've encountered has been super friendly and helpful *not only do we get our dog meds at a massive discount but the pharmacist is so friendly! I am definitely a Costco junkie ;) Costco itself gets a 10/10.

The real problem for me was despite the fact there were quite a few people working there on a not very busy weekday no one offered me one minute of salesmanship or assistance. I liked it so went to to the register to purchase it. Nary a greeting was uttered by the lackluster guy at the register. And after paying more than I should have in retrospect for the top, this lamebrain took it from the tousled heap he had made of it on the counter and deposited said "heap" into the bag. Oh...he asked me first if I wanted a bag. I had a tiny purse with me and nothing else. Yes, I want a bag even though in your eyes you want to make me out as a wasteful person hence your question because in this day and age no one should want a bag...ever. I am not going to walk out of there with a shirt slung over my bare arm. "Just give me a freaking bag", I wanted to yell. My husband thought I should return the overpriced top after such crappy service but that meant I would have had to spend more time in this awful store. After the payment transaction and before leaving the counter, I took my too expensive top out of the bag and proceeded to fold it properly as should have been done to begin with.
